Great sizes of the meals, middle kind prices(especially for Hollywood) and a GREATGREATORANGECHICKEN(so-called Tangerine Chicken in this place). Nice and polite man behind the counter and pretty big variety of meals and drinks.

The Food was great. I had the double Kung pow which was great, the salmon fried rice, great. We had the Unagi 2 piece very good and the late night party roll which I needed a fork for but was very tasty. The meal was Fantastic. My 3 star rating has to do with the way the Front house manager Marilyn made us feel when we arrived to ask for a table. She let us know it would be a one hour wait. We asked if we could be called or notified(like many restaurants do via a messaging service or third party application) and she replied that no she could not«she’s was way to busy for that». It really gave us the feeling she was attempting to discourage our even coming back for a table. So we came back in exactly 30 minutes and the place had died down a lot more than what it was. We were seated in the absolute least favorable seat in front of the kitchen door, and next to an identical table for 2 farther away from the kitchen being saved for some one else other than us.

Friendly guy took my order. Lovely lady delivered it. Delicious! Mongolian beef and crab rangoon— both wonderful! They even remembered a side of hot mustard as requested. Happy!

I would NOT say this place is poor. Rather, more misrepresented. Chinese chicken salad not what you’d expected. More a fancy-fied version… I don’t know what the dressing was, but it wasn’t the normal dressing. They’re friendly and all. Reasonably priced. The taste is fine. I’d just say it’s ok and convenient for the area. Oh and there’s a parking lot!

I use Seamless because the delivery people always bring the food to my door(7th floor of a building) while other delivery people are too lazy to come inside and call to make me come down to the front door to get the food. Today I ordered from Volcano Wok and after an hour(I might point out they are located three blocks from me) they called me to tell me they couldn’t find parking and to come down and«stand in the street», by which I assumed he meant on the sidewalk and not in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard. I was miffed but went down anyways. There was no one there. I waited 5 minutes and called them back. «Oh, she’s just leaving. Please wait. Two minute.» Huh? «You mean you told me you couldn’t find parking before the delivery person even left the restaurant?» «Blah blah hard to park.» I told him all the other Seamless delivery people seemed to figure it out, and if they were not going to deliver as promised I thought they should refund the delivery fee. He blew up and started yelling. Anyway, after this lovely experience I continued to stand on the sidewalk outside my building for 15 minutes until the driver came up, parked right in front of the building and then called me to come down. «I’m standing right here,» I said, looking at her. «Come down, come down!» she kept saying into the phone. Ugh. These people are lazy and rude.

We order from Volcano Wok probably 2 or 3 times a week. They are so friendly and always deliver with a smile. They have the best Chinese Chicken salad… it is great. The sushi is fresh and the Chinese food is excellent.

My boyfriend and i had a car service appointment in the area so while we waited we came to volcano wok with zero expectations and pleasantly surprised. We shared the spam musubi and the chicken katsu platter. The portions are pretty generous– we were full by the end of our meal and still had leftovers! Everything was pretty tasty, the musubi particularly yummy. The katsu was a bit overcooked so the breading was too crunchy and the macaroni salad was a little too sweet for my taste. Overall though, the food was flavorful and good. Service was straightforward. Staff were kind and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food. Prices were also extremely reasonable for the amount of food you get!

Business owner doesn’t care about customers or anyone else. Said he likes Asian people and trusts Asian people instead of others and there are flies flying around near his food. Don’t come here unless you want food poisoning, dirty food, no AC in the summer, and a racist owner

I love this place. The owners are so sweet and their spam musubi’s are addictive. I’ve personally always liked their food and frequent this place. Also when my dog got sick, they were kind enough to especially make him some white rice and boiled chicken for his upset tummy.

His soups are the best, and prices are very reasonable; Great quality for good price! I always have him prepare me a health food; my usual is plain chicken breast with imitation crab, fresh(raw) celery, bell pepper, broccoli, and a plate of red chilli peppers; it is delicious!

Ordered chicken fried rice, chicken egg rolls, steamed chicken dumplings, and tangerine chicken. Order total came to $ 32.67 after tax, delivery fee, and tip. Order placed at 9:02pm on a Sunday night, with an estimated delivery time of 9:55pm-10:00pm. Delivery arrived at 9:35pm, 20 minutes ahead of estimate. Food was hot and amazing! Worth every penny, this place hits the spot. This is my go to from now on.

I don’t understand why this place only has 2.5 stars. Every time Ive ordered food from them I’ve never been disappointed. Usually when I order delivery the lady who takes my order is great. Very well spoken and clear. The teriyaki plates are amazing and very well portioned. I love the macaroni side that comes with the Hawaii bbq plates. So good! I highly recommend this place

Very good take out food for the price. Fish very tender and flavorful. Owner(man) VERY gracious and generous with food. Busy with ‘regulars’ from neighborhood at lunch time. Good boba drinks, too. In a shopping center that is quite busy if you’re driving, but parking is free. I would return.

SOO bad. no flavor. If you want fried rice that’s really just rice mixed with undercooked vegetables, and shrimp tasting of ocean, then sure, go here.

I think that Volcano Wok is pretty awesome because they deliver! I was in the mood for Hawaiian and I didn’t want to deal with the parking situation at my favorite Hawaiian fast food spot Onos, so I found Volcano Wok, the only place that delivers Hawaiian food in the vicinity of where I live. The delivery came in about 30 minutes and I was impressed that the delivery girl had to warn me that the bottom of the bag was hot because the Yang Chow Fried Rice that I had ordered was steaming hot. It was jam-packed with beef, chicken and large pieces of shrimp, I was impressed! It was good cheap fried rice, sodium-infused goodness. I couldn’t finish it all and had it for lunch and dinner the next day I also ordered the chicken katsu plate. The chicken katsu was fine but I was very disappointed by the macaroni salad. I am a huge fan of Hawaiian style macaroni salad and this was limp and flavorless. I also missed the steamed cabbage that often comes with a Hawaiian plate All in all, I would definitely order delivery from here again. If I were to get in my car, I would go elsewhere but for convenience on a lazy day Volcano Wok hits the spot!

I always come here when I shop at Ross next door. Quick and cheap Chinese food. The staff there are extremely nice. Plus, they just started serving Chinese style ramen. OK place for a quick Chinese food.

We ordered delivery from Eat24. When I checked in on Unilocal,I was quite shocked to see that this place only had 1 star. However, it had much higher ratings on Eat24, which is why we ordered. I was particularly stoked about the drink selection. Not only did they have our coveted Thai iced teas, they also had BOBA. There were no flavor selections on the online menu, but shortly after placing my order I received a call from the restaurant asking which flavor I would like. I ended up choosing coconut. The food arrived within the quoted time frame. We ordered Shrimp Tempura Rolls, Chicken Fried Rice, Tangerine Chicken, and Beef Ramen. I ate most of my meal in silence with my boyfriend because he was completely intoxicated with his beef ramen noodles. When I was able to snag a bite for myself, I couldn’t deny him the right of food silence. They were absolutely delectable. Noodles, meat, broth and all. The Chicken Fried rice was surprisingly good. I was rather concerned after reading the Unilocal review, because they were particular to mention that their rice tasted like it was a week old! I’d have to deny that this was the case with our order. Not to mention the rice was plentiful. Sometimes I feel like when I order delivery, the rice is an item that easily gets jipped in quantity. The Tangerine Chicken was exactly what it was supposed to be, but on a personal level I wasn’t too crazy about it because the tangerine was a little on the sweet side for me. I felt like I was eating candy. However, I cannot deny that it tasted like tangerines, because it did. I suppose I was looking for more of an orange, tangy chicken flavor. The Shrimp Tempura is where it all went wrong. Shrimp tempura is, without a doubt, one of our favorite types of sushi rolls to order. When we both took a bite, we had a moment of shock at the taste. This wasn’t shrimp tempura at all! In fact, I wouldn’t have been surprised if they told me it was the cucumber roll on their menu. All I tasted was cucumber and avocado. Even so, neither one of us could get past our first bite. Something was just off, I’d never order sushi from here again. Our drinks were definitely the highlight of the meal for me. They were truly spectacular on every level of taste. I’d order back just for the drinks. And the ramen for my boyfriend.
