I love inattentive staff! Really thought it was just a little dumb luck so came back for a second night… no better, and arguably even a little worse. Thank goodness a strong rotation of hotel guests can keep this place in business.

I came here with my friend to listen to the jazz band on a Monday night. The lounge had a chill, laid back vibe and the music was great! There were a few guest singers who performed a song or two and the crowd loved them. Most of the tables near the band were reserved, but my friend and I found a place to sit where we could hear the band but couldn’t see them. It was all good because we were able to chat and order some wine and an appetizer. I would not recommend ordering the zucchini beignets. The texture was strange and unexpected. Other than that I will be back for sure!

The Burlesque dancers they have here on Saturday nights are fun. Everything else is pretty standard.

I came here on a Thursday night for a mixer with a bunch of LA-based alumni organizations from several different colleges. My friends and I had a great night at Riviera 31! It had a cool, posh French lounge vibe, complete with lots of mirrors and décor in deep purple, maroon, and black hues. My first drink was their Veeva lemonade cocktail, and it was VERY weak. It was too sweet and not that good. I decided to go with my usual Corona for my 2nd drink order… you can never go wrong with Corona, am I right? We also had some of their bar bites: a flatbread and the trio of fries. Both dishes were great and hit the spot! Their bar food options are nothing spectacular, but they are tasty. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Riviera 31! The music was right of my alley — deep house and some downtempo electronic(can you tell I like the Sirius XM Chill station?). The service and the space were both awesome. It’s the perfect place for hanging out, date night, and special events!

The best lamb meat balls and Curry couscous in Los Angeles The Monday night vibe is really euro and cool with amazing live jazz. Dress up since it’s a little on the fancy side Excellent service!!! I would sit in the patio area or the lounge although they have a more limited menu I also recommend the cauliflower steak and the tuna tartare

Came here for Halloween. Drinks were great, but I would definitely not come back. DJs played hip hop mixed with electronic in BOTH rooms. Mixes were horrible and ruined the vibe. Samba music was played earlier and that was nice, but since nobody knew how to dance the samba, the room attracted all the drunks who had no idea what they were doing. Was expecting good music at the very least, but I could not even dance for more then two or three songs. Wish I could get my money back. Brought a group of friends and we were all disappointed. Left early, valet was a ridiculous $ 30.00. I do not recommend going to this event.

I went to Riviera 31 on Friday, October 9th2015, with a group of friends. We just went there to hang out and have some drinks, since we wanted to go somewhere else afterwards. It wasn’t difficult to get in since there was no line and since the bar was mostly empty. I decided to go with a cocktail made of vodka and raspberry lemonade, and I ended regretting that choice, since my drink came out incredibly weak. I was literally unable to feel any alcohol in there, only the sugar from the lemonade. We also decided to get some food since some of us were hungry and we ended up choosing two pizzas. They were both good, but with little toppings on them, and definitely not worth the price. The atmosphere in the bar is reasonably nice but the music definitely caters to a very specific group of people. Parking will be challenging in the area, but it is possible to find street parking, particularly if you come at night. Overall, my experience with Riviera 31 was rather negative and I would not recommend it. Feel free to message me for any additional details that you may need!

Trendy and chic with a variety of well decorated areas to sit or stand. It’s on the pricey side but that’s what you get a places like this in LA. Staff could have been a bit more friendly and helpful, but overall, it’s a very cool place.

This place is centrally located across from the Beverly Center. They have pretty good bites and little cabaret shows on Saturdays. I’ve had their tomato burrata salad, forestine flatbread(very good) and crème brûlée cheesecake. I also had their zuccini beignets — which were recommended by our server– not a fan!

The best. Anna and Joyce? Please. These two beautiful, vivacious and witty personalities alone make this bar worth a visit. The drinks they create, even more reason. I only wish I spent more time in BH. Philly and Cinci will never be the same. Anna, quite the strawberry basil… See you before too long! TPL

Honestly??? Too loud for a hotel bar /and any health dept. Crappy music DOESNOT get better the louder you play it! Too off mainstream music for any club… Too empty for an hotspot on a Saturday night… This is a perfect bar for sociopaths that don’t have a lot to say — because the music is too loud /and who don’t care about their looks, because, clearly, patrons show up here in flip flops and flat sandals.

Venue itself is a solid 4 stars . It’s a nice place to grab drinks and lounge with a nice patio area. Also, good to have parties. The place was PACKED by 11 and the crowd was 99% middle easterners Bartenders and staff were nice and drinks were good, but seriously overpriced. My manhattan was $ 21(bulleit rye), old fashion $ 19(makers) The food is TERRIBLE. Do yourself a favor and eat before you come or you’ll leave to go get food like we did.

More of a ‘Meh — I’ve experienced better’ type situation when it comes to their ‘gourmet’ tapas style bites. Savory foods were pretty lousy and way overpriced for two bite portions, though their dessert and drinks stood out. For one, if you’re going to title a salad as ‘Crispy Duck Skin Salad’ make sure there are visible traces of the actual product listed in the title. The frisee and farro were topped with a poached egg and little to no dressing. The slippery wet texture of the egg and greens just didn’t mesh together whatsoever, not to mention bland flavors with no trace of duck skin — major disappointment. Lobster Corn Soft Tacos — Polenta Crêpe, BLT, Crème Fraiche, Pickled Radish, Grilled Lemon, too much going on. Bacon flavor overpowered the dry grilled lobster. Roasted Garlic Mushroom Flatbread — Garlic Purée, Mushroom Medley, Lardon, Truffled Arugula. It was edible but felt more like a barely topped cracker bread light snack. Charred Brussel Sprouts were probably the tastiest simple app of the night. But how could you eff that up? If you’re a foodie you might want to steer clear of their ‘tapas’. What rocked were their Trio of Desserts — Crème Brûlée in Vanilla, Praline and Chocolate. Had the perfect crisp layer of torched sugar which was fun cracking into to get to the warm cream. Flavors and textures were wonderful. As for cocktails, absolutely LOVED the Grace — Camomille infused Veev Acai Liquor, Quince Paste, Fresh Lemon Juice. Just amazing! Slightly floral, fruity and sweet. Very unique flavors which I believe would be popular amongst the ladies. Piaf — Fig infused Dickel Rye, Averna, Cynar, Walnut Bitter. Also good but stiff, felt more like a man’s drink. If you’re a fan of Jack & Coke I would recommend this drink as an alternative. Interesting clientele. Not my scene. Waitress seemed absentminded. Drinks & Dessert: Thumbs Up. ‘Tapas’: Hire a new chef. It’s funny how PR tries to lure clients in with little fibs such as ‘join us for a live performance featuring the Gypsy Kings’, leaving out important keywords such as ‘Tribute Band’. Lying is unprofessional.

Monday night’s My favorite night of. the week. This is where you find hidden talent. Ask for Anna to make strawberry basil martini. She makes the best. Went to many bars in la and here with Anna you will get the best strawberry martini. Best jazz in town.

Just a cool spot. I’ve been here for birthday parties, parties, get togethers, drinks, just hanging out, meeting friends, etc. When the music is going, you can get your dance on! Cool spot and good drinks! Nice location with Valet parking and tons of taxis if you need them. I haven’t been here for the Sunday chill, but that will be next! Just chill and cool.

2014 Unilocal365CHALLENGE — 110⁄365 Came here for some sort of event my friend had tickets for where we print out vouchers to receive a free drink and enjoy the night between 7 – 9. We got there at 7:30 and it was already pretty busy. When we got our drinks from the bartender she told us we are supposed to turn in our vouchers to somebody running the«event» and get drink tickets. And the drinks we just ordered didn’t even qualify for the free drink. So I paid for that round and we proceeded to look for this person for 45min. No body knew what the event was, nobody knew who this person was. Bartender and manager both said it was all pretty disorganized so we just hung out and mingled until 9:30 and left with our vouchers… Oh well. Around 9 they had a guy with a guitar sing some songs but by then it was SO loud in there, it just added to the noise level and he was singing sad slow songs that just wasn’t the place for it. Overall, beautiful lounge, outside seating area, and nice sofas but pretty crammed around the bar and the disorganization of this event was lame.

I went here to meet a friend and her close friends. Luckily I did not have to pay cover since one of the friends had connections with the doorman. The crowd was strange. Older men leering and younger girls dancing. There is a great outdoor area which has semi private cabanas which would be nice for a summer evening. Bar service was prompt and nondescript with 2 drinks costing $ 30. I wouldn’t go back it was completely unmemorable.
