The atmosphere in this place is great! It was really a fun place to visit, grab a tasting and a snack. Their popcorn is amazing compliment to their wonderful wine! I definitely recommend you visit!

This is a cute wine shop located off the main street in Los Olivos. I like that they are trying to do things a little differently than the other wine shops around. They offered popcorn to taste and had cider available for tastings as well. A nice change up. We sampled a variety of wines, but the one that stuck out the most with me was their bubbly. They actually drizzled a little balsamic vinegar in with the wine and the combination was amazingly tasty. Over all, friendly service and tasty wine, worth stopping by for a tasting if you are in the area.

My fiancé and I came here right after got engaged and LOVED it. This time around we decided to become members. You get to choose how many wines and which ones go into your shipment. It’s off the beaten bath, which makes it a little more quiet and a gem. Everything is unique about this place. The décor is fun and indie, the wines are unlike any I’ve had elsewhere, they give you freshly popped popcorn that’s been seasoned, and the have a Chardonnay and a few ciders ONTAP. Walking out with a growler of cider and a box full of wine was the best. Oh, and the staff is the absolute friendliest and entertaining. If you’re feeling unwelcome or slightly out of your element elsewhere in Los Olivos, come here!

This is not your normal wine tasting spot. The staff was friendly but didn’t allow for much personal conversation. The wines are very much on the sparking wine spectrum. So if you want robust red wines, this isn’t for you. Good wine, wax sealed, and hand made items. Good location.

Never before have I purchased every wine in a tasting, but EVERYTHING that I tasted at Dreamcote was lovely! That’s saying something when it is the first tasting of the day… Also, the tasting room is different(gourmet popcorn and Connect 4), folks behind the counter are fun, and the sundries and other goods are cool too. I joined the wine club(which is a YOUPICKTHEWINES option!!!) and can hardly wait to go back and pick up my first shipment. Highly recommend!

Wine tasting in Los Olivos can be a bit repetitive — you’re visiting tasting rooms, and not wineries(which I was not used to), so there’s less to explore. So after visiting some spots, I turned to Unilocal to help direct me to something good, and I’m glad it introduced me to Dreamcôte. Dreamcôte is a bit off the beaten path in terms of the main street as well as its offerings. You’ll be tasting atypical wines(and cider) that offer something a bit different. Tasting options include lighter-bodied bold reds, a hard cider, and even a sparkling chardonnay. Complimentary popcorn is offered(or other bites, as we were informed that the next day would offer banh mi sliders) along with the tasting. The tasting is also one of the cheaper options in the area at $ 9, whereas the other places we tried varied between $ 12-$ 15 per tasting(pricier than I’m used to). Brit was helping us out, and she was both passionate and entertaining — she definitely helped make the tasting experience for us. But if you need extra entertainment, there are games along the bar that you can play with(our seats had a connect four and mini air hockey game nearby). Extra bonus — there was a bathroom! An apparent rarity in this area. If you’re visiting a few tasting rooms in the area, I highly recommend including Dreamcôte in your agenda.

Great experience. The tap chardonnay was just perfect timing for the bachelor show finale making this one very happy customer. Knowledgeable staff, interesting process with their varietals. Definitely worth a stop.

This is definitely one of my favorite tasting rooms. Everyone who works there is happy and excited, and they make the tasting so much fun. The daily popcorn flavor is unique(free snacks are the best snacks) and they’re always delicious(my favorite was the turmeric and parmesan). The wines are all really good, and apparently the cider is amazing(but they are always sold out when I go!). I also love how the wine labels are basically a tiny coloring book page – very fun and crafty.

Stumbled upon this place during a day visit to Los Olivos. The town is full of wineries making it very challenging when trying to find a place to wine taste. A lot of the tasting establishments are offering games such as Jenga or corn hole tossing, fire pits, and inviting chairs. I wanted to try Dreamcote because of the excellent reviews and my love for popcorn. It wasn’t very busy when we got there and we were able to be helped right away. I really loved the Rose and the cider was amazing. They had run out of the cider available for purchase though, but promised to have more in a few weeks. The popcorn flavor changes by day. The wine tasting is $ 9/person and bottles start at $ 20. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Brit was not there this time, but Alan was a lot of fun to hang with. Love their wines… and now their cider… Mmmmmm. Everything is easy drinking and accessible and not fussy… just good, solidly made wine. This now seems to be a regular stop!

There are several types of wineries: Some offer a quaint, rustic style of design. Some offer a comfortable, contemporary vibe. Some offer the ultimate luxury experience, full of granite, marble and polished woods. But Dreamcote’s tasting room is something a bit different – funky, homespun and definitely iconoclastic. They offer very interesting wines, intriguing food samples and even hard cider available to go in a growler. And the service was fun and friendly, without a trace of the snootiness that so many wineries dish out with haughty abandon. Screw those guys – this a great little local find.

OMG most fun we’ve had tasting wine! Brit and Dani were great. They were serving sausage and sampling mustards, which was awesome. No popcorn this Sunday. Brit was also serving hard cider. We brought home a growler. The wines were good, fruit forward which is Brit’s intent and she’s successful at it. I’ve never seen so many wine tasting rooms I’m such a small footprint ever. Dreamcôte stands out in my book, because of Brit’s exuberance. I enjoyed the wine(and cider! Yum!), but the atmosphere was what stood out and created an utterly unique experience. Awesome! This will be a «must stop» on every trip to the area. Considering it’s a favorite weekend getaway, we’ll be back soon. There are wine tastings and wine experiences. We enjoy the latter. Dreamcôte is an experience and one we look forward to repeating.

Best Wine Bar ever — board games… free treats/goodies… the friendliest staff in the world… amazing décor and atmosphere… and most improtantly FANTASTIC wine… pardon my french. We bought our favorites… the Outlandish(out of this world full flavored) Syrah and the Fermented Apple Cider(lightly crisp/refreshing) & Growler. The entire flight is amazing but those are my top 2 picks. Be back soon. Worth every dime.

Scrolling through the reviews here, I was a bit taken aback. Maybe my palate is just off? Maybe it’s just my taste? Then, I came to Misty S. who stated that she felt that the wine was thin. I would definitely agree with this statement. I felt that, in general, the wines were not as strong as I would have preferred. Again, this is just a personal preference, but that’s what review sites are in the end. I hate giving bad reviews of wineries, especially ones that are obviously trying to do something different, but I just wasn’t impressed with the wines here. However, I appreciate when people try to do different things, and definitely the majority of reviews here are extremely positive. Again, if you make a wine, someone will enjoy it for sure! Dreamcôte was just not for me.

Five stars all around. Alan(sp?) was amazing and incredibly knowledgeable about the process & varietals. He really treated us right in addition to the stellar value you receive for the price! Fantastic wines & a great experience. Don’t miss this spot

This was a great experience. We were the only ones in this in-town tasting room on an early Thursday afternoon and not only tasted some good wines but got great tourism advice from Alan. We got some local insider scoop on sights and other wineries we did not know about. We had a lot of fun with the very personably pourer. He is a good ambassador for this winery. And the popcorn was good too!

Super bright and airy. Love the popcorn. Wines are pretty tasty. Always go to this tasting room a pick up a few bottles. The people that work there and do the pours are always really friendly and helpful. Never had a bad experience there. Recommend.

We come to Los Olivos every so often — I love it, it’s easy to walk around, check out the tasting rooms, and I love the Wine Merchant Café. Anyway, back to my point. We always go to the same places and felt like trying something new, and thanks to Unilocal,we found Dreamcote Wine Co. It’s not on the main street or even behind the main street. It’s 2(mini) blocks behind it and I’ll admit we’ve never ventured back here. Dreamcote ended up being a very pleasant surprise. We stood at the counter for a bit before being helped. I was beginning to get a little annoyed even though I am aware there’s only one person working. There were about 4 pairs of customers including us. Anyway, Brit did show up and apologized for the wait, which was nice. She handed us the popcorn which we tried. And seriously, I think we finished the popcorn by the first tasting. It really is that good. Anyway, I’ll really get to the point now. Brit(the owner) is nice and friendly. The wine was actually quite good. I usually rate tasting rooms based on service and not the wines themselves. Some wines are my style and some are not, I don’t really rate against if their wine happens to not be to my liking. That’s why it’s called wine tasting, there’s a variety and it’s the experience. Anyway, I really liked two of the wines I tried at Dreamcote. One was actually not even on the list, she just gave us a bonus pour that I really liked and it was quite inexpensive at $ 16. I got 3 bottles of that and 2 of another one. Thinking back, I wish I got a case. I considered calling and ordering but haven’t. Anyway, it was a really pleasant visit and we may make this a regular stop on our Los Olivos visits.

So much fun! Admittedly, this was near the end of our adventure in Los Olivos, so I was more than a little bit tipsy, but I don’t think it was just the booze telling me that this is a place to watch closely. I’ve been to tasting rooms where I enjoyed everything, and I’ve been to tasting rooms where I’ve loved one or two, but this is the first tasting room where I’ve loved *everything*. They’re big into more experimental stuff, which is great, cause so am I. Less common varietals, doing crazy things like carbonic maceration of grapes you don’t usually see that done on, etc. They’re even making a cider now, too(sadly wasn’t ready to try yet). We showed up with a livingsocial voucher good for tasting and one bottle… we left with two bottles(their dessert wine and the slightly sweet malvasia), and I would’ve loved to buy more. I was even strongly tempted to join the wine club(I’m *never* tempted to join wine clubs), but thankfully, my designated-driver companion dissuaded me(I really do want to, we just already have more wine than we know what to do with. But it is still tempting.) Definitely coming back. Popcorn was fun too.

We hit up Dreamcoate every visit to Los Olivos. The wine tasting room is likely the most unpretentious room in the valley, and the servers are friendly and playful, and there’s free bags of gourmet popcorn, and Connect Four, yummy cider, but the reason it gets five stars is because I feel guilty for giving Brit the incorrect spelling of «turmeric» and messing up her sign. Misspellings are embarrassing. I will never make that misteak again.
