Not bad for airport food! Food is a little bit oily and it’s pretty expensive(as expected), but other than that, pretty solid place for breakfast. I got scrambled eggs with salmon, capers, and cheese. It was delicious! They give you a good amount of salmon(super delicious), and the eggs were cooked perfectly! It also comes with two pieces of toast and a side of breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were a little too oily for me, but the texture was good. For $ 14, you get a good amount of food. So I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re searching for breakfast at LAX!

You’re hungry, at the airport, need a sandwich and a glass of wine? Do yourself a favour and go anywhere but The Larder. They had the trifecta — painfully slow, phenomenally expensive and ridiculously rude staff. Where’s Gordon Ramsey when you need him? He’d have whipped this place into shape in minutes. I queued for 15 minutes to get to order. Requested a sandwich(they’d run out of my choice so I picked a mozzarella melt) requested wine(they’d run out of Chardonnay so I had something else). Total price — $ 36. Yes you read that right. $ 36 for a sandwich and a glass of wine. The server was rude and I had to wait a further 20 minutes for my food. I would have given the place one star but the sandwich was actually quite good. But at that price I’d expect it to be. Ugh. The worst. Avoid.

If you’re in a hurry to catch you’re flight DONOT stop here. Slow, unorganized, chaotic! Food cold and many orders made wrong. Missed the mark bringing LA posh to LAX.

Waited for 20 min, and they told me the coffee machine is out of order. The cashier seems she couldn’t care less and swiped my credit card with rudeness.

Wow… Worse service I’ve ever got. Not surprisingly in the new LAX terminal which tries to be upscale but fail to provide the most basic service: be nice to your customer. The lady who was taking my order didn’t even look at me… Next time I’ll be walking around to choose something else.

Walked around the airport looking for a place to eat before boarding and ended up here. I didn’t want something too heavy(like Panda Express or Umami Burger) but I was too hungry to be satisfied with a salad. Sandwich? Perfect! They have quite a variety of different sandwiches. If you don’t like anything on the menu, you have the«build your own sandwich» option as well! I had the CHICKEN&AVOCADOSANDWICH W/BASIL PESTO. It’s a cold sandwich(baguette) but I asked for it toasted, and I loved it! Wasn’t too big or too small and loved the fresh basils that were inside.

The food I was able to order was tasty(ham and gruyère croissant, vanilla latte), however service and prep are lacking. They were somehow out of both berries($ 8) and fruit($ 6) at 8am on a Friday, which was a disappointment. They have two registers, each manned by one worker, who takes your order then preps your coffee, which translates to unnecessarily long wait times. No pleasantries, didn’t offer to heat my baked good. Good food, but really diminished by the service.

This place is trying to pass for an artisan deli. Problem is, with the exception of the desserts and cookies, it is not high quality food and not prepared well and is nowhere near worth the price. Been there several times. Very boring bagel with smoked salmon & cream cheese for $ 20. Very boring and tasteless pesto chicken sandwich from the grab-and-go frig for $ 15. Then a terrible turkey and cranberry sandwich I had them make for me for the plane. Sparse amt of turkey with overwhelmingly strong cranberry sauce. Ended up scraping the cranberry off, discarding the bread and eating the turkey. Most of the employees appear nice, but seem in over their heads or like everyone is new. Worst situation is what quite a few Unilocalers have mentioned is this concept of asking to-go customers who bought this overpriced food at the counter to get up and leave if they try to sit at one of the tables or the tall communal table. I feel bad for the poor guy who has to say this to people probably 10, 20, 30 times a shift. He said it to me too. I actually knew I wasn’t supposed to, but I’m thinking about the flight so I forgot and sat down and he says«These seats are really for the sit-down service customers» He didn’t say I HAD to leave, but just being told that and realizing the overpriced food I bought to-go doesn’t even merit a seat is rather irritating and unappreciative. So I left and sat in the food court. They absolutely have to come up with a solution to the to-go/seating problem. But it won’t matter because the food is so mediocre that I’d rather get a toasted sandwich at Starbucks.

Totally serviceable here at LAX. Was able to sit and have a quick ‘breakfast for dinner’ meal before a long overnight flight. Had the challah French toast and my wife had the egg, ago and pesto breakfast sandwich. Prices reasonable as well!

The staff were very nice and friendly. Came to drop off my grandma and I was starving so i came here. The food was delicious and although it was busy I received my food at a reasonable time. Would come again!

Not impressed. I was looking for a bite on the go when I got to the terminal. It’s one of the first places you’ll see when you get past security. And because it was my first time back there since the big renovation, I picked this spot(with a shorter line) not knowing there were other options closer to my gate. There are several counters and freestanding bays as part of their space. The staff was completely inattentive and unhelpful. Other customers and I walked around in circles asking where to order and pay and each employee sent me back and forth from one end to the other. The«artisan» sandwich was $ 14 – while fine, the pricing was definitely what another reviewer called it: extortion, even for an airport eatery. I don’t know what it would be like to sit down and have a meal here, but if you want something to go, skip the Larder and go elsewhere.

I’m happy I chose this location to grab a bite before boarding my flight this morning. The employees were all happy and very helpful. I had the breakfast sandwich with pesto, it was delicious. Adriana answered all my questions and was helping guest while the cashier was still taking payments. Fatima had such an amazing attitude, she was cheerful and happy to be helping us. Thanks Larder team for an awesome experience.

DONOTBEFOOLEDBYTHISPLACE… Don’t be fooled by their take on modern meets country and their rustic over priced foods or by their glossy white crumb infested tables or their fake succulents or their fancy wines or their gluten free range, or their pretentious expensive random apothecary cook books that are on display that have been ruined daily by hungry, over tired tourists waiting for their foods to be made, this place is a joke. The staff are so incompetent and do not provide good customer service, they don’t smile but yet they can cut you off in mid sentence to tell the other employees about a funny thing that happened to them and then turn around and ask you again what you want, half the time the employees I swear their ears are painted on. I came here last night before catching my long ass flight back to Sydney and we had a tiny amount of time to kill. Everywhere was packed or rather overly priced and short on cash we decided to go here because it wasn’t that busy. The male server who served me was possibly one of the rudest people I have ever met because he asked what I wanted and as I proceeded to tell him he turned the other way and started talking to the female employee next to him and they were having a good old time, Talking about their«exciting lives» when I said something he put his hand up gesturing me to be quiet. I asked for a turkey sandwich and I asked for it to be toasted. I also asked him for a the big round bottle of water but something tells me some one doesn’t know their shapes properly because he gave me a rectangular bottle of Fiji water. He told me my sandwich would be ready by 9:05. I ordered at 8:59pm. So anyways it took them 20 minutes to make my sandwich, maybe they had to kill the turkey or something or maybe they had something better to do than to make me a sandwich or maybe I’m just a terrible person for wanting some food and I ruined their evening, anyways I’m being dramatic but the chef who was making it asked me what was the matter, I told him old mate said it would be five minutes and it’s been almost 20 and my plane just started to board he said sorry and got someone to make it for me. It was dry and not worth $ 14 or whatever it was… at least give me a reach around or something to satisfy me. Definitely not coming back to this place. Also I would definitely give this place a zero if I could!

$ 14 a sandwich. I mean COMEON! I know it’s the airport, but for being one of the few grab-and-go options in the International Wing, this place is really exploiting it’s customers. The grab-and-go sandwiches were ok – was starving so had the turkey, avocado, which was oily and a little messy to eat, but tasty enough, and the chicken club, which was a good eat. I just can’t get around paying $ 14 for 2 slices of bread with some meat and veggies, or else this rating would be three stars. There’s also a marketplace for various cooking goods, but didn’t have time to explore. Service was friendly but a little slow.

Literally the worst food place ever. I ordered a turkey sandwich and their meat smells and wrapped it so badly it looked like leftover food/tossed salad. Do not go here. So gross.

The food was good… quinoa/black beans side salad, curried cauliflower side and a pretty nice pastrami reuben. The problem is with the people behind the counter. They save their smiles for each other… but don’t share them with the public. Very stone-faced when dealing with the customers. I think some service industry people have realized that the more you smile, the more people will feel free to bitch at you… so why smile? The pisser was that there was this crowd(8 to 10 people) of customers that could not figure out if one register or two were open. Where is the line starting? We were all discussing our cue strategy and trying to claim a spot in SOME line as more people were walking up every minute with their own interpretation of where the line starts… you’ve all seen this before… when, seemingly out of the blue, the surly chick behind the counter says, «this register is for cash and that one is for credit cards». So, we all form two lines under the new«system» but the two clowns at the registers don’t bother conveying this info to any new customer in line. And there are people who are now 3 spots further back in line because they are paying cash and it becomes clear that the register that had been designated«cash» is suddenly accepting credit cards. I mean, shit, there are problems with registers all the time… but smile and convey the issues to people who are hungry and trying to catch a flight. At the prices they charge they should be able to hire two more people… one of them can clean the tables which were in pretty sad shape… and the other one can smile.

Yeah it’s pricey, but there are other cheap options such as ink. sack and at least it’s organic and healthy. I enjoyed my quinoa, black bean and kale salad, roasted vegetables, Italian broccoli, strawberry scone, and flat, crispy chewy cookie. And I second the other reviewers comment that the lady that served me seemed to want to be anywhere else but here. She was pretty distant and didn’t seem to understand my questions.

We were traveling thousands of miles from comfort We were traveling land and sea And at The Larder at LAX, friends I found an amazing thin cookie A CHEWY masterpiece, friends With chocolate chunks high quality For that few minutes of «gastro-indulgence» There was no place I’d rather be With every bite did take Unilocalers, make no mistake I was ooh-ing and aah-ing out loud Some other traveler Her nerves I did bestir This jumpy on-edge crowd! If you gave me another, I would take it It’s better than homemade from mother, she would bake it As good I’ve only had one other, Ben’s makes it But for cookies in the USA, there’s no cookie I’d rather eat No-no-no-no, no cookie I’d rather eat No-no-no-no, no cookie I’d rather eat As for their other offerings friends Pricey and portions NOT replete Got the salad trio for lunch The best one was salad beet The others uninspiring For only nutrition did I eat So go there only for their cookies These cookies are hard to beat!
