I’ve been here previously with my boyfriend, except I can’t recall when and I guess it wasn’t amazing then but this time, this place made me happy and my mom especially happy. Going on this past Sunday with the Jonas Brothers apparently in attendance equaled many adolescent girls in the plaza but besides that, the Grove was popping at the seams with people. My mom and I grabbed a quiet table in the Farm and our waiter James was great. Since the prices are a bit hefty and my mother and I wanted to eat light, we decided to split an appetizer, a salad and an entrée. The muffins, by the way, are divine! With that sweet butter, I definitely could take a cartload with me if I could. We had the calamari for an appetizer which was small in size but tasty and fresh. Not sure if I’d order it again. Then we had the ahi tuna three ways salad, which I want the recipe now! The ponzu dressing they used makes this a favorite instantly. I have a tangy, sour flavor profile so this was perfect for me and I love tuna. Thank you James for the wonderful recommendation. Finally, we had the grilled salmon. The salmon was a bit typical but the sauce that they put on also had a tangy profile so that was great and the mashed potatoes(seriously, no one can mess up mashed potatoes and if they did, my goodness – get out of the kitchen) with the beets were mouth watering. I’d definitely would come here for the ahi tuna salad with a couple of girlfriends, but we’ll see if I’d want to try the rest of the menu.
