This was my first time eating here, I had heard so much about it. Our waiter was very friendly she offered many recommendations from the soup of the day to the best wine to different types of lemon-aid they had. Since I had eaten a little earlier I had the Bar B Q chicken salad it was so good and very feeling. This restaurant caters to child, they have a variety of food on the kids menu for children to eat. If you not a big fish eatter they also serve fish.

I am from Texas and you know what that means when it comes to barbecue. I have been enjoying barbecue for, more or less, 65 years. This restaurant is one of the better barbecue restaurants that I have encountered. The meat and the sauces are superb. The sides are heavenly. The service is friendly and fast. The cherry on top of the cake is that we ate there on the day of my wife’s birthday. They brought out a sundae with a candle on it and sang Happy Birthday to my wife. This was free of charge.

Came here almost closing time so I don’t hold it against them. Sorry for that WR employees. Free bread is good. a little salty but its supposed to be that way. the artichoke dip was good too(not salty) steaks came out more cooked than asked so it was not to my liking.(medium rare but i got medium-med well) its a good bbq rib chain in so-cal areas. get the ribs.

Luved babyback ribs @ Wood Ranch & your waitress/food server named Izela was terrific. Not another actress in Hollywood with waitress job as backup gig to pay the rent but a real professional who cares about patrons & obviously loves her work. She made lunch that much more enjoyable & I’m now a repeat customer @ any one of her tables. Thanks. Rick

Went here yesterday afternoon & Bryce was our waiter. He was great. But the food was NOT. The corn was cut off the cop like I asked but it was SO dry, and plain. The baked potato was not cooked all the way, which sucked :( I just wish we had a better experience especially if our bill was 65 $…

Atmosphere: Wood Ranch is clean, dark, and relatively loud(not a bad thing). Wood Ranch has a bar with many tv’s playing sports. The ambience is similar to that of BJ’s if you’ve ever been there. Service: I went there for a birthday party and we showed up on a Sunday night with 15 people without a reservation. It took them an hour to get us seated, but we completely understood that, without a reservation, accommodating a large party like us will take some time to clean and put together tables so we were more than happy with our wait time. The service was outstanding and we were constantly getting checked up on. Great attitudes everywhere. Food: They give you bread before the meal! It’s some type of garlic bread(garlic bun would be more like it) and it’s super good. Try not to fill up on it before getting your main course though because the entrée portions are a good size. I had the buckeye burger with coleslaw and my girlfriend got the grilled salmon with fries. The burger was great, the veggies tasted fresh and the meat was juicy. The coleslaw was tangy and refreshing at the same time and the nuts added a nice texture. Seriously, 11⁄10 for the coleslaw. The salmon dish although understandingly a little smaller compared to other entrees, my girlfriend and I were expecting more for a 20 dollar dish. The salmon was a little over cooked and didn’t offer any thing more than what could have been done at home. The fries were good, but when are fries ever bad haha. If Wood Ranch was just a tad cheaper I would love coming here more often, but as of now, it’s just not worth the money to me. The price/taste ratio is a little too high keeping this from a 5 star rating. Great for special occasions, not so much for regular outings.

I used a little up in the air about Wood Ranch, but I’ve had it enough times to where it’s pretty consistent. First off, I love this location. I like that it’s not actually in the Grove and it’s next to the parking garage, which the restaurant validates for. My office usually caters from Wood Ranch because it’s so close and so far, the baby back ribs are the best thing I’ve had from here! The meat falls right off the bone and is very tender. The flavor is really good too because it has a nice smokey taste and has a light char to it. The Mac & Cheese here is also a must try! It has a thick consistency, so less is actually more and it’s still packed with cheesy goodness. The garlic bread in the beginning is a good starter, but it can get you full if you eat too much! The most recent time I came, I had the lunch special which was two sliders, a side, and your choice of a side salad or soup. I got the tri-tip with mashed potatoes and a ceasar salad. The sauce on the tri-tip was a little too sweet for my liking, but luckily they were small sliders so there wasn’t too much of it. The actual meat was cooked really well though. It’s a good portion for a light eater, but it’s $ 14, which is still cheaper than most of the other dishes on the menu. Overall, the BBQ is good, but it’s not my favorite. The location, service, and portions is probably what mostly keeps bringing me back.

Decided to try this place when me and my boyfriend had been given a 50 $ gift card. It was Friday night and it wasn’t overly crowded which was great! We arrived about 5pm and were seated pretty quickly. Our server was very nice and gave us time and details when we had questions. I ordered the chicken breast, fiery green beans, and Mac n cheese… With a side of Tennessee peach ;)(whiskey cocktail which was delicious!) My boyfriend had the bbq combo with beef brisket and chicken, sides of baked beans and grilled corn. He had a makers old fashioned(another yummy whiskey cocktail) Food was cooked very well! The chicken was amazing and the sauce was delicious! We would def come back here. Service was 5 stars and the drinks /food was delicious !

I’m not usually a big BBQ fan, and rarely eat red meat, however the food was AMAZING! I had the try 2 items combo with the baby back ribs and the pull pork sandwich, and had the Mac and cheese and black beans as sides. Delicious! The only down side is my friend orders the barbecue chicken salad with no cheese and no chicken sub avocado and it came out wrong two times. She ended up canceling the salad and had to watch me eat. Not sure if the kitchen kept on making it wrong or the server was imputing it wrong. This restaurant is located in the Grove and provides parking validation.

Wood Ranch reminds me of an Applebee’s/Outback gone right. Yes, I’m aware that sounds very similarly to a backhanded compliment, but it’s really not a bad thing! I actually like Applebee’s…when I’m not hating myself. Anyways, Wood Ranch’s barbecue and sides are not to underestimated. While it’s not as impressive as Lucille’s(which has a sweeter, more layered flavor), Wood Ranch’s bbq was still good. I ordered the full rack of ribs with Mac ‘n cheese and fries. Classic. The full rack is enough to share between two, especially with sides! The ribs themselves were quite meaty, and I had no problem getting that protein off the bone with my fork/knife. This is right before I scared my friends by cleaning off the bone like a prehistoric caveman. The meat is tender, and plays a good balance between actual protein and fat. The flavor is slightly smokey, but not to the point where you feel like you’re dunking your head into an ash pit. However, it isn’t mind blowing, and I suspect that’s because it’s a chain that has to make some compromises in favor of efficiency. The Mac ‘n cheese is decadent. I personally don’t like Mac in general, but the boys at the table gave it two thumbs up. Not going to lie, the butter-colored cheese looked very similar to liquid gold… Overall, I would say Wood Ranch is a go. It has a tasteful«I’m more parent– friendly than SaddleRanch» vibe that is non-offensive. The food is solid, and predictable in the same way that those blue jeans make your ass look great. Mmmm

I tried their online ordering for pick up to avoid a wait. I had the BBQ baby back ribs, a full rack, which was tender and sweet, but a little shy on the meat. The full rack consists of 13 pieces which is plenty for one person. Also tried the Lauren’s mac and cheese, which was decent, not something I would try again. The cheese was hard, no creaminess to it at all. Their fries were good, nice and hot. In addition, the bread was super delicious, and probably one of the best things I ate for the evening. The parking situation is a tad on the insane side, especially during holiday season at the Grove and Farmer’s Market. It was nearly impossible to find a parking spot. They also charge you at night, even if you are in the parking lot for less than 15 minutes. Needless to say I was shocked when I was charged $ 4 for parking just to run in and grab my takeout. I should have done the curbside valet parking. Or better yet, just parked the car at the apartment and walked across the street. Just a beware about the parking situation. Otherwise, the restaurant is nice. The bar was relatively empty, and the bartender very nice. I grabbed a glass of wine while I waited for my food, which wasn’t long since I had ordered it online. There is a little counter for the to go pick up, and the staff there was very helpful, as well as got my food out right away. I will likely eat here again just to try some other delicious dishes.

I like Woodranch, been coming here for years. When we have family gatherings, we always order the ribs, chicken and side dishes. They are yummy and consistently good. For the family meals, they provide a giant tub of bbq sauce, which is a little exessive because the chicken and ribs are already coverd in sauce! Staff is friendly. Parking can be a pain sometimes though, but they have pick up parking, which helps!

Wood Ranch offers a variety of BBQ. Their pulled pork is quite popular, as well as their baby back ribs. I was surprised too how good their french dip was. Though their complimentary garlic bread is one that is not to be missed. Service was great and it is located right across The Grove, next to Nordstrom. Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

If you are a person who loves Wood Ranch you will love this location. Located at beginning of the grove. You have valet parking or private lot parking. The service here from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave is excellent. The plus of coming here for lunch it’s not too busy. So you get in and out in no time. If you are a person who enjoys great salads I highly recommend the BBQ chicken salad that is always excellent. Also the Asian chicken salad is worth trying. For the meat lovers you must try the beef ribs that have excellent flavoring. For the vegetarian eaters the menu is limited to salads or spinach and artichoke dip. The stopped caring the turkey burger that was one of best ones I ever had. If you are coming to the grove for a movie or shopping you will enjoy the great service that wood ranch offers. They have a great bar if you are a person who looking to get in and out in no time.

It was just simply an overpriced lunch experience. Wood Ranch BBQ& Grill do not validate the Grove parking ticket. Service was good, but the lunch combo was meh. On a brighter side, garlic rolls were pretty good! *** Lunch combo — two sliders(America’s Best BBQ Tri Tip & Carolina Pulled Pork — mix & match costs additional $ 1.95) + soup(clam chowder) + smashed sweet potato($ 13.95 base price): Other than decent smashed sweet potato and tri tip, pulled pork tasted very dry and clam chowder was average at best. *** I am pretty sure that I can find a better $ 20(tax and tip included) «lunch combo» deal(and don’t forget about possible parking fees) with better tasting food somewhere within 5 miles of the Grove. So 2 Stars = I’ve DEFINITELY experienced better. P. S. — Now I think about it, I should pay few more dollars and opt for the full rack of baby back ribs instead.

I had heard good things about Wood Ranch before my visit and even when I checked in, some of my Unilocal friends were like«So jealous» and«Get the so-and-so»… Upon arrival, I was not sure what to expect… Seeing that it is in The Grove, I had pretty high expectations. I enjoy walking around the Grove! Anywho, we were seated quickly and our sever was actually very wonderful, I can’t remember his name… But he was a great server… I love BBQ so… After going through the menu… I had to listen to a good Unilocal friend of mine and I ordered the Americas Best Tri Tip Sandwich(how original)… It was actually really, really good. I enjoyed every bite of it and I actually didn’t mind the bun that it came on… It was really good with the fries… Overall the experience was really nice and I will visit again if I am at The Grove… You should too!

I had lunch here on a Sunday. We walked in and waited in the front for a few minutes before being seated in a booth. We started off with iced teas. Our waiter brought out some garlic buns to start us off. We then ordered the onion strings and fries. These are soooo bad for you but at the same time sooooo good. I may have poured BBQ sauce all over the contents of this plate. I definitely felt my fat cells expanding with each and every bite. The grilled BBQ chicken was just okay. The mac &a cheese is to die for. Probably one of the best I’ve ever had. I’ve also been told that the Mac & cheese here is amazing. The baked beans were great as well. The overall service was good. Our waiter, checked on us often and filled our iced teas without us having to ask. I don’t remember his name or else I’d mention it. We parked at the grove parking structure and just validated at one of the clothing stores. The parking lot out front is a zoo. Try to avoid this side, especially on a Sunday.

Wood ranch is my favorite restaurant for BBQ chopped salads! They also have a huge selection of American dishes. This is the spot if you like ribs, meat, chicken and/or fish and shrimp. They have a variety of salad selections as well. They weekday have happy hour deals for $ 5. Their drinks menu isn’t too bad either. They also have a variety of beers on tap to choose from. This location wasn’t so busy today so I opted to sit at the bar and watch some sports. I ordered a glass of cold water and my favorite, the BBQ chopped salad. This time around, I ordered my salad with grilled salmon($ 3 extra) and no cheese. The salad would have probably tasted so much better with cheese and chicken but to my surprise, it was just as delicious and healthier with salmon. Our waitress greeted me and took my order as soon as I sat down, and checked on me regularly even asking if my salad was to my liking. The staff is always nice and friendly. This place tends to get busy around lunchtime and dinner so sitting at the bar isn’t a bad idea. Weekends will definitely get busy and rushed so I advise calling ahead to make a reservation.
