Tacos Don Hugo

I must say I was very disappointed with the food last night. In all the meats lacked seasoning, flavor and needed about 5 – 10 more minutes of cooking. The rice was still crunchy wasn’t fully cooked. The horchata was served in a baby size cup. It tasted old and was nuke warm. Overall unfortunately I will Not be returning there as a paying customer.

Me and my boyfriend stopped by here on a Wednesday night we each got one taco they were soo yummy so we got another he got a burrito. We ended up getting 6 tacos total and 1 burrito between the 2 of us they were so good Great service friendly clean and good food what else can you ask for?

No longer worth asking price. Tacos are now served on mini pre made tortillas, they used to be served on regular sized hand made tortillas, that’s not worth 2 bucks. Meat is now pre cooked and held in warmers, it seems like all of the cost/​time saving strategies are well in place. Want meat with your tacos? Don’t come here if you do. The main cook and tortilla making lady are no longer employed here and the quality has definitely taken a major hit. I ordered an «alambre» which only a few weeks ago was served with a ton of meat, easily enough to warrant the 7 bucks, it was about three tacos worth plus some grilled veggies. This time it was mostly greasy onions with three to five morsels of what I think was meat, what a bummer. It’s a shame the people running this truck are ripping people off, trying to make a quick buck and burn locations out… what assholes. Thank you Unilocal for allowing consumers to warn others of scam artists. Photo is of taco when they were good.

Best taco truck! I wouldn’t just say a good taco, but an excellent gourmet taco is what it is. Very high quality meat. I don’t like fat and I tend to find fatty meat at every taco truck but not at this one. Also Great people with great service.

Amazing tacos for $ 2. My faves are al pastor and asada. They are never overcooked, the quality of meat seems to be fairly good, the tortillas are handmade, they include generous avocado and even serve Meyer lemons instead of lime. The only thing I don’t like about TDH is that I can’t have them whenever I want (all the time) and I will forever compare other tacos to these which makes enjoying other tacos challenging. Thanks Hugo and crew for your delicious tacos that always hit the spot!

I really dig the food here, I drive all the way from Reseda to get here. The pastor is yummy. They also have alambres, mulitas and more. They cabeza is delicious as well, but it must eaten hot it does not taste good. Highly recommended for people in search of more authentic Mexican street fair, provecho!
