Fast food Mexican. That’s exactly what it is. It’s good and the combo meals are a GREAT deal.

I ordered a bulo burrito, my husband ordered the reef burrito and my mom ordered the chicken soup. I loved the bulo burrito, but asked for the Aiole sauce on the side. My husband thought the reef burrito was bland, but adding the Mr. Lee sauce changed his mind. HEWASSWEATING! LOL Moms soup had barely any chicken so she was disappointed. She said the flavor was good, but she only had two chunks of chicken. Get sauces! They are tasty!!! And the staff is super friendly and helpful! EDITHWASTHEBEST! She deserved a raise!

Here’s another review for wahoos. Today I tried the kale Kai salad, which didn’t seem to have kale on it. Which is fine, because kale makes me sick, and in Europe, is considered to be unfit for human consumption. They feed it to cattle. Either way, I enjoy that they have gringo bandito, and am surprised more places haven’t caught on. Pepsi products is a nice touch. The only complaint is that since it is a fish place, everything tastes a bit like fish. Even the asada. I say, get that fish $&@! out of here!

Better than the Brentwood location, I went against my instincts, and got the power salad! The lettuce was crisp, the brown rice was properly cooked, but once again wahoos is stingy on the meats :(

Needed something quick, but healthier than«fast food.» Three of us, and we all had something different. All good! Thanks, Wahoo’s!

For the longest time, I’ve had fantasies about their fish bowls, with the rice, with a lot of the green salsa on it. Sometimes I would get the Mahi Mahi. Sometimes I would get the wahoo fish. The rice was so flavorful and I would mix in the beans. Dang. I used to inhale their food. I would beg my friends to go with me to Wahoo’s. But I don’t know what happened to this place. It sure looks the same as any other Wahoo’s with the stickers everywhere. But I don’t know if the recipes have changed? It seems like the fish portions are smaller. The rice isn’t as tasty as it used to be. You used to be able to get as much of the green salsa as you wanted, but now they ration you off. So what happened? I don’t know, but I do know that it wouldn’t bother me if I never came back. And that’s a complete 180 degree turn from how I used to feel about Wahoo’s. I guess that when you can take the restaurant out of Orange County… the flavor stays in Orange County.

This is the Wahoo’s I like the best. Parking is free & the parking lot is easy to get in & out of. I like that I know some of the employees whose names are Laura, Quille, & Teo. I always like that Quille knows that I like the ceiling fans on high speed. I think Wahoo’s is one of the restaurants that serves the best fries. This Wahoo’s not only is bigger than the one in Pasadena but has a better layout. I’ll be glad when I get to come here again because I’ve waiting to go here.

Came here a couple times because of the free coupons the fish steak chicken and shrimp are all bad the chicken tasted like rubber and my friend complained that the burrito he got was terrible. If it wasn’t for the coupons I would never come here again

Every time I eat here, for the next hour I am yelling: WaaaaHoooooooooooooo! all over the place. That is what this place does to me. Not sure if it is in the sauce, or the fish, or just the atmosphere, but I can’t stop: WaaaaHooooooo! I would have given them a 3.5 if there was one, but not prepared to give a 4. Not a bad tasting meal Entrée #1: the Spicy Fish Taco(hold the white smelly arteriole), ½ black and white beans(I don’t discriminate), and Brown Rice – sorry whitey! Waaahoooooos is the Subway of Fish Taco’s – expect to pay $ 7+ up to $ 10 for your Waaaahooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Free 45 min parking lot in front of the store. I usually come here when someone gives me coupons.

Met a friend here while in LA for a conference last year. We sat outside. The food was fresh and tasty. I’d definitely return.

I hate writing bad reviews – I really do! I really like Wahoo’s but after multiple attempts over several years at THIS location, it’s all gone down hill.(Other locations have been great!) At the Wilshire location, my very simple order is seldom correct, the food quality is less than impressive for the prices they charge and the female staff behind the counter are getting increasingly rude – even though I’m always polite and order with a smile. I’ve worked in restaurants and in customer service and I know a little friendliness can go a long way.(FYI ladies behind the counter, just because I have blue eyes and fair skin doesn’t mean I don’t understand Spanish and the nasty name you called me the last time I was in). Horrible experience. I won’t ever return to this location and I hope no one else does either. There are far better places to have lunch in the area.

As a follow up to my review, I had a rep from Wahoo’s contacted me asking me if I’ll give it another try with a $ 10 gift card. Fast forward a week later, I received 2 $ 5 coupons in the mail with a «dine-in» only restriction and a «one certificate per transaction» limitation. I’m sorry, but this place has just been one bad experience after another. You’re trying to con me into coming on more than one occasion and there’s a difference between a gift card and a coupon. Food is incredibly average. Customer service is unacceptable. If you’re going to do it, do it right. Never. Again.

Rotting lettuce in my salad… Not sure how else to continue this review… I don’t understand restaurants that think they can get away with giving subpar level food on take out…

I used to go here during my lunch breaks. If not for the close proximity, I don’t think I would be going here at all. They have decent size meals and it is edible. However not much excitement. This place has pretty friendly staff members and lots of seating. Inside and outside. It’s just average food. I got the nachos and fish burritos quite a few times. They hold me over till dinner.

I’ve been going to Wahoo’s Fish Tacos for years, and every visit has always left me very satisfied. What Wahoo’s Fish Tacos offers is great fresh Mexican American food for low prices, generously sized portions, and a laid back friendly service to go along with everything. The décor was similar to other Wahoo’s(an overall surfer vibe with walls plastered with surfer and Wahoo branded stickers) and the interior of this particular Wahoo’s was fairly big; probably able to seat 30 – 40 people. The staff was extremely friendly and very professional and the overall dining experience was casual and peaceful. I ordered a grilled fish Banzai burrito platter, which comes with your choice of white or brown rice and black or pinto beans(*brown rice is extra), a order of french fries, and an Cajun fish Outer Reef burrito for the lady. In all, our total rounded out at around $ 21, which was reasonable since the portions are fairly large. The Banzai burrito was fresh and delicious, not overly seasoned, and significantly healthier than your typical fish burrito. The beans and rice are always spot on, both seasoned with a touch of salt and possibly some other seasonings, and the french fries were golden crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, sprinkled with a touch of Cajun salt. My girlfriend was also satisfied with her Outer Reef burrito, emphasizing that the Cajun fish added a nice kick to the burrito. You can’t go wrong if you go to Wahoo’s. Most if not all of their menu items are fresh and made to order with quality ingredients, and at under $ 10 your wallet will be happy that you went to Wahoo’s. To good eatings: D

They were mopping the floor. Is that sanitary while making food? It’s 6:58PM, you’d think they’d wait until closing. The kitchen was flooded with chemical water. The staff weren’t friendly like the Pasadena or West Wilshire location. I’m a fan of Wahoo’s just not this location. I’ll never be back. No offense to Pasadena or West Wilshire. This place should close down.

A fast food Mexican restaurant that I never heard about, but my coworker pointed it out to me to try. With it being basically a fast food joint, I had rather low expectations. Sometimes its nice to have low expectations to have them exceeded. I tried two tacos, one fish and one vegetarian. The Fish Taco had a corn tortilla, cheese, cabbage, and grilled white fish. I expected dried out cubed pieces of fish, but found nicely grilled fish that was still juicy and had a s ma ll charred grilled flavor. I should also point out its nice to see corn tortilla shells instead of flour. Vegetarians, you have a pretty tasty taco here, so feel free to join your omnivorous friends. The Tofu Taco came on a corn tortilla with lettuce and Polynesian marinade sauté. They use extra firm tofu so its not mushy. The star here is the marinade that sweetens the taco making you lick your chops. Its fast, simple, delicious, and accommodating.
