Elizabeth’s Timeless Attire is my favorite vintage store in Louisville! The clothing selection is smaller compared to other vintage stores in the area but I rarely leave without buying 3 – 4 items. At other stores the selection can be overwhelming. The quality of the clothing is always amazing. You can tell the pieces are hand selected with care and are a notch above the rest. I have found dresses, skirts, coats, purses and jewelry that I will cherish for years to come. Many pieces have a story and Elizabeth is a delight to talk to. Elizabeth’s is a must for anyone who loves vintage.

Best and best-edited vintage boutique in Louisville, IMO(if you are pretty serious about your vintage, but not SO serious that only Chanel labels will do). I stop through every time I’m visiting home in KY, and don’t think I’ve ever not left with something pretty. Also quite well-priced for vintage — I stop through similar stores in quite a few cities, and think Elizabeth’s has some of the best pricing I’ve seen(only Chicago vintage stores come close).(Note this is NOT thrift; while I think a beaded cashmere cardigan for $ 50 is a total bargain, not everyone does. And per poor Taylor S’ review, if you were looking for the mall, you have also come to the wrong place.) Don’t overlook the jewelry counter — many fun and unusual pieces, and nothing too unaffordable. Vintage hats are a strong suit — this is Kentucky after all. Don’t miss the ‘20s and ‘30s mesh handbags(some quite fragile, but all so fun to look at) The ‘40s — early ‘60s seems best represented here, tho I’ve also seen Edwardian-looking linens and the occasional ‘70s-looking dress or bag. Isn’t it more fun to buy vintage things from a local wonderful little store from a woman who’s business has been a part of the fun of Frankfort Ave for decades than on eBay when you can? I think so too ;-) This store is worth a trip out of your way(consider combining with a trip to the wonderful ‘2023 Antiques’ to look at the Lucite handbags, if you can.) Between these two stores the vintage apparel enthusiast or collector can do very well in Louisville.

I guess this is a good place to get costumey vintage clothes but nothing I’d wear on a daily basis. This place smelled like old people and the lady working practically pushed me out of her pathway to get something for another customer. Won’t be back unless I miss the smell of grandmas.

Elizabeth’s Timeless Attire is a wonderful place to start a vintage-shopping hobby. The store is small enough to not feel overwhelming, but is stocked with plenty of clothes and accessories to keep you looking for at least a half hour. There are plenty of dresses and hats, but if you’re like me and not sure how vintage clothing will fit your body, I recommend checking out the store’s hefty collection of jewelry. The staff of Elizabeth’s is excellent. Not only do they have a great grasp of the store’s inventory, but they also know enough fashion history to put items such as rhinestone jewelry or fur stoles in context. I recently visited Elizabeth’s on a weekday early afternoon and had the store to myself. The salesperson on duty was very nice and helped me pick out the perfect pair of very affordable earrings for my wedding. I was also looking for a purse for the big day but didn’t find one that I liked. The salesperson recommended that I periodically check in because they receive new stock weekly.

This is what I call paradise. It’s tucked away on a perfect little slice of Frankfort Avenue and filled with everything a vintage lover craves. The dresses are darling and from pretty much every era of the 20th century. The belts, scarves, gloves, heck all of the accessories are a cherry on top of perfection! I feel like I’ve taken a step back in time every time I visit. It’s hard for me to leave without picking up something, even when I’m just supposed to be browsing. The vintage lover in me never leaves disappointed, although my wallet my not be proud. For a vintage store of such high caliber, I have to say the prices are pretty reasonable. Elizabeth’s a quaint little place filled with vintage gems. The owner is just fabulous. She’s so down to earth and friendly. I don’t think there’s a better vintage store in Louisville!

Elizabeth’s Timeless Attire is by far the best vintage shop in the city. Everything in Elizabeth’s is an example of an elegant, lady like, and glamorous time in fashion history. I love browsing around for great had-bags, hats, amazing dresses, hankies, gloves, and my favorite JEWELRY(her selection of vintage jewelry rivals any antique mall in the area)! If you are looking for a little bit of Audrey Hepburn you need to hurry to Elizabeth’s Timeless Attire!

Elizabeth’s is one of my all-time favorite vintage clothing stores – and trust me, I have been to my fair share! My favorite era is 1930’s to 50’s – when style, elegance and grace ruled… and long before thongs! Elizabeth always has some amazing pieces, some so beautiful they are tear inducing(too small for me). She is very selective about what she carries because of her limited space. The good thing about her having such a small space is that you have a good chance to see all the clothes on one visit! She is very helpful, welcoming and friendly – someone who makes you want to buy from her. I’ve purchased MANY pieces from her: daytime dresses, special occasion dresses and old suits and accessories. Inevitably, people stop me on the street to ask where I got my clothes and I’ll say«Elizabeth’s in Lousiville» It’s worth the schlep from a distance!
