Ordering chef jackets and other related items should be a simple process you’re able to do over the telephone or online in minutes. Unfortunately, with New Chef Fashion, over the course of many weeks, it takes four telephone calls, one email, and a posting on Unilocal; to just order two chef jackets. This makes it very challenging to recommend New Chef Fashion to other individuals. Students in my class have military service patches on their chef jackets. When I asked where they were from, everyone said they were ordered through New Chef Fashion. I asked my school how to do this, and was directed to order chef uniforms through New Chef Fashion. This seemed like a simple process, so I called New Chef Fashion, and spoke with Stella. First telephone Call: I speak with Stella, and ask her about having a military service patch being added to my uniform, because other students have them. I give Stella my credit card information, and Stella tells me she’d have to get back to me, because she had to check on the price of adding a military service patch to the chef’s jacket. Unfortunately, Stella never gets back to me.
Second telephone call: A week has passed, and I want to check on my order. I call New Chef Fashion, and speak with Natalie, who tells me the order hadn’t been processed because the credit card number didn’t go through. So I provide Natalie my credit card information, and Natalie tells me the order would be processed. After I get off the telephone with Natalie, I contact my financial institution, and I’m told the card is fine, other transactions continue to successfully process; but there have been no transactions from New Chef Fashion. Third telephone call: It’s been two weeks, and I haven’t heard anything from New Chef about this order. I call and speak with Natalie again, who tells me the order wasn’t processed. So I ask her to process this order again, and provide her my credit card information, as well as my financial institution’s telephone number, so this transaction can be processed over the telephone; if it doesn’t process via their credit card processing system. Natalie tells me the order will be processed. Fourth telephone call: After my above experience, I post the above information on Unilocal,and Stella contacts me the same day. Instead of apologizing for the circumstances she created, she makes excuses why the order hadn’t been processed, would not take any responsibility for dropping the ball, and repeatedly interrupted me. That evening, I receive an email from her assistant letting me know the order was placed, and should be received in a week; oh, and sorry for any inconvenience. The bottom line: Ordering chef jackets and other related items should be a simple process you’re able to do over the telephone or online in minutes. If the process to do this is made much more difficult than this, it’s OK to find another company or vendor with a smoother ordering process, and more professional employees who treat their customers better.

This is my unbiased, unsolicited, sincere and appreciative review of my first order with New Chef Fashions… I just had a great experience with them, and I give them 5 stars on all of the following: customer service product quality product delivery personal attention (…and any category I may have missed) My story: I just started in a culinary program this semester, however a school chef’s ‘uniform’ wasn’t in my budget this past January due to some unexpected financial burdens. My instructor told me I was required to get the school logo chef jacket to be in the class. I called New Chef to inquire how long it would take to get an order once I had the funds, and I was told they would work with me and expedite my uniform for delivery within a few days of placing the order. My contact gave me her name and personal phone number as well as email to get directly through to her when I was able place an order and assured me she would work directly with me, which gave me peace of mind. Time passed. My instructor didn’t make any more demands as I was wearing a clean plain chef’s outfit each class… just not with the school logo. Unfortunately, I didn’t get around to placing the order earlier, when I should have. Last week, my instructor told my class that he would start dropping grades for students every time any one came to class without wearing the school uniform… starting with this week’s class. As soon as I got home, I called New Chef and explained my predicament… I had to have my uniform by the next class… within the week. We got the order through, but then found a little problem with the sizing, whether I was a small or medium. Since I was getting name and logo monogrammed, there was no room for error, and some of the sizing from other chef’s jackets was different and we discussed which size was the best. I gave her my exact measurements and was told I’d get a follow up call. Now, here’s the«extra nine yards» they took: I got a call back from New Chef Fashions that she had found an employee who had my exact proportions,(weight, height, measurements), and a small fit her perfectly. Yaaay… and double yaaay… whereas I received my school chef’s outfit within three days… more than enough time for the next class… and my grade wasn’t dropped for lack of the school logo. ;o) So, Thank You Very Much, New Chef Fashions for coming through with flying colors…(uh, ‘whites’)!

I currently work for a college bookstore and order from new chef every semester. And I am always happy with the outcome. This last time I placed my order, I was a little late on my ordering this semester but luckily they saved me. From the day I ordered to the day I received my chef uniform… It only took 2 days to get the 99 uniforms I ordered! Thank you Stella for all your help. You were amazing! I would definitely recommend New Chef to people.

Listen to all these previous reviews!!! Overall, bad customer service, they take your money asap, but they process your order whenever they feel like. I will never shop here again. I was sent here for school– next time I’ll just look for an alternative. I don’t want to support this business, and I hope that I will never have to, ever again! Side note: Besides purchasing my uniform from here, I also purchased some towels from this place and they arrived to me dirty as hell. It was as if they had a party the night before, cleaned up the floor and sent me the towels. Ugh. Never again.

To add to my previous post… I finally received my coats and pants. they still don’t know where my original order is. A big shout out to Stella Koltzan who tried to black mail me into removing my Unilocal review in order to get my package, in addition to threatening to tell my teacher on me for«my mistake». to clarify, i was told that i could make a return so i sent it, they received it, lost it and blamed me for it. trust me, DONTUSE this company. they are very rude and not professional.

Ordered 3 chef coats, 4 weeks ago. Payment processed immediately, Called 10 days ago and was told they were to be sent out later that day or next day. Still no chef coats. I have written 3 requests for info in the last 7 days. NO response. I will never order from this«joke» again. I ordered embroidered chef coats from Chef Works the exact same time as I ordered these. I received those coats 10 days ago. Don’t waste your time or money.

It has been almost a month now since ordering from New chef and I still have not received my order. I ordered a knife kit about 3 weeks ago through their website, and while being relatively close to them(within 20 miles) I haven’t received my purchase from them. I didn’t even receive an order processing email from them until 2 and a half weeks after I ordered. First time I’ve ever had a receptionist dress and undress me. Sensationalist lead, I know, but I’m telling the truth. I don’t live too far from Vernon, CA(Where NCF is located) so I opted to drop in and just buy my coat straight from the source. I walked into the waiting room and right up to the absolutely chipper receptionist, then picked a coat I wanted out of the catalog(a block-shaped standard chef’s coat, on sale for $ 16, off from $ 30). She went into the back, then pulled out a coat. With proper etiquette, she held the coat, offering the right sleeve first. It was quite fancy. No luck for this pint sized chef, out of stock in anything sexy and small. My receptionist/personal shopper then offered to fetch a white ¾ from the stockroom for me(a shockingly small price tag of $ 14). Coat was ugly as sin. Quite the understanding lady, she went in one final time to the stockroom – without the hint of exasperation – to fetch me a white full sleeve chef’s coat($ 24). The stitching was off, the fabric was coarse and the shape was ugly. But it fit perfectly. And I needed it in 6 hours. My receptionist kindly punched in my order then kindly informed me that she was going on break. As it turns out, I was stomping all over her lunch break, making her run back and forth from the stockroom to me. She sent out a replacement who wasn’t nearly as composed(possibly ringing up a customer for the first time). She was slow at typing, was convinced I was holding a sample coat – well-intentionally ran back to fetch another one – then ended up giving me back my same coat, wasting 15 minutes of my time in a good effort of customer service. Unfortunate way to end a pleasant shopping experience. I’ll still probably buy from NCF again. Though, probably through online for in-store pickup first.
