The actual restaurant was closed when we went, but they were serving the same food in the dining area of the hotel. Classy atmosphere, good prices and convenient as we were station in the hotel. Food came slow, but the Smoky Sliders were really good.

The service is awesome, very high level. However the food I ordered today is not really good! The creamy Shrimp is too salty. Fortunately, the beef sandwiches are perfect!

So I asked for Banana pancakes like I ordered yesterday. What i received was buttermilk pancakes and a banana. They were still good, but I was a bit disappointed. I also ordered my daily fix of coffee. No real complaints. The food was still delicious.

I gave them another chance. I came back to the hotel for additional spa services(which are great). But once again, they have major service issues. I used their phone again, to place my first order(beverages only), I was told to go get my credit card, as I wasn’t staying at the hotel. I put the phone down, walked the distance of the pool to get my card, came back and realized that I could just give it to the server, instead of reading it off over the phone like I’m having a pizza delivered? Then it took over 20 minutes for a soft drink to be delivered. I don’t get how a single beverage can take that long? My friend showed up awhile later and I ordered beverages and food(for my friend). Based on past experience, I asked if beverages could be brought out first, and was told«no, they cannot be.» I haggled with him for a minute and asked him to please bring the beverages out first, as we had less than an hour before our next appointment. I later felt justified in doing this, as it took 30 – 35 minutes for the sushi rolls to come out. The manager did send me a private message about my previous experience. He apologized, but didn’t offer me anything for the poor experience(I wasn’t necessarily looking for anything), and based on this recent visit, they *still* have major service issues. And they still include an automatic gratuity. So, I’d return to the hotel for spa services. But I won’t order anything poolside. I realized on this recent visit that you are effectively using room service when you do that, and you are paying for room service prices, as well as room service speed(which can be really slow). Its disappointing that a hotel this nice can’t have quality food and beverage services by their spectacular pool area.

The hotel has a really long name, Intercontinental Los Angeles Century City At Beverly Hills; however, this is the review for the lobby lounge only. Nice and quite lobby lounge. Service is wonderful. Great selection of draft beer and whisky. However, the kitchen closes at 10, and the all day menu is less than desirable. Why can’t you make your Kobe Hot Dog after 10pm, is that such hard thing to do? And yes, they do serve ramen, but I’m not gonna touch on that. TIP: Free wings with Unilocal check in with draft beer purchase! And the check in is a two-fer at lounge and the hotel~!

My wife and I were staying at the hotel and came here here for happy hour. Our waitress Brillana was amazing. First off the Happy Hour menu offered amongst other things truffle fries and a slider for $ 6 each. After ordering one each, she came back and said on the regular menu 3 sliders and truffle fries were $ 12, The same price as the one slider and fries we ordered and did we want that instead?. Ah yes. Then my wife didn’t prefer here drink. She said that I had liked it though. She swaped it out no problem and left the drink for me,“so as not to waste it”. One of the drink specials, Prosecco and Aperol, was unavailable because they were out of Aperol. We asked if they could do a Prosecco and Campari instead for the Happy Hour price and they did. Brillana was very attentive and always had a smile when speaking to us. Later I ordered 2 rock shrimp tacos that needed some color, like cilantro. The food was not as exciting as I would have expected. The few drinks we had seemed good, nothing brilliant, but good. There was a duo singing and playing guitar at a pleasant level. You could still here each other speak. They took requests, played well and had nice voices. All and all a decent place to visit for drinks and such especially if you don’t want to leave the Hotel.

I came here after a relaxing day at the spa. I was told by a few people that the new menu was great and what a better way to end my day and yes its was convenient, I was already on the property at the InterContinental Hotel. I was greeted by the friendly hostess. I pretty had my pick of where I wanted to sit, the restaurant was empty. I thought that was a bit odd considering it was lunch hour and tons of businesses around. But that was fine for me because I usually like to avoid the lunch rush. ATMOSPHERE4.5STARS I like to décor. It matched and gave the feeling of any nicer hotel. One room with white linen cloth. The other with dark wood. Chairs and seating is super comfortable. Bar/lounge area was nice too and tons of people working with their laptops having drinks. FOOD5STARS I had sushi since I heard so many great things about the sushi. Let me tell you, you forget about top grade sushi, if its been awhile since you had it. All sushi salmon, yellowtail, tuna, albacore and shrimp all like butter. So good. The plate I ordered came with spicy tuna and california roll. I usually don’t eat that much california rolls, but this was so good. Fresh real crab. It was great. PARKING Its valet only. Not sure if the restaurant validates, but I was coming from the spa and got my validation there. SERVICE **2STARS! ** Hostess gets 5STARS Um, yeah. So the hostess seated me and I settle in. It was about 5 minutes or longer, in an empty restaurant, for someone to greet me and offer a beverage. SIGH. Unacceptable for an empty restaurant and especially if you market yourself as a nicer or luxury hotel. Unacceptable. I just had water and I informed the buss boy that I had a limited amount of time for lunch since the process of getting a beverage was about 15 minutes. SIGH again. He understood and said let me get your server and let him know since he understood my limited time. That took another few minutes, in an empty restaurant. BIGGERSIGH. The server comes out bypasses my table and straight to a table he was already tending to. Even better, they’re having a conversation about food other menu items on and on. Still have not been greeted by him. No joke. He finally made it to my table and did not apologize for the wait. Nor did he address that I was in a bit of a hurry now that it has take about 20 minutes to get to that moment. This would never happen at The Peninsula or at Four Seasons. Never. So my food finally comes out and I asked for my bill right away because I was not sure how long that process would take. Then, I see the server run to the same table he was having social hour with. Thank G-d I had enough cash so I did not prolong the process. The only bummer is that I would have to leave him a 25% tip. BTW, he never made it back to my table. Oh and to justify that I was not imagining the situation. The hostess even came by table within the first 15 minutes and ask if someone had even come by. She even felt horrible and refilled my water. I also know that me having only an hour to eat, like most of America that’s on lunch, but sans 20 minutes just to get the server to me is NOT a ridiculous expectation. When your hostess notices that service is not up to par, its pretty bad. Oh and no apology from the server. Bottom line InterContinental, you can change the menu, you can change the décor, you can bring DJs in, you can do all the promotion in the world, but if you do not have the proper service in order, it WILLREMAIN to be an empty restaurant during lunch hour. Its just a shame because it could be such a great place. Other thing, I do like the small plates and yes its a great option. BUT, your international clientele might want other options. Just saying. I would love to return, but not to experience the same thing. Maybe I’ll try the lounge instead and give the bartender the tip instead of the substandard server in the restaurant. Get it together Park Grill

Unfortunately, this review is not at all based on the food quality, because try as I might, after 4 attempts, I still couldn’t actually confirm a reservation at this restaurant! Attempt #1: called number I found on-line for the restaurant. It was actually the voicemail for the intercontinental hotel’s executive chef. He didn’t take my reservation. Imagine that. Attempt #2: called the intercontinental hotel. They patched me in to the restaurant hostess. The hostess put me on hold for 18 minutes before I finally gave up. Attempt #3: same as attempt #2 but this time I was only on hold for 5 minutes before getting disconnected. Attempt #4: called back and got the restaurant voicemail telling me to leave my request for the reservation and the hostess would get back to me to confirm. I left my info, but did anyone call me back to confirm? NO! Bummer cause I was really looking forward to trying them out but this experience really turned me off. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

OVERPRICED! My friends and I came here for dinner because someone we knew worked there and said he would hook us up. So we sit in the«lounge» area that is basically in the front lobby of the Intercontinental Hotel. We let our connection fix us up a sushi platter without asking the cost. We ended up getting a 3 – 4 rolls of sushi(i can only remember the rainbow roll and spicy tuna roll). The rolls were good, but nothing that made me think WOW. Also, we got several pieces of sashimi(salmon, tuna, yellowtail… and something else). All and all the food was good but not extraordinary… especially, when we got the receipt and realized that the grand total was more than $ 100($ 80+ plus tip and tax). I don’t know where the hook up was… Sigh.

We were guests at this hotel so we dined in the dining room, had drinks at the lounge, dined in the garden, had room service, and had poolside service. Everywhere else we had to drive to, or walk to the mall in the heat, and with a stroller it’s so much work that sometimes you just want to have food come to you. We really took advantage of this restaurant. Superb food. Minus one star for the exuberant price. I know, it’s a hotel so it’s a rare treat. –Japanese breakfast: miso soup was a bit sour, but otherwise filling and good. $ 27 –Brioche French toast: loved it so much had it twice. Two thick slices of eggy French toast with peaches on the side. $ 19 –Smoked salmon flat bread: ample smoked salmon. Perfect lunch food. –Flat egg white omelette: my husband watches what he eats and he liked this omelette with chicken. –Fruit plate: pricey for fruit and berries, but if you have the money, splurge. Every berry was inspected by the kitchen to ensure you get your $ 20 worth of good berries. –Shrimp wrap: really nice. I especially liked the candied ginger. –Caesar salad: very nice also. Leaves were all fresh, no wilted edges. –Bagel with smoked salmon: lots of smoked salmon. Delicious. I loved the smoked salmon flatbread. My husband and I both thought the food was fantastic here.

There’s a reason why the frozen Mojito is at the very bottom of their drink list in smaller print — it sucks — I’ve had better slurpies. And pass on the Lobster & Crab w/Bacon sandwich unless you really want to blow $ 32 bucks on an overly dressed and over priced seafood salad sandwich. Tips: Order the Perfect Pear Martini, the Ginger Drop Martini & The Organic Apple dessert(sorta a de-constructed apple tart, with a salty caramel sauce and ice cream) — Yummy The food is two stars, the service is four stars… so The Park Grill gets a three from me.

DineLA week rules! thanks to maneli for getting me to go out. how else could i have a $ 50 lunch for $ 22! but my cheap meal came with a steep price. everything took forever! holy crap did it ever take forever. got there at noon, we were seated, given menus and water. then we asked for the dineLA menu and our guy vanishes for 15 minutes. i was almost at the point of saying eff, lets go to taco bell. but then he came back and said sorry we can’t find them but here’s your options. we order and wait again. finally our appetizers come. my black bean soup is pretty good, better than what you get in a can from trader jo’s so that’s nice. she got a watermelon salad thingie that looked very pretty, long spears of watermelon stacked like a log cabin. next comes main course. i got the«Grilled Black Angus Burger, Brioche Bun, Aged Cheddar Cheese.» may have well been a burger king patty with all that other stuff. the meat was nothing special at all. the bun was typical LA fru-fru brioche that everyone loves to use now, i’m pretty sick of them myself. she had the fish that was too fishie for her but i though was okay, not great though. after we finished the meals we asked to get our desserts to go since i’m already late getting back to work. oh, the guy says, you cannot get the crème brûlée to go, but we’ll wrap up the cheesecake. 15 minutes later, out come a trio of cold crème brûlée, rock hard tops and cold crème under. i’m pretty sure they forgot about it and it sat out for 10 minutes before being served to us. i ate my cheesecake later at work and that was pretty good, but just par as far as cheesecakes go. i suddenly feel like a cheesesteak mmmm. so yeah, my hour lunch ended up taking two. i missed a meeting, had par food, but cheap par food. if i came here and paid full price for this meal and service i would have ripped this place a new one in my review. but the dineLA discount was their only saving grace.(saving grace btw is a great movie.)
