Can’t believe it closed — so sad. We were frequent guests.

My wife and I came here to celebrate Mother’s Day. First she was hesitant because they only have their Mother’s Day Menu but we went anyway. We both loved their lobster Frittata. One of the best Lobsters we have ever eaten. The top sirloin steak was just«ok». Their flourless chocolate cake was great. We will definite come back. We still yet to try their rib eye steak and of course, their John Dory fish.

I absolutely loved it here!!! I was amazed at the quality of the meat! Lol, got ahead of myself. Walking in, the ambience is nice, dim lights, the smell of good steaks, smiling waiters and waitresses greeting you. My server Ibere was very informative and he suggested the right drinks and the right entrees. I ordered the porcini rubbed Delmonico steak with 12 year aged balsamic. And my friend ordered the special for that day, bone in filet mignon. Both of these were soooooo good! Also I ordered the au gratin potatoes, and that was also good. I had a very good experience here and I definitely am coming back. This could be my new go to steak place.

Easter brunch was great. Everything from the food, the service, to the ambiance was terrific. Walk in and you immediately notice the cherry wood paneling, the personal wine lockers and upscale décor. Service, particularly our waiter Nathan, was friendly and super attentive. He was constantly refilling our drinks and came back often to ensure that everything was going well. From the brunch menu, I ordered the clam chowder, dry aged sirloin with fried egg, and the crème brûlée. You should definitely try one of the steaks. It is a steakhouse, right? The sirloin loin(medium) was perfectly grilled and very tasty. Slightly crispy on the outside and surrounded by a light mash and topped with a fried egg and thin cut crispy onion rings — It was so juicy and flavorful. The chowder was exactly as you’d expect. It was good. Lots of clams, flavorful without being too salty or creamy. The vanilla bean crème brûlée was a dessert favorite. We ended with four of these because the first one was so good. I also had bites of the pan seared salmon and the lobster frittata. The salmon was okay, nothing special but the lobster… mmm. It was super rich. Three bites of that would’ve done me in. Buttery and very creamy… it was good, but oh so filling. Overall, it was a very satisfying. I’d definitely come back to try the other steaks paired with something from their posh wine bar. Capital Grille is only accessible from the street and is separate from the Beverly Center. Do yourself a favor and drive up to the complimentary valet on Beverly which is adjacent to the restaurant entrance.

Some of the best service I’ve experienced at a restaurant. Waiter was so friendly and courteous. Very classy, comfortable atmosphere. Started with a caprese salad. Fresh mozzarella(made every hour in house), tomato, basil with 15-year aged balsamic. Mozzarella had very good structure to it, good chew and a slight saltiness to it. Very fresh tomato, and the vinagrette had the perfect amount of tart to it. 24 oz. dry aged porterhouse cooked medium. Tender, juicy, and great texture to the steak. Lobster mac and cheese. As it cooled down, this plate got much better. Awesome cheese, and I liked the pasta shells they used. A little fluted shape. Could’ve maybe used a bit more lobster in there, but what was in there tasted great. Creamed sweet corn and bacon. The corn had a really nice crunch to it. It wasn’t as creamy as it sounds, which I enjoyed. Also some roasted brussels sprouts that complemented the steak nicely. They gave us a complementary dessert, a caramelized cheesecake and flourless chocolate espresso cake. Amazing. Some berries on the side. We brought a bottle of wine(2010 Gramercy Cellars Columbia Valley Cab) and they didn’t charge us corkage fee. Everything was great. Ended up paying like $ 115 for all of that — which isn’t cheap but not completely absurd. Plus the free corkage fee and dessert. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating.

The Capital Grille is my all time favorite steak restaurant… Whenever I have an anniversary or a b-day to celebrate my Fiancée and I are more than likely at Capital Grille. So far the I have never been disappointed with the quality of service here and its really second to none. I always make reservations ahead of time and I always request a booth for that extra romantic feel. Whenever I tell them its a special occasion they always prepare the table with a little greeting card written by the staff welcoming us which is a nice touch and definitely makes us feel welcomed. My favorite appetizer to start off with is the pan fried calamari with hot cherry peppers. The calamari has a thin layer of breading is never too chewy. The flavor of the peppers resonates my taste buds in each and every bite. My all time favorite steak at any steak house is the Porcini rubbed Delmonico steak with 12 year aged balsamic vinaigrette that is reduced and drizzled on the steak during grilling and drizzled on top after plating. I always get the steak medium rare and its always cooked to perfection. Keep in mind this is a 22oz bone in steak so plan your meal accordingly. If this is not the best steak at Capital Grille please tell me what is because I have tried almost everyone. If you want the best get the Delmonico and you will not be disappointed. As far as desserts the cheesecake is where its at. If you have enough room for dessert give it a try but most of the time I am already tapped out after the steak. Oh yeah by the way the valet is complimentary, make sure you tip the nice drivers accordingly.

This was one of the best dinners that I have ever had in my life. This place deserves 5 stars without a doubt in my mind. The attentiveness of the staff and how they put their personal touch in the service that they provide, really put this dinner over the top. It was our anniversary and birthday and the Capital Grille made it extra special. When we arrived, there was confetti, a rose along with its petals sprawled beautifully on the table. In addition, they gave us TWOHANDWRITTENCARDS from the staff! What restaurant does that NOWADAYS? As we started eating our meal, we were given two glasses of champagne, completely free. The awesomeness did not end there. The manager, came out to thank us personally for coming and to also congratulate us. Food here was bomb as usual: Lobster Mac and Cheese — I don’t usually order Mac and Cheese but this looked extremely enticing. To be honest, it was the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had in my life. Truffle Fries — this was amazing as usual. Perfectly crispy on the outside with just the right amount of cheese and perfectly hot and potatoey on the inside. DELICIOUS! Porterhouse steak — VERYTENDER and juicy. MASSIVE. Big enough for two people to share by far. Did i mention delicious? Mozarella, tomato, basil salad — absolutely delicious. 15 year aged balsamic vinegar made it sweet, the cheese was not overpowering and everything went extremely well together. At the end of the meal, we were given desert on the house as well! We got chocolate cake and cheesecake with strawberry sauce. Probably the best cheesecake i’ve ever had in my life. This was an amazing meal and it could not have gone any better. The food and the exceptional service really stood out. I am definitely coming back here many more times in the future!

Enjoyed a great evening at the Capital Grille. We arrived a bit earlier than our reservation time, and so we enjoyed wine tastings at the bar. The bartender was extremely accommodating, and we ended up getting a bottle. For the appetizer we had the steak tartare. I enjoyed my clam chowder, but she was not too thrilled about her wedge with bleu cheese and bacon dressing. My filet mignon(medium-rare) was a bit overcooked, but her porcini rubbed tenderloin was delicious, cooked perfectly and flavorful. By this time we were both beyond full, but somehow managed to finish the crème brûlée for dessert. The service was excellent, and overall we had a great meal. I would have given 4 stars, but appreciate the great service from start to finish and complimentary valet parking(a very rare treat in LA) so much, that I am giving 5 stars.
