Last year Valentine’s dinner was amazing. This year the venue was beautiful and the people fun. Disappointments were the sound system, food(except the chocolate desert) and the dark colored wine glasses(didn’t know what I was drinking). For next year before I decide to attend or not, they have to buy a better sound system and a better caterer. Love Firestone Vineyard and their wines. Hope they can improve in time for next year.

Valentine’s dinner was a total disappointment. Setting and people were great fun. Sound system terrible, rolls frozen, wine glasses black couldn’t tell what we drinking, courses small and tasteless, meat either cold or tough, pyramid desert good, fruit desert never tasted it or got the chance. Venue was amazing but dinner, they should refund everyone and apologize.

I am a member of Foley A sister wine company to Firestone. The wines are great but the service is spectacular. Every visit I am wowed by the level of service provided. Attentive, friendly and knowledgable. The winery is beautiful too. We will be back.

Great wine and friendly staff! We loved meeting Angela who helped us with the tasting. She was very knowledgeable and gave us a great background on the winery.

This vineyard is pretty however the wine is lacking to say the least… and honestly I’m not one that is picky but don’t waste your time

Tasting price was $ 15 for reds and $ 10 for whites. Firestone gets a ton of tours, so expect the tasting room to be packed. It was full when we got there. They were closing early for an event and there were staff members setting up tables in the back and a private tasting event starting to the rear of the main room. It was chaotic in what I expected to be a calm setting. One lady started our tasting off, poured and walked away. The wines were very average and although the next guy we were passed on to was super relaxed and personable, everything felt very rushed. They still had over an hour until closing(even though they were closing early due to an event). I just left feeling like, hmmmm that wasn’t great. I took the tour a few years ago and I would recommend that since it was informative, a lot more peaceful and you see more of the vineyard.

I liked Firestone Vineyard way more than anticipated. We’re Bachelor fans so of course we had to stop. Although we found out Andrew’s family sold the winery a year after he made it more famous. It’s a large operation and we were right in time for a tour. Since we needed to slow our wine intake a bit, we opted in. Very informative and a beautiful property. I was definitely more impressed with their white wines than their reds during our tasting and we purchased a bottle of their Sauvignon Blanc after our tasting that we really enjoyed.

This is based purely on the experience as a bride! We were married at Firestone this last weekend, and I cannot rave enough about the venue! It is gorgeous in the fall(and really all year round), and every space is just beautiful! The contract and terms are all very straightforward, and the staff are all great to communicate with! The pricing is very competitive, with some tables/chairs included, and I also loved that we had full use of the venue(no other weddings and not«a la carte»). They also have a good space for the bridal suite, and the room for the boys, while small, photographs well. As a site, Firestone is very flexible, so you have a lot of freedom in your planning! A few things you should keep in mind: 1) you are required to have a day-of coordinator(you’ll be very happy about this the day of the wedding when you don’t have to lift a finger!) 2) guests can’t walk from the parking lot across the narrow drive to the Mesa for the ceremony, so you will need a shuttle(safety hazard, but we ended up getting a school bus to shuttle people to/from the venue, which was a total hit!) 3) you will have to use a preferred caterer, BUT they have like 20 to choose from! If you’re not a Foley Wine Society member, I recommend joining to get a discount on your wine ;) We really can’t say enough about Firestone and how happy we are! Thank you to the staff, and please do go for a site visit of its on your list!!!

Gorgeous vineyard and beautiful tasting room. My husband and I liked ALL of the wines that we tried in the tasting room. Bought a bottle of their delicious rose although I totally would have bought more but I had been buying wine all weekend so I was at my max. I would recommend!

Today a group of us went to this winery. We had six people. The tasting room was beautiful. The wonderful lady who was serving us was her first day on job. You would have never of guessed. She was very knowledgeable about the winery and about wine in general. Vanessa was not bugged at all about the large group. I highly recommend this place!

First off — magnificent grounds, perfect place for a wedding. As a matter of fact, there was a group there planning their wedding with a coordinator when we went. The tasting room is probably one of the largest in the area. Perfect if you are going with large group. Friendly staff. Attentive. Wines were good, though nothing to write home about. Granted, I had the«regular» tasting rather than the«reserve» tasting. I chose the regular tasting since the prices of the wines were more in my budget. Nevertheless, I walked out of there with a few bottles since the prices were so reasonable. Afterwards we took awesome photographs with their seemingly endless lush vineyard as our backdrop. A wonderful conclusion to our trip.

After a failed attempt at spending a morning wandering through shops and whatnot in the town of Santa Ynez, we wanted some wine. Yes, there are wineries far closer to the town than this one, however, it was early and nothing was open — thanks to Unilocal we discovered that Firestone opened approximately 30 minutes before anyone else. Thank goodness! Off we went. The wine was better than expected, admittedly because I’m not a fan of most of their offerings in the grocery store. There was one specialty cab that had a high price point, and well, it was 100% worth that price. It may have been the best of that varietal I’ve ever had. And that’s saying a lot because I drink more wine than Jesus’ friends. It’s kind of out there in the middle of no where, but if you’re looking to have an early start to your wine drinking day, or just want to say you were at the vineyard once owned by the guy from the Bachelor, it’s not a bad trip.

We took a tour at Firestone Vineyard this morning before leaving our trip to Solvang. Debbie gave us the tour. She was knowledgeable and answered my 9 year old daughter’s questions about winemaking :) They allow kids on the tour. We did a 10.00 tasting of 6 wines and ended up purchasing the reisling and the 2012 cabernet sov. Both were at reasonable prices. The grounds are beautiful and it would be nice to take a picnic there.

Oh, Firestone what have you done! You’ve gone and sold yourself to Terlato Vineyards… the same vineyards that shut down my Alderbrook winery! Oh, what have you done! Not only do you no longer make your fabulous dessert wines, but you even sold off your wonderful Curtis winery. Luck for me I still have a few bottles but what a sad thing to find out first hand. How I miss too the friendly, family feel I use to get when walking in here. It’s gone… the love is gone. The people who work their now are fine enough but it’s no different than any other run-of-the-mill winery. My heart is broken. I bought a case of your Riesling as a sad attempt to come close to your dessert wine. This just breaks the heart! Can’t say I’ll be back any time soon.

Nice spot for okay wines. Played some bean bag toss on the lawn. Super nice staff and equally nice grounds. I found a dead snake hanging from a tree on my way to my car as well. So there’s that too.

Did a wine tasting and had lunch in one of the private rooms. Becky was pouring our wines, she was very personable, humorous, and knowledgeable! There wasn’t one wine that stood out, they were all pretty good! The property is gorgeous, great for roaming around and taking pics! Bathrooms were immaculate.

Meh, not the best winery I have been to. The wine tasting is $ 10 for the regulars for 5 tastings of $ 15 of their reserve list(5 tastings). The views were nice but you couldn’t really access them from outside and really only saw them from inside the tasting room. The wine guy who was helping us was kind of arrogant and not friendly. Definitely did not get good vibes from him. I would not be back.

I decided to go to Firestone winery for three reasons. First — free tours, second — free tasting as a Foley club member, Third — hoping to run into Andrew Firestone from The Bachelor. Well I’m happy to say I got to do three out of three!(The photo of Andrew counts, right?) The tour was pretty interesting. I got to touch an actually cork tree, which is the only thing you get to touch. Our guide kept saying over and over how you can’t touch anything. We saw some grapes and learned about the growing process, then went into the barrel room and learned about the fermentation process. We then ended the tour in the tasting room. The wines were okay. I am use to big, bold Napa wines, so the only one that really appealed to me was the Ambassdor Meritage. It was a good thing I got the member price because I definitely would not have paid $ 60 for it.
