I visited the Oxy Blind and Shade showroom on a Friday morning and gave Ray my window measurements and told him what I was looking for for natural shades.
He called back a couple hours later with a quote, and when it sounded good, he came to my house that very afternoon to take measurements and finalize the order. He was very thoughtful and methodical and took his time.
A week and a half later, he came and did the installation and everything looks fabulous.
This has been one of the most straight-​forward and easy transactions I’ve ever had. And coming off some nightmare experiences with big box, «corporate» stores, I’m reminded again why using local businesses is absolutely the way to go.

I am in complete agreement with every one of these reviews! I wish I could give Ray and Oxy Blinds a higher rating! Ray is conscientious, punctual, thorough, professional, and a really great guy! As are the people he works with. The quality is top notch, the prices incredibly reasonable and everything was finished and installed beautifully a week early! My family just had our blinds installed by Ray. Ray started by first coming to our home and finding out what we needed (privacy, black-​out, etc). He reviewed with us all of our options and to further answer our questions, he invited us to visit his showroom to look at all of the samples and different materials that would accomplish what we wanted. Ray’s prices are excellent! You won’t get better value for your money at the big box stores like Home Depot or Lowes. Ray is a great guy and what I like about him is he stands behind his product and if there are any issues, he let me know that he would be there to service the blinds if needed. Ray installed faux wood blinds in all the bedrooms and bathrooms and blackout shades in our master. We plan to use Ray again to install plantation shutters in the rest of our house. Very professional and by using Ray, you are supporting a small business that does everything right from beginning to end. Ray’s customer service was so excellent that I saw no need to get estimates from anyone else. I am a very happy customer and you will to if you give them the opportunity. Thanks again Ray!

I just used Ray to install a set of wood blinds in my house, and he did a fantastic job. I found him responsive, punctual, and extremely competent. The work was impeccable and reasonably-​priced. Plus, he’s a genuinely good guy. Strongest recommendation possible.

I have met Ray after moving to Highland Park Eagle Rock area, and wanted new shades for my new home. I was looking for a local mama & papa business ideally.

We have had Ray at Oxy Blind do several jobs for us in the past. Just recently he installed five beautiful new shades. He is meticulous and his expertise cannot be beat. Plus he is an all-​around pleasure to do business with — very nice guy and extremely responsive.

We are thrilled with our new blinds. We have irregularly shaped windows and couldn’t just get blinds at the hardware store, so we opted to shop locally and have Oxy Blind and Shade Co. make and install our blinds. It’s a small, friendly operation. Ray came to our home for custom measurements and installed the blinds himself. The quality is way beyond what you could buy at a local hardware shop — waaaay beyond. Hence the price, but it’s worth it. I can’t believe how much these blinds are doing to insulate the rooms in which they are installed.
