Love love love this place. I’ve been once and I’m in love! It’s kinda hard to find if you are unfamiliar with the area but it’s a super cool, laid back store. The back has clearance where I found an awesome skirt for $ 1. In the front I found a new pair of Silver brand skinny jeans with $ 92 tags for $ 7! Amazing find since you can’t find them for less than $ 40 on clearance! Definitely will be going back.

it is always fun to wander in and peruse their random selection of offerings. Things I always check out: –the records –the clothes –the back room(where clearance items go to be found) I am glad this place exists and that it is so conveniently located for me. I have seriously found some cheap records here and also some that I threw a bit more down for but have not regretted. The clothing selection is hit or miss, just like most thrift/vintage/consignment shops. Have fun!

Astro Black and Fat Rabbit used to share this space until the end of Oct 2015; now, it is all Fat Rabbit but the store is identical and equally off the charts. Vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, happenings… all under the auspices of proprietor Jeff Komara. This shop is easily one of the coolest locations in Louisville and the gem of the Germantown resurgence.

Maybe this store just wasn’t for me, but nothing in particular caught my eye. My father, on the other hand, would have lost his mind at how many records were there. I’m more interested in knick-knacks and clothing, both of which were present but sparse. If you’re into films, music, or books, I highly recommend! On the other hand, they had a vintage adding machine for $ 18, as well as some possible antique jars and glasses for a couple bucks each. Pretty cool!

I have shopped at Fat Rabbit since they opened and the prices are very reasonable… or as they say«priced to sell». I keep up with the Instagram, which tells me what’s new daily(very modern). They also have a record store in the same building(Astro Black Records) so you can shop for home goods, clothing and music all in one place. I love taking the vintage clothes and putting a modern twist on them, for example… making men’s XL shirts in to crop tops. I have always been greeted with a warm hello and feel very comfortable in the neighborhood. It’s so close to Nachbar!

Holy Hipster Thrift Store, Batman! What a gem this place is! For serious. A really neat thrift store. They gots clothes. They gots antiques. They gots books. THEYGOTSVINYLS, CDS, ANDVHS. Telling you. For a small shop, they got it going on. Oh, and they’ll buy your ish. The guy that does the buying is named Jeff Komara. He’s the owner. If he’s not in, you’ll be deferred to a time when he is in. So if you’re looking to sell, call ahead and go when he is in. A turbo neat store. Why haven’t you gone yet? WHYHAVENTYOUMADETHEEFFORT? ISITBECAUSEYOUDIDNTKNOWABOUTTHISPLACE? Well you do now. You have no excuse. Go to Fat Rabbit and spend yo’ money! *Flying heel kick, somersault, landing in karate stance* Or face me!

Not enough good things could be said about this place. coats? theyve got em. dvds, blueray, vinyl, cds? yup. They even have a $ 1 shelf for DVDs and VHS. And don’t forget the floor-to-ceiling bookshelf wall! The clothes are better than I’d like to share with you. mostly because I’m worried you wear my size. they have lots of sweaters right now. Shoes, too. One of my favorite places to check out(besides the coat rack and $ 1DVD shelf) is the vintage knick-knack wall. There was once a hand puppet from the 80s therapists used to use for play therapy… it was a plastic mom with her dukes up. Let’s hope not too many people picked up that puppet during therapy sessions… just sayin’. Today I bought a porcelain dinosaur to put on my desk at work, right next to my Dr. Who tardis and #ReadyForHillary poster. they take cards. Oh, and when you park on the street, turn in your side mirror: it’s a busy road.
