I’m pretty impressed! From the small details like mouthwash in the restrooms to the lively colors and then, the FOOD. Atmosphere: Hint of trendy, good music, nice lighting, I didn’t see a TV. It seemed to be focused on getting away from it all for a little bit. Service: Very good. A little language barrier but I’m good with that. Everything came out exactly how we ordered it, and in a timely fashion. Food: Outstanding. Everything is really balanced on flavor. They have a simple, yet bright and pretty way of presenting their dishes as well. Vivid colors. Portions are about fair for the price considering it’s quality. Parking is plentiful. Big bar. Some really large tables for 8 – 10 tops. Get the guac and salsa samplers btw. You’ll be happy ya did. Oh, and the duck flautas for sure. We had a ton of menu items. The only thing that wasn’t that great were the churros. Other than that, this place kicks some ass. I WILL be back, often.

Excellent Mexican food experience. Server, Sierra, was excellent. Everything was delicious from the beginning– salsa & guacamole, entrees, to the end– Churros for dessert. Two thumbs up for this restaurant. We WILL return. Too bad it’s so not closer.

This place rocked my world. As a vegetarian, our food is often an after thought at all restaurants. Guaca Mole had an amazing and inspiring menu that gave me more options then I could have hoped. First off, they don’t give you chips and salsa like most places. For $ 1.99 you can order some, so we do, expecting just the normal bagged chips and plastic bowl of salsa. Instead comes out a salsa tasting display with 3 different types and a fresh basket of just fried tortilla chips. My only issue? I wish their ‘hot’ salsa actually had some spice. Other then that the flavors were great. I ordered the Vegetarian Tamales, which I was VERY excited to see ‘cream of huitlacoche’ listed on the description. What is huitlacoche? It’s actually a corn fungus that is a delicacy in mexican cooking and I’ve never had a chance to try it until now! And it was super tasty! The dish comes out looking like a picture, just beautiful. At the bottom of the plate is the corn husks from the tamales and the huitlacoche sauce, on top of that is the tamales and just tons of fresh veggies. Roasted tomatoes and goat cheese scattered about, and just a bit of crema on top. Everything tasted fantastic together, the veggies in the dish were very different then you would see at a regular mexican restaurant. Yellow squash, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, etc. The tamales themselves were solid masa, instead of the items being inside of the tamales like most meat versions. My husband got the the vegetarian enchiladas, which had much of the same veggies but it was coated in a beautiful green poblano sauce. Most places you order enchiladas at are covered in cheese, this had just enough to not take away from the other flavors in the dish. Oh I almost forgot! My tamales had sweet plantains on the side which were amazing. If I had more room in my stomach I would have gotten a whole dessert plate of them. All in all this place inspired me to think outside of the box when it comes to mexican food. The flavors were so energized and different. Anyone who is sick of the ‘normal’ kind of mexican food you can get anywhere needs to check this place out. What this place could use is some brighter lights, I wanted to take a picture but it was just to damn dark. Oh well!

This upscale Mexican restaurant is owned by the Olé Restaurant Group, so you know it’s going to be the best of the best. Located a bit out in the suburbs, I don’t get to eat here as often as I would like. However, it’s definitely worth the trip. Let’s start with the drinks… I’ve had the mojito and the margarita. Both are tasty. They’re freshly made; no pre-mixes or syrups. If you can get here for happy hour(3:00−7:00), the house margarita is a hell of a deal at $ 3.25. Now, the food… The food is excellent. As many have come to expect from this group of restaurants, everything is flavorful, fresh, and creative. Just plain delicious. I highly recommend starting off with the guacamole and/or the salsa trio. The guacamole is obviously(namesake) amazing. I love the salsa sampler just as much. For just $ 2, you get three bowls of fresh salsa. One creamy and spicy, one verde, and one chunky and mild. They are all divine. My favorite entrée is the short rib enchiladas. I’ve also had the carne asada burrito and chicken tinga burrito. Both are fantastic, but the short rib enchiladas have my heart. Really, you can’t go wrong with anything from the menu. The service is always great. The prices are higher than a typical Mexican joint, but they’re very reasonable for the quality of food. Remember, this is more of an «upscale» Mexican restaurant. I love Guaca Mole. Just like it’s sister restaurants, everything on the menu is phenomenal. Definitely a must-try!

Have you had their vegetarian tacos, fish tacos, margaritas, mojitos, scallops, ceviche, and pork guacamole!!! If the answer is no… Then you need to get up off that cute booty of yours and try one of those and maybe even something else! But seriously, this place is fantastic!!! You will thank me ;)

I was in town for work and a co-worker recommended this place for dinner as it was close to my hotel. I ordered the original guacamole and it was delish! Ordered the shrimp and crab enchilada and wow, it was good too. Ambience was nice. Was here on s Thursday so was seated immediately. Really wasn’t that crowded.

Came for happy hour with my girlfriends and it was superb! The food is delicious and the drink specials are a steal! Make sure you ask which wines and margaritas are included in the happy hour as they do change.

«Honey, tonight I feel like wearing my good penny loafers, listening to some house music, and paying $ 17 for a burrito.» If those thoughts have ever crossed your mind, then this is the place for you. I did not know it was an old Applebee’s, but quickly figured that out. It felt fancy enough with just enough humbleness about it to feel welcoming to a family with kids, like us. The menu had plenty of choices and this is actually a place that I wish I could have tried more of. I totally missed out on the guac appetizer and wish I had ordered that. My wife had the fish tacos and I had that insanely priced burrito. It was more like a steak wrapped in a tortilla. Not to say it wasn’t good, but because it was. But I just don’t know if it was $ 17 burrito good or not. It was certainly filling and I enjoyed every bite of it. A little on the fence about the 4 stars. Was not thrilled to see the pricing and we had our 2 little ones with us at the time. If you are bringing kids, go somewhere else. They have, what I felt like, was a limited kids menu. This place would have been better for just the wife and I, I think. The service was really slow as well. It took entirely too long for things and we even had to inquire about the chips and dip. When it arrived, it was really great, but we were thrown off a bit because of how delayed everything felt. All in all, not a bad spot. I would easily go back and try some different items on the menu.

I was very surprised with the food not typical to what I’m use to, every thing was fresh and hot and very flavorful I’ll try to spell what I had cornada pork. I will be going back

A wonderfully different Mexican restaurant with great food options, they make their own sauces, the different dips to go with the chips were delicious. I had the chicken tacos and they were great as well. They have an awesome drink list, although the beer list is typical with all the Mexican beers and one local one which the name escapes me right now. I’d recommend they add a few more. Laura was great, such a happy person and great server. The décor is very bright and cheery. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone!

Distinguished from a pack of one off Mexican fare joints, this place offers some great variety from the norm. The array of exotic guac concoctions were delightful. I had a pork poblano that was more than enough for two meals. Lots of space inside this refurbished Applebee’s so I’m sure it’s great for mingling after work.

Can not say enough good things about this establishment. From the service to the food and all the way around a stand up place. As the name suggests, the guacamole here is something to write home about. We got the sampler and all three have flavor for days. Unique blend of textures and flavors make each one better than the last. I got the Carne asada burrito which comes smothered in queso cheese, a side of beans and a bowl of rice. Enough food to make two meals. The steak was tender and cooked just the way I ordered. Veggies inside are also grilled to perfection. Could not stop eating. Service was so spot on I would rank it right there with fine dining restaurants. Margaritas are nice and strong, will have to come back for happy hour soon.

From the little I ate at Guaca Mole I have to give it four stars. I went in with every intention of having dinner, but after the three appetizers between four of us, I was way too full to try anything else. We had the Yucateco guacamole, queso & the smoked fish taquiitos. The guacamole was my favorite because of it’s unique flavor. I loved the corn inside, the pickled onions and the plantain chips. So yummy! The queso was the white gooey yummy cheese you find at most Mexican restaurants. The fish taquiitos were good but not what I expected. Guess I should have read the menu a little better, but by that time I had several cocktails. Hahaha! Speaking of their cocktails… very, very good! First I had a Swirl margarita that consisted of frozen margarita mix and their house made sangria. It was my favorite! Refreshing and delicious. Then I had the top shelf margarita on the rocks with salt. Again, very good. The last drink I ordered was the passion fruit mojito. Can you say wow!!! It was absolutely wonderful! Very fruity and minty. I can’t wait to go back. I’ll skip the appetizers next time and go straight for dinner!

They have amazing food and drinks. Start with the guacamole or the salsas. Fish tacos are amazing so are any of the moles. The last time I got a pork burrito and it was AMAZING! I guess the real telling thing is that I’ve been here more than 20 times and have never had a bad meal. The food is one thing but then the service deserves its own review. The wait staff have alway been knowledgeable and courteous.

I love the Yucateco guacamole. I dream about it. I fly through a dreamscape of fluffy clouds made of fresh avocado & roasted corn & pickled onions, on a plantain chip, magic-carpet style. The food is amazing, the presentation is beautiful, the atmosphere is inviting, and the service is great if you have a party of three or more. Unfortunately, if there are only two of you, service seems to be practically nonexistent. It’s a phenomenon I’ve noticed on several trips to Guaca-Mole. Parties of two get seated at teeny-tiny tables that are barely big enough to hold two glasses of water and a couple of appetizer plates. Once you add margaritas and guacamole, you’re flirting with disaster. Someone is going to knock over a glass or drop a fork on the floor. Inevitably, extra dishes get stacked on the divider wall next to your table, because no one ever appears to remove them. Entrees arrive and the servers watch as you stack more dishes on the divider wall to make room for them. When you’ve finished your meal, you wait for ages before accepting that you’re going to have to hunt the server down to request the check. Again, this only seems to be an issue with parties of 2. I’ve never had an issue with larger groups; the servers are friendly and attentive then. Even when the service is lacking, I have zero complaints about the food. Have I mentioned how awesome the Yucateco guacamole is? Seriously. I could eat the Yucateco guacamole every day for the rest of my life and die a happy girl.

It’s definitely not your run-of-the-mill Mexican restaurant. All their food is unique and delicious. I especially like all of their house salsas, such a great variety and they are all amazing! You can’t really go wrong with trying out anything, but I would recommend the spicy chicken enchiladas. If you are just looking for quick, cheap Mexican food, look elsewhere. If you are wanting something a little different, though? Be sure to check it out.

Great experience! My husband and I came here with another couple in our family and we had a great time. The service was good, and the food was delicious! I had the short rib enchiladas because I had seen so many reviews mention them, and they did not disappoint! They come with a black bean sauce, sour cream, and are topped with a special kind of shredded carrots(may sound weird but the combination was to die for). I was so happy with my meal, I think I’ll have a hard time branching out next time we go back. My husband got the sirloin burrito which was also delicious– the sirloin was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We ordered the chips and salsa appetizer which was pretty good, but the general consensus at our table was that there was only one of the 3 salsas we all wanted to keep chowing down on. That being said, I did discover that if you mix the salsas you can create a pretty delicious concoction. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu! Or maybe order the short rib enchiladas again…

YUMMMMYUMYUMYUMYUMYUM. Ok, I am unabashedly in LOVE with this joint. At the recommendation of my coworker, my husband and I made the trek all the way out to Hurstbourne area just for this place. It is SOBLASTEDGOOD that the 25 minute drive from our Southern Indiana home is beyond worth it. First off, the staff is always fantastic – smiles all around, quick service, great recommendations, and consistent. No mistakes, and always there when needed. Secondly, the presentation is beautiful. This is not your typical gringo-fied Mexican cuisine with typical chips, warmed over rice, and bland/predictable flavors. Oh no. This is a party of color on your plate, with beautiful garnishes, attention to detail, and an absolute wealth of refreshing combinations. You had me at huitlacoche. Although I’m typically not a margarita drinker, I always get one here(something about poblano and mixed berry margarita — do it). Do the three salsas and chips, without a doubt. From ceviche to sandwiches, Guacamole is FLAWLESS. Unlike reviews below, find the portion sizes to be quite generous, and the prices right on point.

Let me preface this review with a warning. I’m from Chicago. I’m used to Burrito’s the size of Vince Vaughn’s head. Burrito’s filled with steak, lettuce, onions, sour cream and guacamole. Burrito’s you could use as a football. What I’m not used to is fancy-schmancy Mexican food. So Guaca-mole had one strike against it from the moment I walked in. The fancy décor, the weird art all annoyed the heck out of me. But then the food came, and as the cute girl on the car insurance commercial says, «I went into my happy dance» We started out with an order of Nacho’s. Once again, not what I’m used to. I’m used to a giant, steaming plate of chips covered with beans, cheese, lettuce and meat. What we got from Guaca-Mole was a giant plate of cheese and meat with the chips hidden underneath. I was seething until I took my first bite. It was delicious. The cheese, meat and chips melted together to form a dish of tasty bliss. After gorging myself with Nacho’s I moved onto my entrée. The Steak Burrito I ordered looked nothing like anything I’ve ever seen before. The best way to describe it is a Mexican Crêpe. Once again I was miffed until I took my first bite. The steak was juicy and tender and the rest of the fixings were a perfect addition to the meat. It was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Here’s the tasty bottom line about my visit to Guaca-Mole. Looks can be deceiving. Sometimes you have to put your preconceived notions in your back pocket and just go with the flow. I’ve never seen Mexican food presented this way, but when its this good, who really gives a shit about how it looks. For a Mexican food snob like me to give a place five stars means the food here is really good. So get off your ass and try this place. You’ll be happy you did.
