This place is great. Friendly staff, great pizza, and very inexpensive. They have several different toppings as well as salads and gluten free crust! They also serve beer and wine, which is nice.

Really good food, very fresh. I’ve been here twice — once at a peak time and it was mobbed; today at an off time which was still busy. The staff is energetic and makes eye contact. The manager was checking on all of the guests as they ate as well as bussing tables and restocking. A great place for families as well as a nice place to come alone.

If you haven’t been to blaze you are missing out. Personal pizzas fast fired in 180 seconds!!! You can’t go wrong here. I’m not even a fan of thin crust pizza but the crust after they fire it is perfect. The sauces are good and you can choose from a list of pizzas or just build your own from their bar of fresh toppings so it is vegetarian friendly and they also have gluten free dough. My 4 year absolutely loves this place… He calls it the fire pizza and says it’s his faborite lol. they also have pre-made salads wine beer and s’more pies which they also fire for you so it’s melty and gooey. They opened a second location in Middletown as well.

Just when you thought there wasn’t much room for innovation in the creation and serving of basic pizza, along comes Blaze. The innovation here, however, isn’t in the pizza as much as it is in the service model, borrowing the build-it-yourself, assembly line paradigm popularized by Chipotle. Key to making this work is a 900-degree pizza oven that bakes a thin-ish pie in 90 seconds, and a throng of energetic and competent staff to make the typically long line of customers shorter than it otherwise might be. What I like about Blaze is the one price($ 7.95) model, which allows me to to load up on toppings without having to deliberate about, for example, whether or not red peppers are worth an extra 50 cents… As for the pizza itself, there’s nothing particularly special about it. I’ve had better crust and sauce elsewhere, but seldom both at the same place, and Blaze produces pizza with a consistency that’s hard to find. The only thing I’m left wanting for here is a whole wheat pizza crust.

My husband and I can go and split a pizza for under $ 10! We leave satisfied(not overly full) and the ingredients seem to be fresh and quality. It makes for a great, cheap date night/day when you don’t want to cook. I would recommend going for lunch if you’re going to split because it is not tons of food. Just be prepared that this location is right across from Trader Joes, which makes for an adventure during rush hour traffic. Overall, very satisfied with this find.

***Dictated for my father who visited this Louisville restaurant on a Sunday evening: Have you ever eaten somewhere that had great reviews because everyone said it was good so you thought it has to be good, but then it was just kind of average? That pretty much summarizes my visit. While a great concept, Blaze pizza is simply a pre-made inexpensive crust with tomato sauce smeared on it and a few toppings of your choice that is put in a fire oven which tends to impress upon the customer that these average ingredients might taste good. Well, I guess that’s possible, but generally, average ingredients applied to a heat source leads to an average pizza. I looked around the restaurant — there were parents with kids, hipsters, and a couple of old blue hairs. They all seemed to be enjoying their experience with the exception of the blue hairs. They sat side-by-side at a 4-person table each with their own pizza eating silently and slowly like a couple of cows at a feed trough. Go try this if you would like, but I will not be back. I am going to get a real pizza, hand tossed with quality ingredients and wait… rather than focus on this rapid fire Jimmy John’s pizza process. **End Dictation. I wish I could make this stuff up, but honestly, this is what came out of his mouth when I asked him about his experience.

This place is AMAZING!!! Holy cow… best pizza ever! The combinations are endless, and the ingredients are always top notch. The manager there is very involved with the clientele as well as the staff and promotes great service, great food, and a fun atmosphere.

With so many pizza options in Louisville, it has been a long time since I have had a slice from any of the national chains. While Blaze is not truly a local establishment, it qualifies in my mind to be a unique/different approach on the American Classic. The pizza at Blaze is thin crust and does not need a fork and knife. I enjoy the create your own concept and appreciate the willingness of the staff to accommodate your requests. The pizza comes out fast once you get through the order line, it will definitely be hot. Although overall I prefer Boombozz and Coals, I highly recommend Blaze as an excellent option that is always fast and tasty.

Create your own pizza for $ 7.95 and blood orange lemonade? I’m in! They have a great variety of toppings so I always end up creating some weird but delicious pizza. The ingredients always taste fresh and the crust is one of my favorites. The best thing about this place is the service and the cleanliness of the location. Everyone is very friendly and tables are cleaned up everytime somebody leaves them. Did I mention they are super fast in fulfilling orders? I have never waited more than 5 minutes!

My boyfriend introduced me to this cool spot on Sunday and I am certainly glad he did. This is a simple, well-done concept. When you walk in, there is an assembly line of fresh ingredients to create your own delicious pizza. There are tons of fresh vegetables, cheeses, sauces and meats to accommodate any palate. If cheese is your thing– you can add them all and without fear of racking up a huge bill. We each had a well loaded pizza and it was only $ 16 total! If you aren’t up for creating your own pizza, there are signature ones on the menu as well as wine and beer. It is in a convenient locations in St. Matthews so grab some lunch before your holiday shopping!

We truly enjoyed Blaze! Gluten free options are always great and a must have! I built a delicious pizza that warmed my belly and heart. It doesn’t quite eat Pieology(in my opinion) but definitely comes second!!! The only constructive criticism I could give I to have the workers smile more and not act like they hate their job. I always enjoy eating in a joint that can provide exceptional customer service with a smile and friendly attitude!

I’d heard about Blaze opening when I lived around the corner in St. Matthews, and I was kicking myself a year later when I finally went around 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon that I hadn’t used that coupon for a free build-your-own pizza. At around $ 8 per personal pizza, this place is cheap, fast, and pretty delicious with what seems like pretty quality ingredients. Blaze has several signature pizzas or a build-your-own approach. I went with the Art Lover, which has artichokes, mozzarella, ricotta, chopped garlic, and red sauce dollops. It didn’t look like they put that much cheese on there, but the ricotta made up for it. They also ask if you want anything extra, which was nice. It took about 5 – 7 minutes and it was out. I found it to be really tasty and I had 2⁄6 slices left over for later. I was also really happy that, while filling, it didn’t feel like greasy pizza that leaves you feeling a little gross afterwards.

This is the best pizza in town! If you build your own $ 7.95, or you can us there suggestions with many to chose from. I’m build my own with how I’m feeling that day. Usually the spicy sauce is for me. Options you can getting just what you want on it. With 3 different sauce choices, all the different cheeses you could want, if you are a meat eater plenty of healthy choices, or veggie is the direction that pleases you they have enough choices to not let you down. Then the fire pit over cooks you personal pizza to perfection. With the adequate amount of soft drinks, lemonade and tea to wash it down. If your personal pizzas is a bit much to eat there are plenty of to go boxes for you to get without bothering have to wait to get it. Just grab it and refill your drink to go.

Opened a couple months ago and has become one of our family’s favorite food joints. First of all, the food is fresh, the service is fast and our family of four adults can eat for under $ 40. We can each order our pizza to our own specs and we end up taking ½ home for lunch the next day. I prefer my pizza with spicy red sauce, mozzarella, goat cheese, spinach, artichokes, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, roasted garlic & sautéed onions. LEEB&BENB get the meat lovers &CHRISB orders the barbecue chicken. Make you own drink and wallah! They call your name when your pizza is hot & ready. They have the pizza cooking art down to a science, we haven’t had a bad one yet and have probably been there five or so times.

Blaze is such an amazing deal for a great quality pizza! Like seriously you get a good size personal pizza(at least I made mine ‘personal’) with unlimited topping for about $ 8! Unbeatable! The crust is super thin and crunchy and the ingredients are again great quality for the price! And it’s been said before, but if you know what’s good for you get the Blood Orange Lemonade. Just do it!

I can’t believe I have been here three or four times already and I haven’t left a review! I love this place and each time, the food and service has been consistently good. I love their array of toppings and sauce/dough/cheese choices. They even have gluten free crust! For sauce, you can get spicy red sauce, classic, or white sauce. My only two complaints are that they do not have my favorite topping– sun dried tomatoes, and when I asked for chicken on my pizza, the girl helping me seemed to be irritated and only put two or three small pieces on it. But I asked the next girl in line to help me if she could add more chicken and she totally loaded it up! This time, I decided to switch it up a little bit. I got their late on Saturday night and the line was super short(usually it is almost out the door). A nice older gentleman took my name and asked if it was for here or to go and down the line my pizza went. I got classic red sauce, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese, chicken, pesto, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, basil, and spinach. It turned out to be awesome! I also got a s’mores pie. Totally worth it. They are delicious. I can’t visit Blaze and NOT get one. Overall, I love this place. Fast, friendly, and efficient. If you’re looking for a place to customize your very own pizza just how you want it, this is the place for you :) P. S. They also have salads and alcohol! LOL

Whoever figured out how to bake a pizza in 180 seconds deserves all the awards. All of them. Coming into Blaze, I was a little skeptical of what the quality would be like. A pizza for only about eight bucks and ready in less than five minutes? No way that could be a good thing. I was wrong. I loved this. The crust is ready to go for toppings and once you order, just like subway or chipotle, you watch the employees put your food together right there. I went back and forth between ordering one of their creations or making my own. I went with the Green Stripe. It’s hard for me to pass on pesto! Two of my favorite parts of my pizza: the crispy crust and the fact that none of my toppings fell off as I was eating. That second part might seem a bit silly, but there are so many pizzas out there that with one bite the cheese strings out and pulls off everything on top. There was enough cheese and it didn’t string out and pull anything with it. Unfortunately this place is a little out of the way for me, but I’ll be back when I’m near St. Matthews again for sure. I’d love to try the blood orange lemonade because it sounds like that’s a big hit!

I was pleasantly surprised by Blaze’s. You can choose between their 7 signature pizzas for about $ 8, build your own, or cheaper 1 topping and plain. I got the red vine. It has the chunk kind of mozzarella, basil, cherry tomatoes, and the classic red sauce. I asked for extra shredded mozzarella cheese. The staff is friendly and helped us walk through the process. They aren’t kidding, it is really fast! Overall the pizza was really good. I generally like a thicker crust, but their thin crust made it feel light, and was really easy to eat. I kept wanting one more slice. I will definitely return.

We’ve eaten here so many times — this review is long overdue… It’s my husband’s favorite pizza place EVER. $ 7.65 build your own thin crust pizza with unlimited fresh, tasty toppings — enough said! Awesome, amazing customer service — it’s always a pleasure to dine-in here. Love their grilled s’mores — yummy deliciousness. I’m also a fan of their blood orange lemonade — try it! Note for parents of babies and toddlers: There’s a changing table in the bathroom.

Their pizza is the perfect thin crust. Not so thin that’s it’s a cracker, but just soft enough to fold a slice if you want. The choice of toppings is vast and you could easily go vegetarian if you wanted without skimpy options. Service is friendly and fast, and you get a lot for a little. It’s in my lunch place rotation now.
