Bought a full Roulette Cake and after I ate only one small slice, it tasted horrible and i felt a little sick after a while. That was my first time purchasing in this store. I have had many Roulette cakes before but this one tasted very funny. Maybe it had gone bad or something. Will never buy from this store again. I have requested from the owner to take the cake back and eat it himself so he can see what I’m talking about.

Asked the very kind server what she recommended and loved everything. Both drinks, Persian tea and latte were great! And for dessert we enjoyed the napoleon. Authentic vibe, feels like you’re in Iran for the moment! Will be back.

Tiramisu, crème bruelee, cheesecake cake. Those are the best. Best tongue sandwich. Their fruit desserts are sub-par. The crust they use doesn’t taste right. Cream puffs are good as well.

Very good Persian/French style pastries, cakes and desserts. Quality is as good as it gets for none-dairy. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is amazing when compared to the prices they charge. They have large cakes that are pre-made from Fruit tarts, to mocha cakes to tiramisu. They have cakes of all shapes and sizes and they also make custom cakes. No one can beat the value here. I highly recommend this place especially if you want to take something nice to a dinner party that’s different than the typical bottle of wine. It’s also very nice to come and get a fancy pastry and Persian tea or coffee and sit outside and enjoy yourself after dinner. The service may not always be the best but that’s because they are soo busy. They are human and they try. Highly recommend!

Service sucks! You have to order desserts immediately when you step into the shop. You can’t stand around thinking what to get or else they will give see you as homeless begging for desserts! And no questions about anything!

I have been going to this place for many many years, it’s the best bakery in LA hands down. The staff are always friendly, the cakes and pastries are always delicious. There are always many choices for cakes and cookies. We always order our bday cakes from this place. I should have taken few stars off for all the weight I have gained from this place, but I didn’t have the heart to do it :)

Had sushi dinner nearby and dropped in here for some dessert pastry. Disappointing… chocolate cake and chocolate raspberry cake slices were dry, dry dry. Eye catching dessert displays… everything«looks» good but that doesn’t necessarily equate to freshness. I suppose its hit or miss depending on what catches your eye… the«surprise» cake slice wasn’t bad — at least it was fresh and moist tasting. Maybe the question to ask is «what is fresh in the dessert cases?»

The selection here is endless. From beautiful cakes, we are talking real show stoppers, I have already told my husband my next birthday cake will be from here! cookies, baklava, sandwiches and breakfast, they have everything your heart could desire! Prices are more than fair and service is fantastic! They validate parking for 20 minutes in the lot right next to the store, so very easy in and out. I went with a fruit filled florentine(the miniature version of the cake I want for my birthday) and it was as tasty as it was beautiful! The mix of crunch, chewy caramel, chocolate and fresh fruit was everything. I will have to come back to try more, this is one of the best bakeries i have been to in awhile!

I love this Persian bakery! I found out about it through a Farsi class I took at UCLA and I’ve loved it ever since. The first time I came here I ordered an éclair and a fruit tart. It honestly wasn’t that good but a classmate brought in a huge box of a variety of their traditional Persian cookies and I went gaga over them! I kept reaching in for more and one of my classmates made fun of me for eating too many. I decided to take my family to Orchid today after lunch at a Persian restaurant in the neighborhood and they loved it! It’s exactly as I had remembered it from before. The Napoleon is to die for! It is gooey with the perfect amount of flakiness. All of us got our own and every single one of us loved it. They have four different flavors — custard, regular, raspberry, and chocolate. We ordered the custard and it was so delicious. I highly recommend it. I also made sure to order a plate of cookies. Every single one of them was so soft and chewy. I loved the flavor when typically I feel like Persian cookies are too dry. And they were sweetened to perfection. If you are looking for an authentic Persian bakery that has a wide variety of desserts I recommend coming to orchid. There is a lot of space if you come with a group and there is outdoor seating if you’re with a friend. I hope this place stays around forever!

I had been to Pink Orchid once before and remembered it being pretty good. I was excited to return tonight because Persian bakeries are usually delicious. Tonight, however, I was a bit disappointed. The pastries just did not taste fresh. Plus, there were tons of desserts left on the counters so I’m guessing they will still be sitting there in the morning and tomorrow’s customers won’t get fresh pastries, either. The coffee and teas, on the other hand, were pretty good. Next time, I guess that I will stick to the drinks and avoid the desserts.

I discovered this place while finishing up dinner at Taste of Tehran. I like how this place offers a lot of variety(dessert, smoothies, drinks, nuts, ethnic pastries, etc) but the things that I tried didn’t taste that great. They have cute cakes but nothing great. I got the cheesecake and I think it was hands down one of the driest cheesecake I ever tried in my life. The cream cheese part was crumbly dry. I also tried the baklava. It was pretty tasty but it was my first time trying so I didn’t know how to judge. I want to come back and try other things though. Maybe the smoothies and drinks. Solid 3.4 restaurant.

I came here for breakfast today with my mom and grandma. Street parking is easy to find in non-peak hours. Cute place if you’re lazy to make your own breakfast. I can probably make the same breakfast and tea with barbari bread, but we wanted to get my grandma out of the house a little and go someplace close by in Tehrangeles. The Armenian breakfast pizza(I forgot the name) is basically a freshly baked mini pizza without the sauce. It was tasty buy a bit too doughy for my taste. I had the Persian omelette, which was very good. I like that they have the option of white or wheat bread. ALWAYSCHOOSEWHEATPEOPLE. IT’S BETTER! My mom ordered the spinach omelette as well and when ordering, she asked the lady if the spinach was fresh, and she replied yes. But when I tasted it, it definitely was not. Why lie people? Not cool. Hot tea or coffee comes with the meal which was a nice surprise! Meals are decently priced & ambiance is cute, nothing too special. Since I’m moving to LA permanently in a few short weeks, I’d consider coming here for a quick bite for some dishes that I don’t know how to make or for some cute pastries!

I know very little about Iranian pastries. When I think Middle Eastern pastries, I think Baklava and mint tea. That is about as far as my culinary knowledge goes on the topic. Thankfully, I have friends that like to share treats with me. My friend brought a box of pastries from Pink Orchid to share and I took the opportunity to sample everything. Unfortunately I do not remember the names of the pastries I tasted except to say that I really wished that I had some tea to sip on with them. My friend agreed and said that these pastries are meant to be nibbled on while drinking tea. What I could remember about the pastries were that they were more like cookies and flaky. They were light and flaky with bits of cream here and there. Some of them had hints of saffron running through them. It was new and interesting and none of the cookies were sweet which was something different for sure. While I did not fall in love with anything specifically, it was a fun little tasting and I believe only the beginning of my exploration into Middle Eastern bakeries. 3⁄5

I love this place! The staff is great. I ordered a Persian tea + pastry. Why I like them: — yummy tea — yummy pastry — nice social atmosphere(the customers are so happily involved in their own conversations) — the staff is sweet and they joke with you I love going to places where I feel like I’ve traveled a bit out of town and I’m in another place.

The pastries and desserts here are bomb. I’ll usually stop by here and get this one cake called the rollet(in Farsi) and it’s always nice and fresh and the cream inside isn’t too sweet. Sorry I don’t know what it’s called in English. The sandwiches are all pretty good too. The tongue is good, the kookoo sabzi is real good too. Its a pretty small place and people get there coffee and pastries and pretty much chill all day. So it’s not easy finding a seat. You gotta try there fresh fruit juices too. Delish!

Review for baklava only– phyllo and nuts and honey are coming out of my ears, y’all. $ 7 or $ 8/lb for all the baklava permutations galore. Oh score!!!
