Love this coffee shop! Larchmont is such a cute area and this place is worth the trip. Its a spacious yet cozy two story brick coffee house with a giant chandelier and eclectic seating upstairs, more wood tables downstairs, and lots of outside seats too. It is a great place to work with your laptop(free wifi that is easy to log into!) if you can find a seat. I come in the late afternoons and have to look around for someone leaving if I don’t want the communal table but it always works out. The coffee is good not amazing but their scones definitely live up to their name! So good — lavendar chocolate, yum! I want to try their meal food sometime too. I have found parking on the street both times I have been here.

Great place to study in LA when you have some down time or when you want to get some work done. There’s so many great spots to sit outside as well as inside the café and upstairs as well. I got the lychee oolong tea and it was delicious! Not too much of that«tea» taste and you still get the slight lychee flavor throughout. I was so sad that I couldn’t try the scones there, but they all looked amazing! Green tea scone looked especially delicious. The cashier recommended the lavender white chocolate. I was definitely eyeing the new york cheesecake in the display behind me but i resisted because i was still full from lunch. I will definitely be back here. One thing that’s great is that there’s street parking that you don’t have to pay for beside the café.

A good place to work and get quality tea/espresso? I’ll give it a shot so I headed out to larchmont to see for myself. The atmosphere is like a funky library café designed by Parisian bohemians from the 1920’s. I had the champagne rose tea, most black teas can be heavy, but this was a mild black tea with subtle notes of rose that were refreshing on the palate. The real star of the show was the«matcha green tea white chocolate» scone, it was delicious and this is coming from someone who doesn’t much care for scones. The scone was moist and the texture just right, while the white chocolate chips provided a burst of sweetness. Didn’t have any espresso drinks this time. Bricks and Scones is worth your time and the tea is a step above most high end cafes.

Met a friend here over afternoon tea for two. We split a pot of the champagne rose tea and two scones. Both equally delicious and perfect for a long overdue catch up sesh. I love this place more for the clotted cream and jam they serve with the scones!

This place has to be my favorite café of all time, which is quite a statement from someone who spends half their life in coffee shops. Perfect for working, studying, hanging out, reading, drawing, getting your creative juices flowing, and catching up with friends. The interior is cozy and not pretentious, reminding me of mixture of a library, study room, and a homey living room. Coffee quality is always reliable and the scones are a must get(try at least one!). I tried the Rosemary and Thyme(?) scone and I was surprised by how delicious it was. Anyways I love this place and the parking is not difficult to find.

Wonderful coffee and friendly, prompt service! This place is charming and their fare is delicious with a great assortment. My friend got a chai tea and a croissant, which she twisted my arm to try, and it was fluffy and buttery and so full of yum! I ordered a caramel macchiato which had such a rich, creamy taste. I definitely recommend a stop here!

I come here to study every once in awhile, but it gets crowded really fast and there isn’t always much room inside. If you come early in the morning, you can probably grab a good spot to get some work done. It’s usually quiet and people are respectful so I’m usually pretty productive here. They have 2 parking spots behind the building, but theres only one entrance going in/out, and it’s a struggle to get your car out of the lot since its so tiny. The spots have never been even been available whenever I’ve looked, so it’s really not worth it to check. Theres a good amount of street parking, or free parking around the residential areas if you’re willing to walk a few blocks. I used to be really impressed by their food(the drinks are whatever), but the last time I went I got the mango curry chicken sandwich, and it was TINY. It came with a side salad — I enjoyed the dressing, which was tangy and sweet. It was $ 11(including tax). For the price I was disappointed… I could have gotten a much better sandwich at Mendocino for the same $.

First review of the year!!! I absolutely love this place. It’s such a gem that is hidden in Larchmont. The scones were delicious. I got the pot of earl grey tea and two scones(green tea and rosemary/fig). The Rosemary fig reminded me of the rosemary crackers at Trader Joe’s. They were fragrant and delicious. I was a little disappointed with the tea though. I couldn’t taste the earl grey at all. It just tasted like black tea. But in their defense, I think I confused them by changing my order. It may be that it was my fault. Oops. My friend ordered the Hong Kong Tea. I was expecting more of a milk tea feel, but it just tasted like English Breakfast Tea with milk in it. It lacked uniqueness. Alll in all it was a great atmosphere to study and hang out. I would definitely come back. My only con about this place is the seating is limited and lacks back support. HAHA(I’ve come to THAT age).

I wish I could come here every day. With plenty of tables inside and outside as well as free wifi, coffee and food, this is the perfect coffeeshop to study or just lounge around for the whole day. There’s only street parking and the neighborhood looks more like a residential area, so the outside looks like a large, old house. The interior is very comfortable, with a large chandelier hanging right above the counter and a curved staircase leading up to more tables upstairs. My boyfriend and enjoyed our affogato and sea salt caramel latte upstairs. The affogato had a very healthy dollop of vanilla ice cream with the espresso, and it melted quickly so it tasted more like coffee ice cream. I think they were a little too generous with the sea salt in the sea salt caramel latte, so the balance of sweet to salty was thrown off. That’s the only reason why I’m taking back one star… I want to go back already to read a book and try all their food and pastries!

Bricks and Scones is like STUDY heaven! If you are a student who is looking for a quiet space to study alone or a person who is just looking to get some work done away from home, THISISYOURPLACE! Virtually every space inside(upstairs and downstairs) has been converted into a study with several desks, tables, and lamps. Everyone is studying inside and it really makes for a great atmosphere. Sometimes I find it difficult to snag a ‘comfortable’ spot but comfortable is subjective and you can always move once someone else gets up to leave. They offer an array of tea, coffee, and pastries for purchase. I also think they offer some salads/sandwiches because a lot of people were having lunch outside on the patio. Best of all, they have FREEWIFI! The only issue that I have is that they don’t have a lot of parking. If you aren’t lucky enough to score parking in the back, you will have to park at a meter and go out to feed the meter every 2 hours. This was a complete pain. But so worth it :)

Had the B.L.A.T sandwich for brunch both times I came here to study. Very quaint, cute space with decent wifi and plenty of outlets(even outdoors) and a mean coffee. Interior is very comfy and has plenty of couches to curl up with a good book(or textbook). Very good space for studying, though it does get crowded occasionally. Quiet space, has a bathroom/nice baristas, so you could basically stay here all day. There’s an artist who sits at the entrance that often draws passerby(thought this would be worth mentioning).

Their décor is reallly cute, and this place is def cozy. It has a library like silence inside which is good for studying; most of the people inside are. I tried their vegan tomato soup and got sourdough bread added for a buck. It was yum… Also had a croissant which was good but not my fav. Downsides to this café are there is only street parking and very few spaces in the back. Also, the internet was reeaaally slow for me and i constantly got kicked off. This defeated the purpose of why I was there in the first place… To find a good spot to have a light snack and work on my computer on the web. Thus the reason why I prob won’t be back :( Other than that, this place is great.

Quick tips: 1. Parking options There is a parking lot but it is teeny tiny and accommodates only 2 – 3 cars. Opt for street parking(bring quarters) OR residential parking(a nice brisk walk). OR go on a Sunday with free street parking(yayyyy) 2. Check out upstairs. It’s a bit more private and quiet for anyone wanting to get work done with minimal distractions. Highly recommend this place for studying! You get a choice of indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of outlets to charge your laptops, tablets etc, and to top it off, all the baristas are so sweet and make a mean espresso! If you’re hungry, fear not! They offer a good variety of sandwiches and pastries so you won’t fall into that hangry trap.

I’m all about going to new coffee places for a solid cup of espresso. The ambience here is probably one of the reasons I would come back here. The patio has plenty seating if you don’t want to sit the midst of people clicking away on their laptops indoors. The latte is quite alright. Not the best I’ve had but still good.

I came here for lunch with a couple friends. Their parking lot is tiiiiiiiiny so I ended up finding street parking about a block and a half away. Street parking is pretty good in this area so I wouldn’t consider parking to be an issue. You order at the counter, where there is an extensive menu displayed on the walls. It took me a long time to decide what I was going to get: P I ended up getting their curry chicken salad, but with no olives. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the menu and they don’t have one online, so I cannot tell you what else was in the salad! It was pretty good though. I was on a no-wheat diet at the time which is why I opted for the salad rather than the sandwich. My friend JL got an iced coffee along with their matcha white chocolate scone, which sounded awesome! I even cheated on my diet to try a bite of it. Sadly, it was dry :(Neither of us cared for the scone. Our other friend got a sandwich, but I do not recall what kind. I think he said it was just okay. The interior of this place looks really cool and seems like a great study location. As a result, we were forced to go outside to the patio, which was fine since the weather was nice and the tables are all shaded. Overall we found the food to be just okay, so I doubt I will be coming back. But it seems like this place is more popular for their coffee and as a great study location, so I would recommend checking them out for that.

I like the atmosphere and the food is pretty good… But the staff is very unfriendly and the prices are very expensive. Every time we come here, the staff is very unwelcoming and slightly condescending. A lot of eye rolling, long sighs, and generally unhelpful. Once we witnessed two of the baristas arguing in front of everyone.

4.5 Stars if I could — I would give this place even 5 stars, but the internet is so slowww when theres a lot of people and honestly, theres always a lot of people here because its AMAZING. It is by far my favorite place to study in Los Angeles and I have nothing bad to say about it. From their wonderful service, quite atmosphere(perfect for studying), amazing selection of scones(best scones I’ve ever had), great food and drink options, I really can’t rave about this place enough. *Parking: there is metered street parking available(free on Sundays), but if you just go into the residential area, there’s parking available, so its really not an issue at all.

With its free wifi, abundance of power outlets and seating galore, this wonderful coffee shop in the Larchmont area is a quite oasis where you can get some work done or just chillax. All the usual coffee and tea stylings of a Hollywood coffee shop without the wild prices. My large latte was under $ 4! They offer a variety of pastries and sandwiches. If I ever find myself needing to kill some time in the area this will be my go to place. Parking: plenty of 2 hour, metered, street parking til 6

It’s a pretty quiet place to get some work done, though you do hear occasionally loud and obnoxious conversation, it passes quickly. People tend to have to vulture around to get a spot inside, especially with outlets, but others are very kind and have no problem about sharing their table. We were lucky enough to find a spot just as someone was leaving, so the table was not able to be cleaned beforehand. In fact, the tables aren’t cleaned frequently with the constant traffic, so it’d probably be best to avoid this place during flu season. It’s sort of confusing where you leave your dishes after you’re done, but it seems like a self-service place since there are grey service bins you’d see at food establishments to collect dishes. Otherwise, the girl at the cashier was also kind enough to take the dishes back. Moving on, I went with the cashier’s recommended green tea for my latte with almond milk. When I went to pick up my order, I had to ask the barista which cup was mine, to which he responded that both were the same. A bit unsettling that someone had just happened to order the same exact tea with almond milk, but perhaps it’s a common choice here. The green tea latte seemed watered down, but the bright side was that they don’t sweeten your tea or latte without your knowledge like other places do. This was ok and went well with the slightly sweet Lavender White Chocolate Scone that they heated up for me. The scone was crumbly and crispy on the exterior and a bit dry inside. I actually quite liked it, though I could taste the oil. Prices are steep for what it is, but considering that people are still willing to come here for a study spot, Bricks & Scones have nothing to worry about. It does get quite stuffy in here and you’ll find a nice cross of Ktown and LA bougie, but I got my work done in peace and that’s all that matters.
