I came here randomly from the gym because I was starving and it was close. Can’t comment on anything other than the Chile Verde super burrito, which was amazing. I was really sceptical because the pictures posted on Unilocal were less than appetizing and the place looked like an old cafeteria. But man, was that burrito good. Can’t judge a book by its cover.

The food is always consistently good and I have been coming for years. It must be alright as they have trucks and several restaurants in a few towns with large Hispanic populations. Anyway, you can’t go wrong with the tried and true steak taco. I like the al pastor as well. One of my favorites is the asada super burrito. This is a good restaurant I am happy to frequent.

Ordered a burrito, had a funny smell, beans and rice were very dry, no taste at all, tho the lady in the drive thru was very politely.

My burrito was tasting really good until I bit into something hard. When I spit it out I found that my was a small black rock. Gross. Not really sure why a black stone would be in a burrito???

Service not necessarily the food !!! Not this time anyway !!! The one by home depo I’m talking about… The food is ok but I’m so sick of spending 50 dollars and they won’t give you any salsa … We order everything with no salsa and get green on the side… for all that for they will barely give up two salsas!!! Wtf is that … I’m so dam tired of that I’ll get green on all of it then they will have to use the stuff!!! It’s crazy must be made of gold!!! She kept saying its on the bang and I said I need more than two we had 50 dollars worth of food … Wtf is two going to cover a burrito !!! Very pissed customer maybe will just go somewhere else… I don’t think asking for one salsa per order is asking too much !!! But apparently it is to them!!! Get over it and give out appropriate amount of salsa !!! May go back may not !!!

Great flavors All tacos(small) are $ 1.50 each. Ordered one of each: Tripas(crispy) Buche and Al Pastor all very good. Clean inside with friendly staff. Drive through This will be our new GOTO stop in Los Banos.

I enjoyed the basic carne asada plate. They service was good and the food was exactly how I ordered it. This was not my first visit here and I have liked the food both times. I do like the fact that you can get boiled pinto beans, not just refried.

Very poor service I order a burrito al pastor and the flour tortilla was hard they didn’t gave me any sauce. The soda fountain sucks just about all the sodas taste flat. You can get better service and better food at just about any taco truck

The food is is pretty standard… nothing exceptional. It is way overpriced for what it is. A super burrito that is $ 7.00 and is the size of a regular one. They put this red salsa on damn near everything. The tacos are extra greasy. Nonetheless, the food is edible… I’d have to say the Torta is best pick on the menu when considering taste and price.

The service is not that great unless you speak Spanish. The food is good but it’s nothing special. I’ve given this place a try many times and gotten different things but I always leave wishing I had gotten something different or went somewhere else. The chips taste like cardboard and are never warm while the salsas are terrible. If they had at least really good chips and a legit salsa bar it would be 3 stars. I’ll choose Santa Fe Market over this place any day.

This place is kind of the McDonald’s of Mexican Food. The people there were kind and inviting. However, the pork(carnitas, al pastor, and chile verde) was sour from the marinades.

We discovered this gem by accident when traveling between the Central Valley and Central Coast. I’m originally from Fresno but now live in Portland, OR where there is little to no good Mexican food, so I was craving it! The food was authentic, incredibly delicious, flavorful, fast and really inexpensive! We stopped there again two days later on our way back and were delighted to see they were open at 8:30am! Highlights: the Chorizo and Eggs burrito, the fish tacos, and the absolutely awesome Menudo! We also loved the Jamaica and Horchata. In the future, I’ll definitely go out of my way to stop here when traveling through! Gracias, El Grullense!

A fine place to stop on your way through Los Banos — solid mexican food and salsa, but not fantastic. Nachos were an interesting mix of taqueria style with nacho cheese, but the gf dug them; the quesadilla was massive and quite delicious, packing some nice heat.

Other than the wide variety of meat options to choose from, I see nothing that would make this place worth going to. The liquid queso they put on their nachos was gross. The tortillas in the tacos are pretty greasy.

It was great for a fast food place that serves authentic mexican food. Cheap and delicious. A lot of choices. So much better than Taco Bell or some other chain. The burrito and tacos were awesome. And the place was very clean. Definitely recommend.

I’ve been here twice since my first review, and the food remains as soul-pleasingly good as the first time. We’re traveling south in a couple of weeks, and we will plan a detour to eat here.

most years, i spend 20 or more days snowboarding the slopes during the snow season. a little over a month ago, my son was born at the end of december, which threw my snowboarding season into a double cork. anyway, even though i originally started Unilocaling with the mission of delivering(for once) quality reviews of santa clara koreatown’s many great businesses, i later realised that i ought to help out other snowboarders by posting up reviews of places to eat along the commute to and from the slopes. well, what does los banos have to do with snowboarding?! well, i managed to score some free tickets to sierra summit from the ubercool snowbomb dot com festival this past year, so my friends and i hit up sierra summit for the first time last weekend. it reminded me a lot of snowboarding down in socal at either of the big bear resorts… not nearly as luxurious as most resorts in tahoe… it’s funny because i know beginners that will turn up their noses at boreal and insist on going to squaw or heavenly; but me? i’ve been snowboarding for some 18 years, and i’m willing to take whatever i can get and don’t mind hitting up all these dinky resorts nowadays: bear valley, dodge ridge… now snow summit? shoot, next thing you know, i’ll be sessioning donner ski ranch, eh? ha ha… nah, if i’m all the way up the 80 like that, i’d at least go to sugar bowl instead, right? well, i had a nice day riding powder and parks despite the decently steady snowfall. my friend called last run; and i was fine with that. toward the end of my run in the tollhouse terrain park, i was 50.50ing an «a» box and started drifting toward my backside on the left of the box. that happened earlier, and i got ready simply to jump off. i thought that went fine, but i banged my right(rear) shin on the edge of the box on my way down. i didn’t think much of it and proceeded to pop a little backside 360 on the last jump. then we boarded down to the car. when i removed my boot, i discovered i had ripped a _huge_chunk of skin on my shin by the knee. i could kind of see muscle! ewww! it didn’t hurt at all, so i was _so_shocked. i went to first. aid, n’ they told me to hit up the fresno kaiser asap. well, after getting stitched up, i was pretty hungry. as my friend drove through los banos back to the bay, i spotted a familiar sign. i had once nejoyed delicious sopes at a taqueria el grullense in downtown san jo. was this the same company? i was willing to give it a shot. as soon as we entered this nice, clean, new joint(it kind of looked like it had been converted from some other kind of business like a popeye’s chicken or something), i immediately ordered four tacos(for $ 1.30 each): tripitas, buche, lengua, and cabeza. my friends ordered other stuff like quesadillas and burritos. man, the tacos were delicious! the tripitas were kind of like friend and a bit crispy. all the meat tasted so freshly cooked. in fact, i guess the food _did_take just a bit longer to come out, so i _knew_it was all freshly cooked. what a great meal, especially for the price!
