Ok, I’ve waited a bit before writing this review to see how the company supported their work. I had them put up 30 panels for me with 2 inverters. The first guy they assigned me to was not responsive, but they got rid of him quickly and then I worked mostly with Olaf and his crew after that. Let me tell you, Olaf is fantastic. It’s a long story but I had purchased panels and inverters from another place and then called around to get someone else to install it. I thought I would save a few dollars by doing it that way. Well the guy I bought my system from got a number of calcs and the drawings wrong. They even missed the fact that they sold me an array that was not compatable with my electrical box(they told me it would work with my existing system) and it required me to upgrade the panel. At any rate, thank goodness for Olaf and his crew. He really helped work everything out with the city(the plans I purchased elsewhere did not meet Los Angeles specs) and went above and beyond what he really had to do since he didn’t sell me the panels or the inverter. Then since installation I have had random problems. For example today the city came to read the meter and mysteriously the solar wasn’t working when they left. I called Olaf and he got back to me within 30 minutes and walked me through troubleshooting. He was able to help me fix it over the phone(texting actually). This is months after he finished the job. His tech guys are also great. After the job, I had them add in an outlet that allows me to get power out of the panels if the grid goes down(most systems today if the grid goes down you might as well not even have solar panels). At any rate, his tech guys came in and did a great job. Then they noticed that there were some exterior ethernet cables hanging around, so they put them in conduit just so it would look nicer and be safer. Most people would charge extra but they just did it so it would be safer and to code. Not nickel and dime’ing you for little things really shows how much they pride themselves in their work. I trust people who take pride in their work and in keeping their customers happy even after the job is finished. Obviously this company gets high recommendations from me if you are considering adding solar(which we all should be given what’s going on in the world). Thanks SK Solar for all your help!

Hi so this is an addendum to the review I wrote previously. I’ve had some bumps along the road with SK Solar and maybe I should have gone with a smaller outfit. But Olaf the sales manager has gone out of his way to try to make things better. The solar process can be difficult so it is important to really trust and like the company you work with. Make sure they re the right size for you and that the person who sells you the systems will be around and very present through all the stages.
