Holy crap. Lived @ 840 S hobart for 2 years. Water was shut of at least ten, if not more, time during our stay. During the week. How are people supposed to get ready for work? Erin in the office is fantastic and friendly. Herlinda was nice to us at first probably just to sell the place to us but for some reason she became extreeeemely rude and cantankerous toward us as we continued to live there: We were good tenants. Rent due on the first by 6pm. My boyfriend got home late from a school meeting literally 5 min late and their door was locked. We got a late fee and a 72 hour eviction notice unless we paid asap. I’ve never lived ANYWHERE that didn’t give you a 5 – 10 day grace period. Unless you are on the top floor be prepared for noise from all directions that you can’t do anything about. We put a carpet remnant in our kitchen and living room to soundproof the floor. Bathrooms leave something to be desire. No storage space. Closets are worthlessly tiny. Maintenance guys are super nice. No parking in the lot and if a space opens up its $ 75/MO and shared with another bldg down the street. Dumpsters always full, people constantly leaving large furniture by them. People take stuff out of your washer/dryer before its done. Always loved the people that would take the elevator to the second floor. People cramming tons of people in tiiiiiny studios and 1 beds. Ya, not much nice to say. Oh yeah, the keys and locks suck for the gates and main doors. Security buzzer does not work so be prepared for LOTS of car honking. Also for moving or unloading groceries, picking/dropping people off… the loading zone is ALWAYS parked in.
