This is not a bad Kroger in town. Came in here to do some preliminary Thanksgiving shopping to avoid the crowds in the upcoming weeks and was pleasantly surprised. This is probably one of the largest Krogers in town and it can be a bit overwhelming. They have the Starbucks inside which is always a nice way to start out some leisurely shopping. One positive thing to note is the cheese section. My boyfriend and I had some cheese recommendations from a restaurant and wanted to see if we could find them. The lovely woman, Joy I believe was her name, behind the counter helped us out tremendously and even let us sample the cheese to ensure it was what we were looking for. She was helpful and kind and definitely deserves the recognition. We were able to find everything we needed and it didn’t get to crowded until on our way out around 12:30 on a Sunday(post church crowd). All in all a clean, efficient and friendly Kroger.

If I could give this store fewer stars I would. There are some really good employees there.. But the customers there tend to think their shxx doesn’t stink and who are clearly jerks any time of the year. Last Sunday aroound 4PM while I was in the baking aisle in a battery cart because I had just had an operation a few days before. I had this person slam into me with his cart, catching my leg and and hand between the carts. When confronted he said it was because he thought I was taking up too much of the aisle. I was over as far as I could get. All he had to do was say«Excuse me» and I would of manuvered the cart enough for him to get by but apparently he thought he was too good to be polite. My side hurt the rest of the day because of the impact.

Oh. My. Gosh. There is so much food here. This is quite possibly THE solution for hunger. Frozen pizza? Yes. Meatballs? You bet. Cereal? Milk? Donuts? Yes, yes, yes! Then, if that doesn’t absolutely rock your world enough, there are like flowers and stuff too. Mind. Blown. Go ahead Kroger. Keep on kroging it up.

This Kroger(along with the one in Middletown) is one of the best locations in town. I love it! There’s only been one or two times when I have walked out mad which is a good sign when it comes to myself. They seem to have everything I need all the time! They’re also a 24 hour store which makes them even better!

This is probably my favorite Kroger in town. It’s clean, there’s a good selection, and they frequently have sushi samples. Also this is my favorite place for grocery sushi! I love the sushi here! They have a really nice selection of cheeses and make a lot of yummy dips and spreads too. I try to plan my grocery days around when I am closer to this Kroger even though it isn’t the one closest to my home.

Overall this is the best Kroger I have seen in the city. It is clean, staff are mostly courteous and efficient. I would recommend this Kroger because it is warm, welcoming and its medium size. It has a good variety of fresh fruits, vegetables and meats. Their grilled cheese sandwich is to die for!

TONSANDTONS of gluten free and organic options. More than any other Kroger store in the area that I know of. The store is huge so if it’s your first time, then be sure to leave extra time for finding what you need. Now that I have dietary restrictions, this will definitely be my new place to shop.

I honestly have no idea why they bother with an organic produce section. It is… ummmm. pitiful. Sometimes I stand there in total disbelief that they would even have most of it out. And don’t get me started on the lack of open lanes at peak times. Good thing the magazines are there; at times, you’ll wait so long you’ll be able to read one in its entirety.

Silly Kroger manager… you probably didn’t realize that I’m petty and quite capable of holding a grudge. Also, I work right by Valu Market. So, that extra $ 1 on my receipt today? A good way to guarantee that the next $ 1000 of my dollars are spent elsewhere. On an unrelated note… while I appreciate you putting the produce together in one bag, watermelon should go on the bottom. Pretty much the only produce that wouldn’t be smushed by a watermelon is another watermelon.

This is a chain so I do not like to comment specifically on most chains. I do however comment on store and staff and this location is always clean and the staff is very friendly.

Although I live closer to Dirty Kroger, and all the hipsters love to shop at Krogay, this is the Kroger I go to when I want to feel like I’m rich people. I have always found this to be a relatively clean Kroger, and I usually shop there on Saturday night, so it’s not even too crowded, since its habitues are at Porcini’s or Majid’s or Equus on Saturday nights… The natural food section is great, they have the best price for Dr. Bronner’s soap anywhere in Louisville, and they just started a «build your own six pack» in the beer section. Take out that infernal Starbucks and I’d give it 5 stars!

I go here for essentials because it’s cheaper than most of the options in the St. Mathews area. But I cringe whenever I enter. If anyone knows of a better place to shop, please let me know. The fruit and veggies are never fresh. There is always random smashed grapes and fruits smothered all over the floor in the produce department. The pharmacy department is inept. Although many of the employees are fine there are a bunch who are very rude.

Best Kroger I’ve found in Louisville. Newly remodeled to look like a Whole Foods. It has large Natural Foods and Prepared Foods sections, and the produce is fresh.
