Been wanting to stop in here for awhile as I have been testing all the vegan spots in the area. This place is fantastic and one of my new favorites. The lady who served me was beyond adorable. I didn’t put a ton of time in my meter so when I had to sit down and not stay very long, she was quick about getting me the check and boxing up my leftovers. I got the Seitan wrap and the Chicken satay. The Chicken Satay was outstanding and great sauces with it. The Seitan wrap wasn’t my favorite make of Seitan but was still yummy. Can’t wait to come back and try more things on this long menu! They look like they have great breakfast stuff– i only wish they were open earlier! :)

Reasonably ok place. Food is decent I’d say, the big plus being that it’s all vegan so you don’t have to worry about secret fish sauce in your ‘veggie’ curry! However I think that most of the dishes lack a fullness of flavor – like there’s something missing. I’ve tried many things: Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Pumpkin Curry, Panang Curry, Fresh Spring Rolls, Tom Yum Soup. They are all reasonably ok but not phenomenal(so much so that I try to get a different thing each time in search of something great, but haven’t found it as yet)…

My favorite place for Crispy egg rolls, yellow curry, red curry. This place have too many of my favorite foods. Once my family and myself became Vegans Vegan Joint became one of our spots for dinning with friends and relatives. At work it’s my co-workers loving the Spicy noodles, House fried rice, chocolate cake and bean burger, Diane’s favorite Chicken sandwich with fries. Oh forgot my garlic fries must try they are fabulous. Dumplings sides but fills your stomach with happiness. I love eating at the Vegan Joint. Chicken quesadilla flavor to match the real thing scary.?!Nachos my kids favorite with chicken nuggets. Try it all menu is full of excellent choices. Atmosphere quiet clean friendly staff they make me laugh. I enjoy the dinning.

This place is located on the 2nd floor of a shopping center. As small as it was, the outdoor seating area was spacious. I took my sister when she came back home for the summer. I had a Groupon and we made a special trip just for lunch. When we arrived on a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant had two other parties. The service was very friendly. I had grabbed a kombucha(they had a good variety of Synergy flavors) that was expired, but our server quickly swapped it out. Don’t forget to check the labels! I had my first experience with hot wings. It even came on a small skewer to resemble the bone. It was so good. The faux chicken shredded up like the real thing. The lentil loaf had a really pleasant texture and was packaged in a lavash wrap. Sister ordered a veggie burger, but I didn’t think it was very memorable. If I lived closer to Hollywood, I would be here all the time.

Yesterday was my first visit to The Vegan Joint on Fountain. I have been to their locale in Woodland Hills at least a dozen times and have been meaning to try this East Hollywood venue. Location is interesting on the second floor of a beat up strip mall from the 40s. Hard to find this place while driving East as their sign is blocked. The mall they are in could use some fresh paint as it is a tad scary in areas. Service was decent. Lunch began with a couple of spring rolls accompanied by peanut sauce. They were okay, nothing special. My main course was the pumpkin curry which was quite good. And, it is the delicious curry I enjoyed which earned them the 4 stars I chose today. The spring rolls, décor and/or service were all 3 star. Will I eat here again? Yes. The curry was good enough to get me back.

Fake meats but tastes just as good or even better since they don’t have all the fat. I try to eat healthy, not getting any younger here, but it’s hard to find good tasting healthy/veggie restaurants where the food doesn’t taste like you’re chewing on cardboard. Well, look no more. They have a soy shrimp that has the same look and consistency of real shrimp. I don’t know where or how but I don’t care. A must try is the Pumpkin Curry. Sounds different, sounds a little weird, but I like pumpkins and I also like curry, so why the hell not. I’m glad I did. Today, I tried the Wonton Soup, egg rolls, and shrimp wontons. Delicious!!! I’m definitely coming back for the rest of the menu.

So good! You know, sometimes you just want a fried something like non vegans and this hit the spot! I got the soy chicken sandwich(fried in kamut batter) and it was amazing! Started with the orange crispy tofu. Wish I could make tofu like that!

Cute little upstairs clean café that left me Disappointed… Unimpressed… I can’t believe there are no refills on their funny tasting iced tea! The fries came in a cute basket, but the vegan«Golden Shrimp» I ordered came wrapped in funny little over-fried wontons and had a weird taste with a bland dipping sauce. Even the ketchup tasted weird! My son liked the dumplings and said they are tasty along with the miso soup, but I don’t think we’ll be back any time soon. On a positive note, I LOVE the colors and décor!

In a hurry so I’ll keep this short. tofu salad and papaya salad were both healthy and super flavorful. When we are in the area, this will be our go-to lunch spot.

This place is pretty bad. I ordered a veggie burger, and my food was literally a bun with onions, green pepper and iceberg lettuce. I was so incredibly underwhelmed that I don’t even know what to say. Also, I don’t usually mention stuff like this, but the waiter got both my friend and I’s orders wrong. I know people make mistakes, and I didn’t make a big deal out of it, but it’s just more icing on the shit cake.

So many amazing vegan options. I’ve taken my meat-eating friends here and they couldn’t taste the difference. The menu is very extensive and I haven’t had anything I didn’t like yet. You honestly can’t go wrong. I enjoy the omelet and my boyfriend loves the sweet and sour. The lentil burger and their chicken wraps are also yummy. There is parking in the plaza. The spot has a cozy outdoor patio or you can get delivery. I don’t know any other vegan delivery places so I am grateful for this joint!

My mouth is still watering from how good all the food was. Everything, from the fresh spring rolls to the spicy eggplant and red curry, just blew my mind. To boot, the outdoor patio made the entire experience even better. If I weren’t a tourist, I’d make this my usual spot. Also, a bird flew around and somewhat in my mouth when we were eating out on the patio but the food was too good for me to feel upset.

Pretty delicious! I recently switched to a vegan lifestyle and so I look for vegan places. I got the soy chicken nachos and dumplings along with the pad Thai. All of it was pretty good.

I was excited to find a vegan spot very close to my house on Unilocal and the prices were amazingly cheap considering that most vegan restaurants can be a bit overpriced. The vegan joint was just a few blocks from my place, and it was a little hard to find because it was you’d have to climb a flight of stairs and the other stores around it looked a bit sketchy. Once I found it though, I was happy to see that there were tables outside which definitely made the place more inviting along with the décor. I was approached by the server promptly, asked for my order and I asked which one he would recommend between the black bean burger and the garlic chicken sandwich, which he said both were good but the black bean burger was the most popular. I ordered the black bean burger and was happy I did. It was light but filling. Definitely perfectly sized for a satisfying meal. The patty was very well seasoned, as well as the fries, which it also comes with(all for only 6.95). And I like that the bun was whole wheat, and they even have organic ketchup! Lol

If I’m in Hollywood I make it a point to stop at this place, if my flesh eating friends complain I remind them their diets are already 60% vegan and they end up loving it. Such great food without animal products, just fresh ingredients that will have you walking out feeling like you can do anything!

Delicious!!! We came for breakfast. We enjoyed pancakes, m, tofu scramble, tropical pancakes, Italian sausage omelette. Every single thing was completely delicious. It is a cute, small restaurant upstairs so we enjoyed eating outside on the balcony. Highly recommend for breakfast. We are eager to come back for other meals!

I was inspired by and was channeling my inner Beyonce(her 30 day Vegan diet) when I decided to try The Vegan Joint. It was around 6pm and the restaurant was not busy at all. Three whole customers dining inside, but was receiving a lot of phone calls for pick-up and delivery(the Hollywood delivers within a 3 mile radius w/a minimum purchase of $ 15). Interior is small and simple with an outdoor patio area. This restaurant specializes in Thai vegan dishes, but one can get breakfast items(burritos, pancakes), burgers/sandwiches, salads and Wraps. I decided on the garlic chicken wrap in lavash($ 7.95) and garlic fries($ 3.00). The wrap was good –veggies were fresh, crisp, the faux chicken had just enough of a garlic flavor –not overpowering and served with a tahini dressing on the side. Garlic fries were a good deal for the large amount they give, had great flavor, but were a bit oily and undercooked. Service was okay. The Asian guy who took my order –didn’t speak with me much(despite my chatty self)… He was a bit busy taking phone orders too, so maybe that had to do with the situation. The only things advertised to be organic is the tofu and organic/non-GMO whole wheat buns, just FYI. I didn’t get a chance to ask quality questions about the remainder of their products(like if the veggies are organic etc.) because as I mentioned, the only one Asian guy, working the front of the restaurant, was a bit busy. I’d go here again to try other things. I felt FIERCE after my meal –wasn’t too heavy. Say NO to food-induced comas! Channel your inner Beyonce! Go Vegan(or try for 30 days!) ;) !

Second time here and I still love it. Tried the pumpkin curry, it’s delicious. Go for it.
