Went this past Saturday and I cannot say enough good things about this business. We had a great lunch, the Sunny South Salad with fried oysters was super awesome. After lunch we all got a few slices of pie to share around the table. We tried the Coconut Cream pie! Yum! We also tried the Apple Cider Pie and again delicious. The staff were super friendly and helpful with the menu. I love this place!

Tried a great new place in Louisa today! Floozies Pie Shop was serving both breakfast and lunch around 1:30PM. Dining with my husband(a great cook), my daughter(12) and my son(9), we were all able to find something we truly enjoyed on the menu. The food was made fresh on premises and with top quality ingredients based on the taste. My daughter was not about to share her homemade biscuit and my burger also had a homemade roll. Portions were generous, but not too much. The service was friendly & timely and we will definitely be going back again!

The hubs and I stopped by Floozies Pie Shop to check out their freshly-made pies. Besides sweet and savory pies, they also have breakfast and lunch items that are available, and plenty of seats in the restaurant as well as as some patio tables out in the front to dine-in. I was a little sad that they didn’t have any savory pies(besides quiche), and many other items as well(such as the drinks/beverages that were featured as specials), but we still wanted to try the pies out. The hubs had a Sour Cherry pie, and I had the Cherry Coconut Almond Crumb pie and a quiche Lorraine. We were not really fans of the crust, as it was not really a good complement to the fillings — it was dry and had no flavor. The fillings, however, was pretty good — the sour cherries were definitely tangy; the Coconut Almond Crumb tasted like a little crumb tart, with tons of almond slivers on top; the quiche was a little disappointed, as it was more on the watery side. Cody, one of the employees, was sooo unbelievably sweet and personable — so cool! I’m glad I got to try out Floozies, but not sure if I’d go back! +crust = bland and dry +savory pies’ availability is very rare T_____T +ask for Cody: D +attached to Obrigado

Breakfast was good – nothing out of this world, but still tasty. I particularly enjoyed their jam and biscuits. Best coffee in the county, hands down. I wish they were open every morning so I could have some! Next time I’ll have to try the pie. Rumor has it, that’s what to get.

We were staying at Lake Anna State Park and as usual we checked Unilocal for good local establishments! After reading Melanie K’s review we decided Floozies was the place to go. Besides you have to eat anywhere named«Floozies». Staff was friendly, attentive and fun to talk to. We had the caramel apple and French Apple and very fresh coffee. OHMY! Crust was yummy and sooooo many apples! Best pie ever! We decided to take two more pieces to go. Hubby got XXX chocolate and I went for Caramel apple. Hubby’s comment, «oh my, I’ve died and gone to heaven!» Pretty much sums up the triple X chocolate. Our only complaint is it’s too far for a weekly drive. On second thought maybe it isn’t …check it out!

Where to begin in the saga that was attempting to get a Floozie’s pie… We came here twice in an attempt to get pie. The first time was on a Tuesday because both Unilocal and Facebook state that they’re open. WRONG. Tuesday was a complete bust. I was pretty salty that we drove all the way out there(ahem, 20 whole minutes) and came home pie-less. We went back today(shut up, I wanted pie). It was pouring rain. A real deluge. I sprinted across the street straight through the newly poured and yes, WET, concrete. The poor construction guys were not just cheering me across the street – it was more like: STOPRUNNINGYOUCRAZYHO. But I didn’t. So, toes covered in concrete I peeked in the door and it’s dark. Closed. Ka-put. And I felt like crying. I decided to walk into Obrigado next door to see if they were closed down. The girl working the bar was so friendly and told me to walk around the back of the bar into Floozies(they’re attached!!) and actually sold me a pie(well, two halves). The inside of the pie shop is so cool. It’s retro and spacious and I wish we could have eaten inside. Maybe on our next trip! We got ½ of a sour cherry and ½ of a caramel apple. The sour cherry is amazing. Tart and juicy and the crust. THECRUST. OMG. Flaky and sweet and I’m making a dress out of it. Like, now. The caramel apple is really good too, but very sweet. I liked the sour cherry and found the tartness balanced out the sweetness nicely. All in all, it was worth two trips, a run through the rain and concrete covered sandals.

I want to give this place a solid 5 stars for its service, enthusiasm, charm, selection of amazing pies(we got the chocolate bourbon nut) as well as the atmosphere, friendly staff who seem to really LOVE where they work and love the people they work for. It was our first time in there and the lady working the counter was so friendly, helpful and really made us feel welcomed. The pie we ordered was really good and rich. I am looking forward to trying the caramel apple! They also serve breakfast every day until 11 am, and all day on Saturdays. They have café items for lunch such as sandwiches, soups, salads, pot pie, burgers, grilled cheese and ice cream! Check this place out. Feels like going back home.
