***CLOSED*** We started our tour of wines here. As we entered, we were informed that they would be closing their doors permanently as of noon 12.31.11. We were offered a port tasting and some chocolates for free. I’m glad that we got there in time to view the ice skating outfit she wore when she won Olympic Gold in 1968.

We were in downtown Los Gatos enjoying the nice weather and decided to pop into this winery as it was one of the few open before Christmas. The lady behind the counter set down the wine tasting list in front of us and every single bottle had sold out next to it. She then proceeded to tell us the only option for tasting they had was a huge bottle of something strange and port which they were charging $ 10 per person. The lady behind the counter offered no apology or explanation other than unfriendly service and we left promptly. I won’t be returning.

Great staff, lovely owners and really delicious wines for a small winery! I’m a huge fan of the Choreography(especially the ’06) and both Syrahs. Surprisingly, the Victories Rose is also delicious — dry, not sweet. Kudos to the winemaker, Greg!

Nice winery/tasting room in a great location in the heart of downtown Los Gatos shopping mecca.

This place is a winery, but on the main street. I am so not liking it. First time I came here, I thought I was lost being in downtown. But sure enough it was, a winery as small as a corner store. Couldn’t really get the feel for it.

Yummy! I love their wines! We instantly became members on our first visit. They know what they’re doing and genuinely know how to craft good wines. The rose is one of the best I’ve come across — no bitter funky aftertaste that happens with most other roses. Service is friendly. The pickup parties are a lot of fun — hors d’ouevres pairings with the latest wines. Yum! And whenever Greg stops by, you can expect to have a great conversation with him about wines, winemaking, Los Gatos, etc. Great experience!

I came here during Santa Cruz Wine Passport Day last weekend. They had 3 tastings: Chardonnay, Syrah, and Choreography Cabernet Blend. We started off with their Chardonnay, which was pretty good. Not too oaky or creamy. I never liked Syrah so I didn’t care for that one. Out of the three, my favorite was the Choreography Cabernet Blend. They were also advertising their picnic box lunches that they recently started offering. I thought it was a great idea especially for people going to see an outdoor concert nearby or even going for a simple picnic in the park. $ 30 for two. The ladies explaining to us about it were really friendly and seemed to be excited to be offering these. Most of the staff doing the pourings weren’t too personable so I pretty much did the wine tasting and left.

I have enjoyed visiting Fleming Jenkins tasting room in Los Gatos twice. Each time was so enjoyable I didn’t want to leave. I met Greg Jenkins the first time, he is such a pleasure to talk to. The staff at the tasting room are great multitaskers; no matter how busy they were no one got lost in the shuffle. I have visited a lot of tasting rooms and that is one great accomplishment. I always recommend this stop when on the wine trail!

Love this Tasting Room! The people are always friendly and the wine is great. The best value is the Victories Rose, to which a portion goes to Breast Cancer Research. I often pick up a bottle on my way to Los Gatos’ Music in the Park and/or Jazz on the Plazz. Awesome!

Five stars for the Choreography Cabernet blend(last on the current 5-flight tasting). Four and a half stars each for the two Syrahs on the same tasting menu(#3 and #4). Sorry can’t remember the years and names since I’m not exactly a wine connoisseur. The place is very small with no seating, but they were able to accommodate a large group of us for a tasting nevertheless. They have a fun game to test your sense of smell also, but I haven’t tried it yet.

The wine is just ok. I am more of a Cabernet guy and they didn’t have any in their tasting menu. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

This was our final stop on our Saratoga — Los Gatos wine tasting tour this afternoon. The tasting room is so cute & the service is so friendly. We learned that the wines are made at Testarossa winery just up the hill. Nothing really stood out as amazing but for $ 5 you get to try 4 types of wine(rose, 2 syrahs, and some sort of red blend). It’s very convenient so 4 stars for friendliness & proximity.

Not bad wine. The Victories rose is great for pool side relaxation, especially when you’re sneaking it in a Styrofoam cup. Part of the purchase price goes to cancer research. And I was surprised by how much I liked the 2007 Chardonnay, because I typically hate Chardonnay. Very friendly staff. And there’s the kitsch factor of having Peggy’s Olympic ice skating outfit hanging on the wall.

I love visiting this place both before and after the remodel. The people are so nice and take the time to explain everything. And I love the wine. It’s a fun place to walk into and taste or have a glass.

Come here for the Syrah and the port. That’s about it. Everything else was meh. Definitely a Los Gatos type hangout… posh, nice décor, snobby people with purse dogs everywhere.

First off, Peggy Fleming and her husband Greg Jenkins are the cutest couple! What a dynamic duo, and so down-to-earth! It was so nice to be able to chat it up, take photos and get a few bottles signed by them yesterday afternoon. I love that they are so passionate about their wines and spend quality time with patrons talking about what they love doing. The cute little tasting room is located across the street from one of my favorite bakeries in downtown Los Gatos, Icing on the Cake. I’d never noticed the tasting room until yesterday, and was so glad to stop in with both Peggy and Greg present. There were lots of Peggy’s Olympics paraphernalia adorning the room, which made it like a mini museum. For $ 5, we tasted 4 lovely wines, poured by the manager Gregg, who was extremely friendly and informative. My favorite was the 2005 Napa Valley«Choreography» Cab. I ended up purchasing two of those and a bottle of the 2006 Chardonnay which is from the Jenkins acre vineyard in Los Gatos. I also joined their wine club, which has great benefits. I was able to get the wines at 20% off, and the ones I will be receiving 4 – 6 times a year will be shipped to my house. I also get to enjoy complimentary tasting with 3 guests and invitations to special members-only events hosted by Greg and Peggy. I’m really looking forward to hanging out with them again!

Sleeper hit of our passport wine day last weekend. Highlights: — Atmosphere: cozy, non-pretentious, simple small room. Liked the feel of the place. Maybe visiting wineries is like looking for houses: there are some things you’re looking for, but sometimes you just are sold on the feeling you have there. — Wines: LOVED them all! I’m not the pickiest wine drinker, but I do drink a good amount so I know what I like. We tried 4 different wines and I not only liked but loved all of them. Totally unexpected, as I had never heard of this winery before. And it was only my 2nd tasting, as sometimes I notice come the 4th winery of the day I sometimes think everything is fantastic. ;-) – Exceptional award winning syrahs. Yummy! – Cab that isn’t too harsh and tanniny, but fruity. Also a fun name: choreography. – They have wine from John Madden’s vineyard. I’m a big NFL fan(although Niners), so that’s a cool novel thing. — Wine club: 20% discount on all purchases and they have fun events like parties when you can pick up your wine and other events like potentially dinners on their estate. 4 – 6 shipments a year and you can pick 2, 4, 6, or 12 bottles per shipment. — Peggy: so I didn’t make the association that it was the ice skater Peggy Flemming until we went inside and saw all of these ice skating outfits hung up on the wall. And then one of my friends started talking to a lady and mid-conversation she nonchalantly says«I’m Peggy by the way.» We chit chatted for a while about skating and the winery and Los Gatos. A really nice lady who was just super chill and down to earth: 0 on the this-is-my-winery-and-I’m-a-celebrity vibe scale. — Location: nice that it’s in the downtown area, as it’s more convenient to visit on days that aren’t just full of wine tasting. Lowlights(my flip side to highlights): — To the hub’s dismay signed up for another wine club and bought a few bottles ;-) We had a great time here and I’ll definitely be back!
