Sensi Nails

This by far is the WORST salon I’ve ever been to! I went in today for the second time and this was the final draw!!! I came in for a fill in and gel polish. First the male tech was extremely rude to me and kept insisting that I didn’t get my nails done with them the first time when in fact I did. He then proceeded to tell me he would be charging me extra to file off the gel. He snatched my hand and increased the drill to full power and burned my nail. I told him that it hurt and he started a different finger and did the same thing. He jumped up and said he didn’t want to do my nails and he asked a female to do them. He then went in back. Closed the door and u could hear him snoring all through the salon. HOW RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!! The salon was dirty and disgusting. Two employees were eating right on salon floor the food smelled awful!!! This was my last time. I will never go there again!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY and time and go elsewhere!!!

Love this place Tom always makes sure my gel acrylic is on point! The shape and everything I never have issues with them. I get compliments after 3weeks of having them on. I highly recommend this spot! I honestly am shocked at the bad comments, he’s the best…

And if you are looking for Sally or Van they left and are at Perfect Nails on Pico Blvd (the shopping complex with Subway and David’s Bridal). Peter also left and is at a nail sail in Hollywood.

Ladies, there is basic rule for going to nail salon: you want high super excellent service, you need to loyalty. It is true that I am going to this place for almost 10 years, but it is important to mention that they have taken care of me and earned my loyalty. I have received compliments for my nail and toe polishes, because they have spent time to make sure they were perfect. I totally recommend them specially for gel polish.

Great designs and technique. Colors are great but if they don’t have it just ask, they’ll get it. Park on the side street if you don’t want a meter or in the back because they have a few spaces.

Dirty restroom, found bugs on toilet seat, if you tell the manager you will no longer come to this place all he will say is he doesn’t care

I’m extremely particular when it comes to nail salons.
The main things I dislike:
Lack of parking
Lack of colors
Lack of space in the salon
$ 1 charge for using a card
Cuticle lotion isn’t used
Not a full hand massage with the mani
Cold water used for mani (c’mon!)
It’s a very small place and the layout is somewhat awkward.
I like that Carl was very thorough with cutting my cuticles. He was firm, but gentle. Besides the quirks above, it’s an ok place. I would come again, just not often. I expected more for the area.

Inexpensive and nice staff!

This place is my favorite nail shop in L.A. The service is amazing and the family that runs the place are amazing people. The prices are very reasonable, they get you in on time and they do a great job.

I scheduled an appointment yesterday for 9am today. The nail tech had not arrived yet. Okay no big deal. I went next door to get a coffee to fill the minutes. I returned to the nail shop to find that she arrived. Great! Coffee and reading material in hand, I’m excited! After my nails were done I moved to the spa chair and placed my coffee on the side table of the chair. Moments later one of the male technicians, possibly the owner accidently knocked it over. Yes, accidents happen. Unfortunately he offered no apology nor did he offer to replace my full cup. Wow, really! I’ve been going to this place on and off for the last five years. The work that they do is okay, the prices are consistent with the neighborhood. The aesthetics of the shop are not great. Going to this shop is no longer worth it for me. I’m done with Sensi Nails.

I found this place wanting my nails done before going home so I don’t have to face traffic driving home. First of all, this place is not a state of the art place. Place is small and outdated. However, the staff that works there makes you feel at home. They are friendly and service is great. The shop is run by a couple, they are both equally nice and friendly. I asked one of the staff bout lashes, the advertisement says it stays on for two weeks and the other says a month, that lady was honest enough to say that it lasts bout week. At least she was upfront with it. Anyway, that didn’t happened, besides she told me I didnt need them, that my lashes are long enough. So i just got a medi and pedi and lastly my eyebrows and upper lips wax. The price was cheaper than the one near my home. So definitely will come back again.

Prices are okay. Pretty fast service. Not very clean but they are nice. Technique not the best =(and nail polish selection is horrible. Do to the area you’d think they would carry OPI or ESSIE. Hopefully they will get some soon. I had fills here.

I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over five years, and I finally found my favorite nail place. They take their time to apply at least 3 coats, and all my pedicures have turned out beautifully. I’ve asked them to mix different nail colors for me, and I’ve been really happy with the results. My pedicure lasts at least 3 – 4 weeks.
This place is run by a really nice husband and wife team.

Wow! This place is disgusting and the owners are beyond rude. They opened 30 minutes after the posted time. And the place is just filthy. Never coming back!

The worst nail salon ever! They are so cheap, their job is so unprofessional, they do it so quick and the result is so bad! Don’t go there, you want to pay extra $ 5 and have nice nails. The place is dirty and unhygienic. we made an appointment and wait for 30 min.
I defiantly will not go there again.

I live around the corner. I went there with my BFF for pedis Erev Yom Tov and it was quick and they did a pretty good job. I’d go back.

OMG!!!
Sensi Nail Place (can’t call it a salon) is soo disgusting. The shop is so dirty (literally) there is dust all over the place, dirty dishes, broken spa chairs, towels with holes in them and no sanitizing system. One of the workers has an annnoying kid there (all day), OMG she is in everything. As a customer you want to relax. This kid is leaning over your shoulder the entire time (yuck) or she’s practically in the lap of the nail person… ugggh. Rude staff, old magazine, mix & match torn furniture. Not sure how they have customers.
No checks excepted and they rip you off by charging you to use your credit card.

Had my mom in town from New York to visit and decided to stop here for mani/pedi’s with her about a month ago. Based on our experience I would definitely not go back.
It was a Thursday evening around 4:00pm and the place was pretty empty, but it took about 10 mins to finally get started. One of the women who was doing the pedi was a bit pushy — constantly saying that we «have to come back, so they can have business.» The women who worked there carried on a very lengthy and loud conversation, which wasn’t exactly relaxing. It was also unreasonably hot in there which boosted the chemical smell of nail polish and remover, making it stuffy and a little hard to breathe.
One of the woman’s daughters (about 5 or 6) was there too, which wouldn’t have been a big deal had they given her something to do — like crafts, toys, games, books, etc. Unfortunately that poor little girl had nothing to do and none of the women seemed mind the fact that the girl was literally up in our faces the entire time.
I really wanted to give this place a chance, since it’s walking distance from my apt, but all things considered I would never go here again.

Overhearing a conversation between two nail techs about the end of the world isn’t relaxing for me, so I turned my mani pedi into just a pedi.
Also, they don’t take tips on cards.
