The soups aren’t the best… The wonton was pretty much inedible. And the shrimp on my salad was old and peeling. Won’t be coming back

If you want to wait for 52 minutes on bland food, then order from this place. I have never in my life had a bad experience with take out until I had the misfortune of ordering here. We ordered roast duck over rice, pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp, spicy fried rice, and rad na. The duck plate was mostly rice with maybe 4 pieces of meat, pineapple fried rice tasted old with literally only two pieces of shrimp and the bland really dry pieces of chicken, i couldn’t even taste the rice in the spicy fried rice(how is that possible? it was just bland spicy flavor) and lastly the rad na was watery instead of thick consistency. Do yourself a favor and just order from another place.

The bomb pad thai. Overall way better food than other Thai joints in the area. Very impressed and I am becoming a regular :)

Honestly a pretty solid Thai place in West LA. I no longer have to cross the morbid 405 to get to Westwood Thai! And yes, the traffic really does affect where I want to eat. This place is a cute little restaurant that’s hidden near Santa Monica Blvd. Pad Thai — One of the better pad thais I’ve had and the tamarind sauce was strong in a good way. They didn’t provide lime, but this didn’t even need lime! This dish comes with shrimp and chicken, but I’m fine that they only gave like two pieces of shrimp since I’m not a huge shrimp person anyways(and I can’t complain since it was pretty cheap and delicious) Pad See Ew — Not a huge fan of Pad See Ew except this one place in Claremont, but this wasn’t too bad. It was very soy sauce-y. These dishes were only $ 7.25! SOCHEAP compared to the other thai restaurants in West LA. Would definitely come back when I’m craving Thai food :)

If you’re looking for some authentic, cheap, and all-around amazing Thai food, Siam Chan is the place for you. I first found out about Siam Chan when I had a food craving during finals week. After trying it a few times through delivery, I finally decided to go in-person. First off, this place is d-e-l-c-i-o-u-s. I know living in LA, especially on the Westside, you have a lot of options for Asian cuisines. This hole-in-the-wall is definitely a hidden treasure in Santa Monica. They have a wide range of different Thai options and offer very fresh appetizers. The cream cheese wontons are my personal favorite, but almost anything on the menu would make my heart skip a beat… and my stomach. The staff are really friendly and inviting and the atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a hole-in-the-wall. tl;dr — Take a trip over to Thailand and come eat at Siam Chan. Decent prices to feed those hungry stomachs.

I really like the food here. Very small place and not fancy at all. But great food and service. Try the red curry chicken… and so many other dishes look delicious. Nice staff too. And I love that they deliver.

Ordered their pad thai and siu mai for delivery on Eat24 and was kind of grossed out by the quality. That pad thai was pretty sour and a little too sweet for my taste, and the siu mai was crunchy and flavorless. Will most likely avoid this place now.

Worst Chinese food. Cheaply made, zero taste — threw out both dishes we ordered. No one would touch the goopy mess of orange chicken which did not contain chicken!

I feel like I’ve finally gotten to a point in my life where I can easily determine good Thai food from total crap. Thai has been my go-to for a reasonably quick bite for the last few years. And me, being a creature of habit, almost always get the exact same thing: cashew chicken. Which I what I did here, at Siam Chan. It’s a modest little restaurant, with an adequate amount of seating and little in the way of style. This lack of flavor also extends to their food. My cashew chicken dish’s hero was fatty meat, probably thigh or really, really cheap breasts, along with bland vegetables and a dearth of cashews. Whatever spices there are just blend together and firmly reinforce that, yes, this dish is ultra boring. If Panda Express did Thai food, this is undoubtedly how it would taste.

Don’t order delivery. Took twice as long even though delivery location was 5 min away. Received food late and was cold.

I really enjoyed my delivery from here! The order came less than an hour. I order the pad Thai and it was pretty good! They gave a generous amount of shrimps and the portion was great. The noodles were slightly over cooked though. The tom yum was my favorite! I loved the mushrooms they gave in the soup and it wasn’t too salty at all. The prices are good and the food is good. I’ll be ordering soon again!

I love this place! I live a few minutes away and always order to pick up on weeknights when I am driving home from work. They typically take 10 – 15 minutes to get my order ready and are always very friendly. I don’t really understand these negative reviews — I have been ordering from here A LOT in the last few months and ALWAYS love my food. It’s not gourmet, but it tastes good and the flavors are authentic. By far the best item on their menu is the Tom Kha Kai with chicken — I get this almost every time and it is very well priced and well portioned. Definitely a must try!!!

It was good for what we were looking for on a late Tuesday night — Thai food delivered in West LA. Cons: the food itself, however, was a little bland. The pad thai seemed to be missing some spices, and the veggie fried rice needed a lot of soy sauce to taste decent. Pros: the delivery guy was super nice, and their customer service good too.

I’ve been here twice. The first time friend and I got some flat noodles and the spicy eggplant. It was some of the best thai I’ve had, and I loved that it was a hole in the wall that never seems too busy. And is cheap(IMPORTANT!). The second time the quality seemed to suffer and was more like 3 stars. But the waitress was nice and the food came out fast. I’ll try again to see if the second time was just a fluke. But I still like the energy and selection here. It was a satisfying meal nonetheless after happy hour.

I’m quite confused as to how this place has more than one star. I ordered from here last weekend the food was terrible. The vermicelli fried rice noodles had LITERALLY three pieces of shrimp that looked questionable. The bbq beef was tough and dry. The pad Thai looked like it was doused in the cheese packets that come with a box of mac and cheese and the chicken was gray. I was super disappointed as the reviews seemed decent. Avoid this place unless you want to waste your money and have explosive diarrhea.

I was in the neighborhood and noticed this unassuming Thai restaurant. I’m usually open to trying new places and hadn’t had Thai food in awhile. The place isn’t fancy or very big, but several customers came in while I was there. I tried my usual dishes including panang beef, yellow curry chicken, pad Thai, mee krob, and tom yum gai soup. The soup lacked the usual strong lemongrass flavor that I’m used to. Everything else I thought was very good. I liked the consistency of the curries. I didn’t think it was too thin. The pad Thai noodles were wetter than some other places which tend to have drier noodles. Each dish had generous portions of meat. I noticed there’s a location on Venice in Mar Vista. I’ll have to check out that closer location when I feel like Thai food again.
