Decent food, Good service It was a nice place to stop in for a late lunch while waiting to see a show in the area.

Pretty nice bar, very swanky. I don’t venture out to drink in Hollywood, but this place was pretty cool, came on two occasions. One for a Unilocal event, then returned with some friends. I enjoyed my drinks and hanging out with my friends, I would come again to bring out of town guests as I did last time, but probably not otherwise, too far for me.

Came here for the Unilocal Holiday party. Very cool venue with high ceilings and lounge type atmosphere. A little hard to find as its waaay in the back of the Hollywood and Highland complex. Huge portraits of many of the stars of the rock and roll era drape the walls. Not sure if on regular night its a club or a lounge… maybe it’ll do better as a lounge with all the other club choices. 3.5 stars

The Unilocal holiday party this year took place at the Rolling Stone. This was my first time here and I was quite impressed by the venue. I loved how the stairs upon entering took you downstairs and it felt like entering into a secret underground club. They had a spacious dance floor and a good sized bar for all of us Unilocalers. Although, before I got to the venue I had a very difficult time locating it. I walked all around the Hollywood and Highland complex and thanks to some Unilocalers was finally directed to the back of the complex. *FYI* It is located directly across from California Pizza Kitchen.

Not sure how I got recommended to the Rolling Stone Restaurant from more than one person. It wasn’t that great. * Very slow service * Mediocre food and drinks * Dead — as in only four other tables were sat at dinnertime on a Sunday. * Bad vibes *Boyfriend got sick from the food The ONLY good thing about Rolling Stone Restaurant was that there wasn’t a long wait to sit down. I won’t be recommending this place or visiting again.

Very nice venue, wonderful lighting, cheap parking in the structure, conveniently located. I can’t say for regular service or anything because i was here for a Unilocal party, but i can’t wait to come back and see how the ambiance is later. the place is pretty and i liked how it’s nicely ventilated too.

Hollywood and Highland, the cross streets of extremes. The restaurant Rolling Stone would be one of the more glamorous and well suited establishments on Hollywood and Highland. The architecture is grand and inviting. Once you walk through the tall entrance, make your way left and down below you’ll see a spacious Hollywood setting. Dance floor, bar, a stage, and a lounge area. The sound system is great not too loud and piercing nor too mellow. Dine here if you want something affordable and lavish or if you want to have a nice spacious environment. I had the best steak and potatoes which was served so elegantly. The pizza or flatbread was awesome, perfectly crispy and thin and no droop and they use the best ingrediants. I also had some seafood dishes which were quite delicious and fresh. The chef does an amazing job of taking ordinary ingredients and combining them to make all sorts of elegant and hardy tasty foods. The staff is all very friendly and accommodating to everyone. It’s very clean here. This is the epitome of a great good for groups restaurants, also good for one on one, but they can definitely accommodate any size party big or small.

Hi RSLA, I missed you so much! Ever since my first visit to you, I just can’t get enough of your food and service :) Here’s what I ordered here last time: Butternut Squash Tortelllni, Dungeness Crab Stuffed Mushrooms(yummy!!) and Cripsy Dry Rubbed Half Chicken. Everything is so delicious here. When I thought this place couldn’t get any better with their food, I was overwhelmed by their friendly and attentive service. They don’t have bottomless mimosa here, but if you just drink water, they’ll make sure it’s always full. My biggest beef with them is the location. Why Hollywood and Highland? Here’s a list of reasons why Angelinos go to H&H: 1. Acting as a guide to friends/families visiting from out of town 2. Watching the awesome production show IRIS from Cirque du Soleil 3. Bowl parking 4. Oscars(really?) 5. Food at RS So I guess if the location tells anything, it’s that they will treat everyone like a tourist, and the meaning — We’ll give you smile if you don’t care too much. Sorry, I happened to be a local. I’m not a native, but I’m a local now. So when I walked in, I had a Bloomspot voucher in hand. Strictly speaking it had expired two days prior, but I called them 1 day ahead and kindly asked them if they still would honor it. The maitre d quickly said no, I asked to speak to the manager who turned out«unavailable» at the moment. So being a smart(censored) I am, I dug out an email I received months ago from one of the managers there in response to a compliment I left on opentable. There was his phone number at the end of the email so I bothered him by asking him directly. I then was quickly assured he «would take care of it.» And it was the second day since the expiration of the voucher, I was ready to use it for lunch which it was intended for. Plus I didn’t come in on a major holiday when they could be super busy. Everything was spectacular until the time to settle the bill. To be fair, I did explain the situation to the hostess upon arrival and she didn’t care about it. What is this girl? You think you’re a metro police taking a report from me as a victim, so as soon as I finish speaking, everyone is expected to pretend nothing ever happened and move on with their lives with no follow-ups or resolutions whatsoever? Well sorry to tell you that’s how they run the government, it doesn’t yet apply to small businesses. As you can see, with some determination, I was honored to be paid a visit by a guy that would really«take care of it» who’s possibly British because the only words he spoke to me were«Let me see» referring to the voucher on my ipad. He never came back to me after looking at it and neither was the bill. I patiently waited there with no service until a waitress asked me «Did the manager bring back your bill yet?» And that, ladies and gentlemen, was when I learnt he was the great manager. I wish I were a little nicer to him had I known he was the manager — who comes up to a customer with death glare and such a great attitude? The server quickly brought me back the bill and I was happy to know the credits on the voucher was reflected, even though it was half of the value. But that’s my fault I considered, for not using it before it expired. But I felt so sorry for them for creating the whole hassle so I tipped back the whole discount they offered me on top of a decent gratuity.(At least my primary server«Zach» if I remember his name correctly was cute…) So thanks to Rolling Stone L. A, I’ll not have to come back to Hollywood & Highland sooner than I think. It just took way too much to deal with you. And from the very beginning, I knew talking to the first manger that sent me the«I would like to personally invite you back.» email would not get anything done. And it read just too similar to a template. Templates don’t always work. And for those of my fellow Unilocalers who may be reading this review while already inside the Hollywood and Highland complex, if you look up to the second floor, there’s restaurant called Trastever, they have great food matched by the same level of service. And they’re open late. Maybe it’s time to add a little note to the management if they ever check this out? 1. I know you hate me for writing this, but the truth is — I hate you too. 2. Did you know that a very recent study by researchers at UC Berkley finds«Extra Half-Star Nets Restaurants 19% More Reservations»? 3. Did you also know I left a tip over 30% the first time I dined at Rolling Stone ’cause I was so impressed?(Not only me, but also my non-foodie landlord who has close-to-zero taste buds.) 4. Sorry for spoiling your«I would like to personally invite you back…» email to other customers, you might wanna consider using a new template or coming up with something more original. 5. If you were wondering why I’m writing such a long review, consider the following word: #YelpBullying

4 stars on the staff and security guards. They were nice and very accommodating to the patrons and that’s very unusual for Hollywood nightclubs. 1 star for everything else…

I was just kinda unimpressed. I mean this place is featured at Hollywood and Highland, so I expected some better quality. The place itself looks nice, has a hip very«rolling stonesy» feel to the place. However everything just tasted like it had been frozen and kinda bland. I had a veggie burrito and my girlfriend had the sesame salad. My burrito was demonstrative of why people don’t like veggie burritos: bland, even the beans had no taste. My girlfriend’s salad just tasted oily, again with a lack of seasoning. The noodles at the bottom were pretty good, well cooked. The one thing I did like was the«make your own bloody mary» sheet. Let you choose the alcohol, the tomato juice, spiciness level, the garnish, the rim, extras(like BACON!). My resulting drink was very well made so hats off to the bar tender. But otherwise, I don’t think I’ll be back.

I had no idea that Rolling Stone had a restaurant until I arrived at my hotel, the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel which is next door, to the Rolling Stone. It didn’t seem at all to me like a Hard Rock. Nothing touristy-they don’t even have a gift shop. Instead the vibe was more like a lounge albeit a dead lounge. At 10 pm on a Thursday there were like 5 people in the place. I went in late on a Thursday night and was happy to see that they had late night happy hour specials. We ordered pretzels with cheese fondue, pizza, and clams casino for $ 5 each. It’s not exactly a good deal for the money-when the food came my sister commented along the lines of «is the other half still cooking?» The food was okay-one step above a Friday’s.

Came here for dinner before heading out to the Cirque show. When you check in you get 10% off, but if you tell them you are there for the Cirque show they up to 15%. Initially we were going to check out the happy hour but the menu didn’t have that many options so we went for a full on dinner. Our waitress was a bit much on the personality end but not too pushy. We started off with some cocktails. I had the strawberry fields and it was stellar! For an app we had the steamed clams and mussels which were really good. Loved the chorizo and the clams were HUGE! Everything was cooked perfectly. For dinner he had the rib eye, which he demolished and I had a half rack of lamb which was sooo good. There was a chimchurri on top that was super tasty. For sides we had the Maple Glazed Brussell sprouts with some bacon. That was such a tasty dish! It wasn’t too sweet, and the bacon added the right amount of salt. The brussell sprouts were cooked perfectly. We also had the garlic fries which were a little more bland than i thought(not gordon biersch level at all but still tasty). Overall good meal!

This is a Lunch review – I came on a Sunday early afternoon for Lunch. They have a nice patio outdoor area in the front. We started with Chicken Wings; they were good. We ordered the Steak and Fries, and Pan Roasted Wild Salmon with potatoes and spinach. They were both very good. I ordered my steak medium and it was tender and juicy. I really liked the décor all around the restaurant. It gave a very rock n roll vibe to it, especially with music playing just at the right level. They have old-school Rolling Stone magazines framed and wallpapers with some of the great rock artists. Service was very good. They filled our drinks before it ran empty. Parking is easy inside the Hollywood Highland center or street parking but read the signs before you park.

This place looks pretty cool. Parking is always crummy so I don’t hit up Hollyhood as much anymore. This place is 2 stories with an outdoor patio. There isn’t anything here that is fascinating other than the fact that its Rolling Stone and they have magazine clip-outs of artists you love. I didn’t buy any drinks but my buddy did and he said they were $ 18 each. I’m not surprised and it doesn’t get me upset anymore when I see prices like that here.

I had no idea that Rolling Stone Magazine had restaurants, not even after I was inside the place. I had just checked into the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel next door after just flying in from NYC and was tired and delirious with hunger. I honestly thought at first that I was in the nearby Hard Rock Café. Oh well, doesn’t matter to me. At first it seems like a half-assed Hard Rock. It has a music industry-heavy décor, but is a lot smaller than a Hard Rock and has no store selling junk and the walls are not dripping with memorabilia. You know what? I liked that. Hard Rock is too much of a tourist circus. I sat at the bar and had an excellent cheeseburger and received great service from the bartender. It was exactly what I needed after a long trip.

Had the amazing Atlantic Salmon w/spinach and a refreshing drink called Whiskey Delicious hence the title«Delicious» cause that it was. Although I would like a more responsibly priced menu with a much vast selection than what they currently have. Portions were on the small side for the price. I would return.

I always worry about trying restuarants named after businesses that have nothing to do with food, ie. Hard Rock and House of Blues. The food in this type of place is generally bad. The food here was actually solid. We started out with the cheese plate. We wondered why it cost so much, until we recieved it. You get quite a bit of cheese. We enjoyed the cheese plate. The honey was a nice addition. I ordered the chorizo flat bread for my meal. It was kind of bland. It did not taste bad, i was just hoping for more flavor from the chorizo. The crust and sauce were ok, nothing worth noting.

Rolling Stone is synonymous with rock & roll. –A publication that started in the 60’s when liberal media and music was history-in-the-making. The Hollywood nightclub and restaurant using the prestigious namesake might have only the name in her favor. But there is more where that came from. An incredible sound system, topnotch DJs and amazing event spaces are just the beginning. World-class lighting, chic furnishings and sexy sumptuous interiors will make you celebrities feel right at home. The legendary rock & roll memorabilia that the Rolling Stone is so famous for resides here. Handwritten summary-of-life quotes from the likes of Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen and Malcolm X. stare at you while you nosh on American fare in the restaurant level. Every time I’ve been, I’ve found a good looking crowd,(gentleman, HAWT girls) great music and good drinks. How do they let me in?!! The Rolling Stone hosts great event spaces for private parties. There are multiple layers, levels, bars and rooms to play with. I’ve been here for several private parties. Always a good time and a good reason to get all dolled up. My most recent trip was for a Beverly Hills school reunion. $ 25. per person for passed horderves.(which didn’t look great). But! They let us have happy hour prices all night long and stay well beyond last call. Very cool. The Pinot Noir is excellent and only $ 5 per glass during their righteous happy hour. But the house red is atrocious. You have been warned. The larger rooms can be reserved for an all-night dance party. Unlike the club scene in LA, a private party here means great music,(thanks for always taking my old school hip hop requests) and not having to pry some pubescent tourist from your backside ladies. :-P I can’t tell you much about the food as I am allergic to it. But I can say that the rooms here are nothing less than what the amazing publication who provided her namesake deserves.:-)

After a year or so of the hype of seeing the sign at Hollywood and Highland I got to GO! Too bad I didn’t get to taste much food. Empty restaurant and they wouldn’t let is pick our table. This is after they asked me for my first and last name for their database. To get a table in an empty place?! REALLY?! The place is very dark and the menu is kind of small. Started out with the cheese popovers. They didn’t taste like cheese at all. meh! We waited close to an hour for 1 entrée that my friend and I decided to share after not being impressed by any of the menu’s $ 20+ «Mains». We went for the osso bucco to share. After waiting for the food for so long, I had places to go. After all, how long could a 4pm lunch go? After finally deciding I wanted out because no manager came to greet or apologize, I ask for the manager. That particular employee didn’t grab them, so my server finally came back then they went to them. If it’s the first week of operations and the managerial staff is unaware of kitchen maladies or that a customer has been waiting for close to an hour for food, you would think they would come over to see if anything was alright. I asked to not pay at that point since I still needed to get food and eat it. He offered me the moon, but at that point, the taste was so bad in my mouth that I had to eat CPK. The snooty manager wouldn’t validate my parking either after I told him that he forced me to order CPK since they took too long. This is definitely a tourist trap for the mindless troves of people that get sucked into Theme restaurants. There’s a reason most are out of business. GETIT?! Save some money and go across to CPK.
