The food is gorgeous and the taste is phenomenal nothing but the freshest ingredients are used. The staff is courteous and pleasant. I give Pita on the Vine 5 stars

Ordered the Unilocal special which is a gyro wrap with a soda and the meat was moist and not tough at all. Also ordered the grape leaves which were pretty dang tasty as well. Since my order was over $ 10 I also got the free side of hummus via Unilocal check-in. My entire meal, the gyro wrap, the grape leaves, soda, hummus, AND pita bread(which came with the hummus and grape leaves) was a little over $ 13. Can’t argue with that.

I went here ONLY because of good reviews. Don’t repeat my mistake! Those reviews are FAKE! I was the only costumer on Friday at 8pm. I ate worst beef wrap in my life. Meat was not fresh, extremely dry and disgusting taste. The pita was dry also and had too much onion inside. I literally threw ¾ of sandwich into trash…(((

We order delivery from here on a fairly regular basis. Portion size is good, delivery is always on time and the garlic sauce is the best in town!

I’m not from the area, but was in this part of Hollywood right about lunch so I hit Unilocal and decided between 2 high rated places like 5 blocks from where I was. I went for Pita, cause I love good mediterranean and this place looked great. I ordered the combo with chicken, beef and lule shish, pita, hummus, salad, a can of soda and a piece of Baklava. Total bill 18.14 — pretty steep for that. The chicken was mediocre, the lule was so bad I didn’t eat it, the beef was good quality meat with decent flavor but undercooked. Hummus is my jam but I barely even wanted to eat theirs. It was so flavorless, worse than grocery store stuff. Pita was straight grocery stroe stuff too. Garlic sauce wasn’t good either. The whole thing was a big disappointment. Next time I’ll drive the 8 mins to Zankou.

Man, dude couldn’t figure out his stupid credit card machine. Walked up the block to pull cash out of the ATM. Came back and it was working, he just didn’t have paper in it. Couldn’t charge back, so he had to give me a billion ones because he charged me 3 times. But whatever. The food was meh. Combo plate had okay seasoning, but the protein was chewy. Way too much trouble for bad food.

Stomach pain, nausea, bad garlic breath, and feel like all my body is very exhausted! This is not my own feelings: It’s all my pals’ as well who eat with me chicken shawerma at this place yesterday!!. The chicken was truly solid, seems very old and inedible, not favorable at any way. All of us didn’t complete our sandwiches and the extra one we bought was sadly given to a homeless man who I really feel sorry for him because I’m quite sure(by now) that he’s gonna have these symptoms. I swear I won’t return to this one ever. Avoid at any cost. To feel starving is much way better than feeling sick.

I came for the gyros and I thought it was good with a large portion. The pita bread was warmed and good and the meat was in large proportion compared to the veggies. The place would be perfect if the seating and location was better.

Every time I eat here I get sick to my stomach from the bad combo of greasy, low end food and hostile, self righteous customer service. The health department needs to perform a thorough inspection of this place — just glancing at the back reveals poor handling of uncooked meats and a filthy bathroom too close to the food prep counters. Moreover a good chunk of the 5 star reviews seems suspicious.

I brought my lunch to work today — vegan noodles from lassens. So of course I went over to Pita on Vine and got some lamb skewers to put on it. This lamb is so good. Lamb makes all vegan food better.

This is seriously good Mediterranean food! The Gyro wrap with tasty lamb, is delicious. Also Love the Lula Kebab. That tzatziki sauce with red onions and cucumber is so light and refreshing on the palate. They give you huge portions and lots of food. There are a few tables inside and out, but it’s more of a take out place in my opinion. Huge parking lot, so you can run in to pick up your food. Just be aware that you will pay Hollywood price. The owner has just jacked up the entire menu by a dollar. Worth it if you happen to be in the area…

Not a phenomenal gyro as hype led me to believe, but decent food for the price. 3.25 stars. Pita on Vine is a Lebanese fast food restaurant. I asked the cashier how Lebanese food differs from, say, Israeli, or other non-Lebanese Mediterranean food, and he assured me wholeheartedly that the entire menu, with the exception of say the Greek Salad, is LEBANESE. But other than some funky spellings here and there(e.g. «hummos» instead of «hummus»), I honestly couldn’t figure out what made the food Lebanese. Regardless, I went in at 6:30pm on a Saturday, and had the WHOLE place(well, all 2 tables and the counter) to myself. Usually a bad sign, but the food wasn’t as bad as this would suggest. I checked in for a free bowl of hummus and pita. They are not stingy with the hummus, and the pitas were served out of the oven, having a warm, pillowy texture. Unlike previous reviewers have mentioned, this is certainly not the best hummus I’ve had; it’s pretty simple in taste, with just the slightest hint of garlic; but for the price, it’s not too shabby. The vegetables are fresh, and the tzaziki sauce is light while still being flavorful. The meat is where it becomes hit or miss. I tried both the lamb and the chicken. The lamb was decent, albeit a little salty. The chicken was dry. Like, LA drought dry. I’d recommend staying away from it, and trying some of their other varieties. I mentioned prices are good. We’re talkin’ wraps ranging from $ 3.50 — $ 6.00. And I found a small to be filling enough – like a Chipotle burrito flattened out a bit. To think I can get full on decently fresh food for around $ 5 is a comforting thought. For non-wrap enthusiasts, they also have plate entrees that hover around $ 10.

I really really wanted to love this place, but I can only say it’s just ok. Their chicken is pretty bad. I’ve had both the chicken shawarma and the half chicken plates on 2 separate occasions and both times, the chicken was so dry, I had to take a drink of water to be able to swallow it. Very over cooked, dry and tasteless. Like trying to swallow sand with twigs. Maybe their beef is better??? I’m not sure. They are extremely nice and clean, so I wouldn’t not go here, but I do not recommend getting any chicken. The rice is good, but I’m 90% sure it’s just Rice a Roni. Haha. If you get the salad, be aware they are very generous with the onion, so be sure to either ask them to go a little light on it, unless you just love onion of course. Hummus is pretty basic, garlic sauce is good. Polite employees. Decent prices.

Our order is 10 minutes past the later end of the delivery estimate and we live only 2.5 miles away. Where’s our food? :/Will update when the food gets here. – The fries are soggy because they took so fucking long to deliver the food. 1 hour and 40 minutes to deliver 2.5 miles. Really. – Food finally arrived and I am INCREDIBLY unhappy. I’m actually getting angry… at food. +gyro meat is actually good! Only get gyro if you order delivery. Might be the only thing they didn’t completely screw up by delivering super late. –chicken shawarma wrap tastes like a wet towel, with pickles –where the fuck is the extra house spicy sauce I ordered for an extra $ 0.75?! Seriously the cherry on top of a shitty delivery experience. –pita came unwarmed in the commercial bag –soggiest, greasiest, and most tasteless«spicy garlic» fries I’ve ever had(I asked for«hot» spiciness) I’m so disappointed. I’m sure the food would probably taste better if it were fresh, rather than over 40 minutes late. It’d probably sat in a bag getting soggy for those 40 minutes. Or longer. Go to the actual restaurant if you want the«highly rated» experience that the rest of the reviews rave about. Personally? I don’t get those and I won’t be ordering from here again. Would rather skip lunch than waste any calories bothering with this food we received.
