I’ve been here to study a few times and I like that it’s never closed! However, the drinks are kinda depressingly sad. Watery and bland like I mixed it out of a packet for instant cappuccino powder. The owner was incredibly nice though… so i feel a lil bad, but I gotta keep it 100… The area is annoying to park in… so its a pass for me… unless I’m desperado… in which case i’ll just order hot tea or something.

Coffee T Bar has good and bad points, but for its uniqueness, I’m giving it 5 stars THEGOOD — 1. The OUTDOORPATIO — like nothing else, most of this place is a gigantic patio, open to Sunset BLVD, where the Los Angeles air naturally mixes in with your evening of hookah smoking and/or coffee drinking — the patio is adorned with heaters, TVs and comfy couches, making it the best patio in Los Angeles — this unique feature, alone, warrants this place 5 stars 2. LOOSELEAFTEA — I always appreciate a Coffee Shop that serves real LOOSELEAFTEA, in a pot, not just cups — the loose leaf tea here is of solid quality and the servers understand the steeping process, etc — compared to most coffee shops, this place acts like a tea house, in giving respect to the tea leaves — however, I noticed that the tea leaves are stored in GLASS containers, which(if the owners are reading this) needs to be changed to METAL or TINS, as outside sun rays could hurt the effectiveness of the tea leaves THEBAD — 1. LAPTOPPING — Coffee T Bar welcomes laptoppers, but the outdoor patio is not really made for laptopping, as its mostly couches — fortunately, there are tables closer to the counter, where you can sit straight and type, but it would be nice if such tables were also on the patio 2. 24HOURS? — apparently, they close this place down a few hours every night to clean up — a shame if that’s true, as the importance of straight 24 hour service makes this place unique and a haven for late night artists Otherwise — I still give it 5 stars and a great place to visit for writing — enjoy all!

Was here with a friend looking for a late night hang out place besides a bar. For a late Sunday evening, this was an ideal place as there weren’t too many people there. We found parking on the street, and the place itself is well kept. We ordered a pot of Sencha tea to share and hung out on the couches. It’s an odd mixture of things to take in, but in a way they have something to stimulate the visual, audible, and textual sense of the body. There’s enough going on at that place to keep you entertained. The staff there is pretty relaxed and attentive. They have a great selection of hookah, but I was rather disappointed to find out that they didn’t have any smaller sized hookahs available for one person(my friend doesn’t smoke). I also wasn’t about to dish out money for a large sized hookah to smoke by myself either. If I came here with a friend to share a hookah, I’d like to think the price they charge plus three additional bowl refills is definitely worth the price. As for future knowledge I now know of this place to fulfill any future nights of insomnia.

Even though I have to sacrifice the other two meals I would have eaten during the day to afford their banana protein shake, it’s well worth it! They always upgrade me to the 24oz even though I order the 16oz, and they throw in a couple scoops of peanut butter for me too upon my request. It’s the perfect way to start a sunshine-filled day and it gets me pumped up for a Runyon Canyon trek. Since it’s a little on the heavy side(banana, soy milk, apple juice, and peanut butter — don’t quote me on the apple juice because I don’t taste it but it is on the description), it definitely keeps me filled up for the rest of the day. And, no matter the time of day you go, the place will inevitably smell like hookah.

I am not a fan of Sunset Blvd because of how loud it is, bombarded with LA’s worst drivers, so the fact that this café sits smack in the middle of this chaos just lost it a star. One solution would be to guard off the patio that faces the busy street with glass doors or, at the very least, some curtains. Another con is that it’s trying to be too many things at once. Is it a hookah lounge, a café, or a sports bar? I don’t think the dark, plush furniture with their hookahs go well with huge flat screens playing American football. The atmospheres are in serious competition with each other and the one that’s winning is the polluted Sunset Blvd. What makes this place«A-OK,» in Unilocal’s terms, is the friendly staff. Michael, one of the owners, introduced himself and offered a hookah, on the house. They’re definitely taking the«family establishment» approach, of which I’m always a big fan. Their paninis looked good, though I didn’t try one, and they have a pretty good coffee/cappuccino selection. The tea options could use a little boost. If I lived in the area, I would probably check in once in a while, but I won’t take the 10 for it.

This place is pretty awesome! It seems so random to have a 24 hour hookah bar but its a nice place to hang out in the late hours. The owner is super accommodating and attentive. Its a nice place to chill and get a nice caffeinated drink. The food might be iffy, but its definitely a low key date/hang out.

even the buses run 24 hours why isnt there a decent café opens 24⁄7? that fact this places welcomes you 3 in the morning deserve 10 stars here. I drove by twice and couldnt find it so I called them and was told the lights were not on as they’re new. well with the 3rd time help of my GPS I was able to explore further. the place is cozy but is not that spacious. and for me who wanted to use my laptop there wasnt a table for that. yes the couches are nice but they arent made for laptops unless you wanna lie on it. beside that, with the super nice service of the owner/server,(im not sure) this place rocks. it did take a little long for my drinks to come but I think they tasted pretty good. I tipped about 20% to support them cuz boy u know 24⁄7 is a big commitment in this city

Although it wasn’t what i expected. It’s what i wanted. Went because in my area, we lack coffee shops that are open 24 hours. Great place to go to hang out, converse, relax. Smaller then expected, but did the job. Wi-Fi was great and couches are super duper comfy. :) Overall satisfied. Oh yea, and did i mention HOOKAH? If you ask the owner what flavor to recommend or to surprise you, he never fails.

I’ve been to this 24-hour Wi-Fi café on a number of occasions, including once with fellow Unilocaler Anthony N and his sister. The set up appears to be a converted garage transformed into a hookah lounge from which large flat screen TVs and a set of couches and sofas can be discovered at every turn. The pastry counter is situated in the back, enclosed and kept private from the public eye. Throughout the day you’ll find groupies coming and going sporadically and then there’s me who tend to sit at the tiny corner with my laptop all the way in the back. Their food and drinks are not all that great and are very expensive. I have tried their Spicy Tuna Panini($ 9.55) that came with canned spicy tuna salad with provolone, tomatoes, Tunisian chili, kalamata olives, and cucumber generously layered in between wholesome ciabatta bread. Aside from the canned tuna, the fillings tasted decent but the warm pressed ciabatta bread was too thick and very tough to bite into. The sandwich came with a spinach and tomato salad, but they were out of dressing so I was given a small cup of olive oil on the side. In retrospect, I should have eaten at one of the nearby Thai restaurants before coming here. I was also able to try their Soy Perfect Marriage($ 4.15) which was their mocha that came out very bland and diluted without much espresso or chocolate. Their small cup of Snow Dragon Tea costs a whopping($ 7.99) and I also had the chance to taste their Cherry Banana Tea($ 3.99). Needless to say, they both were not very good. Aside from the food, the ambiance is great as they often show ESPN and it’s easy to strike a conversation with the people sitting nearby. Since this café is one of the few that opens 24 hours in LA, I would recommend people to come hangout without expecting too much from their menu. I would also recommend for people to visit in the evening, as opposed to daytime, as the service is friendlier and relatively more attentive. As a comparison, their evening staff is one of the most genuine and friendliest people around and will respond quickly whenever they’re being called upon. On the other hand, the people who work there during the day simply don’t care about the place and their customers, and often leaves trash unattended for a long period of time. I was shocked to see the male server defers all responsibilities to his female counterpart while he focuses on the hookah. I only wished their nighttime employees could see how this space is being operated when they’re not around. Deeply disappointed, I don’t think I will be coming back.

The last time I was here, as written in my previous review, the owner, Freddy, didn’t have a backgammon board but promised to have one the next time I was in. He delivered and the next time I saw him(he recognized me) he had the backgammon board and we even played a mini-tournament for three hours. Very cool guy and very hospitable. The barista, Samantha, was cute and friendly and even makes a mean panini. Ask her for recommendations on tea, she’ll have you trying things that you never knew existed. Wait, there’s more, it’s open 24/7, you can bring your well behaved dogs, there’s free wifi, there’s cushy couches with pillows, and it’s a cigar friendly atmosphere which all had me asking if I could install a mailbox for myself and move in.

The fact that this place is open 24 hours makes it that much better. The hookah is perfectly priced, especially since you get free refills! I have never been to a hookah place that offers free refills. The hookahs are not the best quality, but they got along with the décor of the place. They have comfy couches, and huge flat screen tvs. It’s a place with potential especially if you want a place to hang out after a late night out. The food was really tasty, and the smoothies were actually made with real fruit. The owner was very friendly, and always checked up on us. They use coconara charcoals which make the hookah taste way better, along with less ash, and you don’t always need new charcoals every 30 minutes or so. But, I prefer hookah lounges with middle eastern owners because you get authentic Mediterranean food along with real hookah.

I haven’t really made a full-fledged judgement on this place yet. I feel like it has the potential to be a cool place, but something about the too-loud-I’m-not-supposed-to-be-in-a-club music and the hookah smoke just makes it fall short of decent. They have wi-fi, which is great, and good coffee, nice seating, but just two ticks short of a relaxing coffee/tea bar.

The place is decorated like a nightclub with flatscreen tv’s playing cool stuff like espn hd, adult swim, movies. etc. etc. Awesome music, cool employees. Food Coffee Tea. FREEWIFI! OPEN24⁄7. What more do you want? I don’t hookah but, yeah. hookahs too. Hot Damn! Rock. Only question is. how long will it last?

Wow! This place is super perfect in all ways. I hesitate to write this in fear that I won’t be able to find a seat once the secret’s out. But I’m writing it anyways because it’s too good to keep a secret. The seating is my favorite part of this place: comfortable couches with huge flat screen tvs on the wall. Also you get the breeze coming in as the whole front is open to the street… The music is great, you can smoke a hookah, free internet, good coffee, great snacks… I kind of love this place. Check it out! It’s really chill and open 24 hours :)

Welcome to the neighborhood, Coffee T Bar! This place has all the underpinnings for a potential«spot» in my life: coffee, wifi, hookah, large televisions. You can read about those in the other reviews. It also has personnel(owners) who are proud of what they’ve created and are incredibly inviting and warm. We went there and had the opportunity to meet Michael and Freddy who advised us to not worry about a thing and to just have fun. They kept the coals coming and they also offer free refills of hookahs. Magnificent.

This is my first review. This is my first Unilocal.I don’t know how this is supposed to go. So here’s goes nothing… Ever wonder why it’s not ‘here goes everything’? Such a weird phrase… My friend was the one who brought me there, but she had never heard of the place and chose for us to go there because it was a 24 hour coffee shop that Unilocal recommended. We got there at exactly midnight, Saturday. There was a high-ceiling arcade. On the walls were flat-screen TVs set to different programs. Plush couches were pushed against the walls surrounding small coffee tables. A few people were inhaling on some hookah, talking the way people talk whilst inhaling hookah. Immediately the owner greeted us. His name was Freddy. Really friendly and genuine. Now, for someone with social anxiety, new places gives me the creeps. But Freddy really made me feel welcome and relaxed. He told us there was going to be a belly dancer performing that night. He also sat with us helping us, step by step, to get onto their free wifi. Unfortunately the belly dancer was already in bed. It was 1 in the morning by that time. But we ordered food, coffee, and three rounds of hookah. The flavor tobacco we chose was ‘sex on the beach’. Now neither one of us were familiar with the hookah experience, but she’d heard that it’s supposed to put you in a conversational state of mind, which was why people smoked hookah in the first place. After a few puffs, we understood why. We stayed there until four in the morning, talking about love, life, and the pursuit of happiness. It was a very chill, relaxed, and comfortable experience. And we went on a Saturday night! I’d go there again. Wow. Unilocaling is easy. you just write a lot of run-on sentences with fluctuating tense while you give your opinion on stuff. Very interesting. Very interesting indeed…

They have hookah too and you can smoke your cigarettes while they provide you with free wife. The owner is hella super great. I was smoking hookah with him. I would definitely drive all way to LA from Pasadena just to hang out here. It is worth it! Trust me!

So as it turns out, we were in search of a 24 coffee shop in Hollywood. We had nothing to do and luckily found a place to(not) do it. The Coffee T Bar was more then we could ask for. The staff and owner were very accommodating and friendly. We sat outside on a beautiful night and just wasted time. I look forward to having nothing to do very soon… I know where I’m coming! Thanks Coffee T Bar. Salam to all my LA Unilocalers!!! H is for Hookah in Hollywood! I wanted to share a really cool spot I randomly found! Think… hookah lounge, café… open 24hrs. I randomly found this brand new cool hole in the wall this past weekend while on W Sunset Blvd. I parked on the street right in front of the coffee t bar and noticed that I seen a new spot that was never there before… flashing lights, cool furniture, hookahs, tea & coffee… wow… so much going on in such a cute little space. Omg, do I hear house music?! Now, I’m sold… I have to walk in, touch, sit, taste, experience… lol. I walked in… to check it out. Vince started to talk to me… asked me if I wanted to try their complimentary smoothie… and told me a little about this new business that just opened up. I did a walk through and thought«wow, pretty interesting! A café/hookah lounge.» On the way to making my exit… I ended up getting stopped by the owner Mike who asked my friend and I if we wanted to smoke hookah…(I never smoked hookah before but my friend has, so she was all about it). I guess I paused for a quick second and said to myself, why not?! I can check this off my «never have done before» do list! Mike hooked us up with double apple! wow, interesting! Next thing you know, we were chillin at one of the tables, smoking hookah and conversating with the owner! They even gave us chips & water to snack on! cool. What I love about this place: — open 24 hours! yup that’s right you can smoke hookah any time of the day, if hookah is your thing… tons of cool flavors to choose from. — they serve food 24 hours/day… paninis, salads, smoothies, teas, coffee… bake goods. they also have energy drinks, bottled water, etc. — Vince & Issac’s play list rocks! house music… my favorite! — cool set up! love the furniture, lights, flat screen tvs. — you can reserve a table if you want to watch a game, etc. — indoor/outdoor seating — you can bring your own alcohol(they will be getting a license to service soon) — good deals… with free refills. If you’re in the area… looking for a place to smoke hookah… hungry in the middle of the night or anytime of the day… want a coffee/tea/smoothie… want to chill with friends with great house music or watch a game… COFFEE T BAR is the place to be ANYTIMEOFTHEDAY! Tell Mike I sent you! Issac & Vince are really cool guys! =] I have high hopes for Coffee t bar! I’ll be back if I’m in the area. Don’t forget you must be 18 years or older to light it up! lol. street parking. and in case you’re wondering… no dress code or cover, come as you are! I’ll always remember my first time experience smoking hookah. I’m shocked that I smoked… especially since I’m a nursing student… but on the bright side… What a cool random experience! cheers! xo. — Miss Unilocal 2010.
