Having just one staff on duty seems semi ridiculous to me for a restaurant in LAX. Yes it is the one when you pass the security check points and you are about to go on your flight… but really just one staff! Sigh I really don’t understand why LAX is one of the most suckiest airports in the world. Even in the Middle East they have better airports and a lot of food choices! Marina Bar just can’t compare to any standard. I would say the chicken tenders which takes ten minutes is just horrible and quite dry. I felt like I was eating fake chicken… not that I have had fake chicken but this is what I would think it would taste like! The hot dog don’t get me started it was disgusting… the oil or water coming out of the hot dog just wasn’t sitting well with me. If you are desperate and you really don’t want to eat airplane food but forgot to get something on the way to LAX… well you are pretty much screwed either way… Not worth the money and this place just really didn’t make me feel great.

The only source of food in this crappy terminal. I ordered a 12 dollar«panini», which essentially consists of a slimy something they claim is chicken, a wrinkly slice of tomato, and something resembling cheese. She unwrapped it and put it in a microwave. We got charged for a coffee that we didn’t want and they wouldn’t offer a refund. This is as crappy as it gets. Avoid this place like the plague. They should be shut down.

This is a review of a chili-cheese dog breakfast at Marina Bar and Grill in Los Angeles International Airport. First, yes you did read that correctly; chili-cheese dog breakfast. Marina Bar and Grill seemed to be pretty much the only game in town for this far corner of the LAX International terminal. I was hungry and had time to kill. I decided to go for it. The place screams airport. It just can’t help itself. The simple table and chairs. The super bright lights. The bar tucked away in back. However, the restaurant is very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There are other things on the menu(pizzas. etc…) but hot dogs seem to be the featured dish. I think all of the large menu posters featured a different hot-dog. i decided to forgo the pre-designed dogs and shoot for a simple hot-dog plus chili plus cheese. I rounded it out as a value meal adding a soft-drink and a bag of chips. You can also have a version of this where you get a beer from the bar in back. Hot-dog + Chili + Cheese — Will Marina Bar and Grill be putting Tommy’s out of business anytime soon, well«no». But this was a surprisingly good hot dog. Instead of fake cheese from a pump, it even featured real shredded cheese. With some added mustard and ketchup, it made for a tasty breakfast and geared me up for the 20 hours of travel ahead of me. Receipt($ 8.69) At just under 9 bucks for a chili-cheese dog, bag of chips, and a soft drink, they do not gouge the customer. This is a uncommon nice surprise for a airport diner. Overall — There is certainly a lot worse food found in airports. If you like chili-dogs, you will probably be quite happy with their fare. I was. Plus, the staff is friendly and the place is well kept. On top of that, they do not take the opportunity to stick you with the airport gouge. It was a good way to start my day.
