Sergio’s Tacos

Looks and tastes just like their location on Vail and Olympic (down the street in Montebello).
Does have better parking, drive thru and indoor seating too. Although today I just did the drive through. The service was quick so don’t worry to much about waiting, at least not around 01:30.

6:33pm 5.19.19– i praised this place and would come here often but I officially had thee worst experience and will NEVER go back; I have no idea who was working the drive thru but she was unbelievably rude, my apologies for not having a Spanish accent but I’m pretty sure anyone can figure out what one is trying to say if they ask for an el pastor taco regardless of how white-​washed it may sound, yet she repeatedly said «escuuse me idk what that is» and sent us to the window then rolled her eye and smirked as is we were idiots. Now again I know they have a sign that says they ID if u pay with card and I’m not saying it’s her fault but I have been here multiple times and forgot my ID because I didn’t grab my purse I just grabbed my card and ran out to get food for the family this happened to be a time I forgot my card but her rude reaction is what completely killed my love for Sergio’s she rudely said «um give me back the drink I won’t charge you because I need to see your ID — smiling «really if I stole someone’s card I wouldn’t go buy $ 13 worth of food I kick it up a notch you rude beeeotch, karma is a dear friend of mine so may you be blessed with what you bless others with.

Sergio’s tacos have been my family’s favorite taco spot since I could remember. They’re located right outside their resteraunt ‘Sergios Tacos’. Their service is the best, they get their orders correct and we have never had a problem with them. They even give us extra tacos after busting 20+. They’re very fast and ready! Good food. I got the two taco platter and an extra taco. I was happy with the food and the service.

Iv seen & past by this place about 100x since I take Garfield to visit my Granmum in Monterey Park.
Today we decided to try this place for the 1^st time .
We ordered
Super Nachos w/​Pastor
Quesadilla w/​Pastor
And a Pastor Burrito.
Agua de Pina & Jamaica.
Spent about 26 $
Ehhh not bad price over all.
We also got sides of Lemon
Salsa Verde (Green) & Roja (Red)

Kinda ok Chips a bit stale Pastor DID NOT TASTE LIKE PASTOR for a moment I thought they gave me Asada but in fact this was pastor Avocado Sauce was ok over all very Bland.
I used the Salsa Verde for this and it didn’t help @ all Very Watery Needed more Jalapeño Salt and Cilantro taste…
Quesadilla Had a very Decent amount of cheese I would say more cheese than Pastor. Over all ehhhh not bad
Aguas were really Good both !
Last & most important the Pastor Burrito
We almost didn’t even care for it since we had alrdy had the taste of the Pastor in the previous Entrées
But we went for it. Ehhhhhh

½ Way I remembered the Salsa Roja
Alrdy disappointed I said What the hell CNt hurt !
And I tell u one of the BEST salsa Rojas Iv had
It was SPICY ! Which is what u want !
On the Burrito it Just made all the difference !
Very good Salas Roja which is y I gave 3 not 2 stars !
If they worked on Seasoning things Better, Fixed up the Salsa Verde.

Apparently previous post said this place was better b4 I wish I had tried it way earlier but it is what it is.

Hope they Fix these small details that it would make all the difference.

The food quality here has slowly gone down. The tortilla for the tacos are not warmed, the sopes are soggy, and the meat comes in huge chunks with fat all around it. After a year of being in denial, I realized this place is not the same. Won’t be coming back here anymore.

Don’t get anything here but the carne asada burrito!!! The best burritos in LA! Trust I’ve tried them all. King Taco still has the best tacos but Sergio’s burrito wins. Sometimes they do put a lot of fat in the burrito and it isn’t chopped right. Which really upsets me because I don’t end up eating half of it. But when they get it right it’s amazing! Give it a try.

Love them bean and cheese burritos but dear God almost $ 5 for some beans and queso… I’d rather travel down more a bit to lupes on 3^rd Street and pay $ 2.75! A MUST TRY

Ok reviewing this place based on the tacos I ordered
Asada, al pastor, tripas, buche. The asada is actually not that bad it’s pretty good. Al pastor is bland. The tripas soggy and not that impressed by them. The buche tasted kinda weird and it wasn’t that good. If ur just ordering asada it might be worth a try but wouldn’t try any other of the meats I ordered. The green salsa is ok not bad but not great and the red is not that good either idk what some of these reviewers are talking about it being great.

Love the food here. True Mexican flavor. It’s hard to find Mexican restaurants that have great salsa but this place has it all including the great salsa! And their menu has something for everyone! My whole family loves this place and we come here at least once a week cause that’s how good it is.

Avoid if you are into customer experience! Came in at around 9:30am. The cashier had a ‘cara de caca’ (stink face), like she is hating life right now. Customer service is huge, and you failed. It’s not rocket science, get it together. When I taste my food, we will see if my star (s)/feedback change.

Would not recommend.
I ordered the all meat burrito, I paid extra for all meat but was disappointed. First all they gave me was all fatty meat and it was not even cut like they threw one big piece. Second it was the smallest burrito I’ve ever seen!
I wish I could tell you how it tasted but I didn’t even eat it since it had so much fat.

What happened to this place it used to be good, where to start. This had to be the worst burrito I have eaten! To start off the tortilla was cold and hard, like the last one in the bag that you forgot you had in the back of the fridge. Second how much dry under cooked rice can they put in that skimpy burrito. The beans, I can’t say anything bad about them… because they forgot to put them in the burrito «what the hell». The onions had to be as bad as McDonald’s, Burger King onions. Here’s a percentage of what was in that thing of a burrito.

Salsa 0%
Onions 10%
Asada 10%
Cilantro 5%
The flavor of the burrito was horrible, dry and unseasoned asada, rice tasted if they used catchup instead of tomato sauce. The one bright thing about this place is the agua de piña. I will not come back to this place again, the food got worse over time and the price got a higher.

This place needs better employees, literally most of the time they will get your order wrong! I always ask for no rice in my burrito’s and it’s like if i say extra rice, and I’M
so tired of it, i tell everyone i know to never go to this place.

Al pastor tacos + bean and cheese burrito = happiness. They say you can’t buy happiness, so just order the tacos and burrito.

I don’t understand the bad reviews because this place is very yummy! I’m a mean pozole critic and this one was amazing!

Taco Sunday! Taco anyday, anytime! Drive thru was pretty packed so what’s a hungry group of people to do? Dine-​in! Plenty of tables to eat and staff was pretty friendly, we had no problems for it being a busy day. As for the food, tacos and a carne asada torta were in our hands, especially our fingers. So yummy and greasy the food makes your fingers shine :)

I had such a horrible experience lately, that I’ve decided to avoid this place from now on. The quality is always consistent, but their approach to service makes the hardcore corporate eateries of McDonald’s and the like seem so more palatable.
It may seem stupid, but they want to charge you $ 0.50 extra for 1 additional hot sauce in the drive-​thru. If you eat indoors, you can literally complete the bottle with no second look. For some reason however, they refuse to alter this «golden rule». I understand if I order 3 tacos, that 3 hot sauces may be extreme. But whether I order 5, or 10, that third hot sauce is still $ 0.50 extra.
I tried to explain the ridiculousness of this, especially since I’m there every two weeks, but I was speaking in vain. Its just a bummer that I could have a $ 10 bill, or a $ 20 bill, and either way they want to charge for that additional fee.
I’ve now downgraded my review to «use this as a last resort, because others will at least treat you better».
PS. The parking is absolutely atrocious.

Definitely not the same quality as before. The meat is so tasteless now (carne asada) and they add less meat on tacos and burritos but charge a whole lot. No bueno.
I still LOVE the horchata from here so I’ll come in for that.
