Located on the left side of Pavilions is their bakery department. I’m not sure why exactly it has a separate Unilocal listing, but I guess for people looking specifically for cakes or cookies it makes sense. I have not really tried anything from the bakery, despite going there. My husband is a big fan of their danishes, but the ingredients include soy flour, to which I am allergic. So if I ever get to sample their baked goods, I will be sure to come back and update my review. I will say I love the store in general. As the other reviewer said, they have Panda Express and Starbucks. Last time I was at the Starbucks they said their coffee cake was just fresh and so I got some. Maybe they always say that, or maybe it had just come out of the oven, I dunno, but it sure was good!

This Pavilions is small, but they had one of those upgrades so that a lot of their bakery section has dark, yet warm wood colors. I always like that. They have a Starbucks inside, which is always a plus and a Panda Express, which is a typical Panda Express, but is a nice option when everything is closed at the Lot on Sundays. I’ve enjoyed the soup bar before, my favorite being the cheese potato soup. My favorite thing about this particular Pavilions is that you can get ice cream cake here. I’ve worked at two studios in the area and for some reason, I always end up being the one who has to get the birthday cake. I’ve never liked supermarket cake. So one time I splurged and spent the extra few bucks to buy an ice cream cake, because hey, who doesn’t like ice cream cake. My office went crazy for it. I guess it’s because it makes adults feel like little kids. Usually you can get ice cream cake at 31 Flavors or Cold Stone Creamery for twice the price and half the size. Here you can get a ¼ sheet for about $ 26. Plus I love that the bakery person I spoke to actually understood what I meant when I talked sheet size. You expect the staff at a supermarket wouldn’t be invested enough to know terminology of their specialty, at least I do because it happens all the time. It was nice when I was calling them to inquire about cake size that they actually knew what I was talking about. I know that I’m going a little crazy about the ice cream cake, but if you’re like me and you have to buy cake all the time, then get it here. I bought two ¼ sheets(they don’t have a half sheet, uurgh!) for a birthday and people went cuckoo. The guy who had a birthday the week before was given a full sheet from an expensive bakery. He looked at the cake I brought and looked sorrowfully as he said, «No one ever got me an ice cream cake.» People asked where I got it and I told them Pavilions. The next birthday, someone else had bought ice cream cake from Pavilions. Which is awesome for me, because now I’ll be able to eat ice cream cake more often at work without having to buy it all them time.
