Louis W. Weisberg, MD

Though I have only been in treatment with Dr. Weisburg since the start of this year, I feel very comfortable speaking with him. He is non-​judgmental and will offer up suggestions that are not «orders» — but are avenues that may be pursued to gain self-​improvement. I feel very fortunate that Dr. Weisberg was recommended to me and I look forward to working with him on an ongoing basis. As an aside, his office is centrally located and there is an underground garage along with ample metered street parking.

He is excellent; very smart, very perceptive and very caring. I have seen him for years and always get a great deal out of our sessions. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Weisberg is a kind and compassionate physician who really cares for his patients wellbeing. Through thick and thin he makes himself available to be supportive and is always helpful. His comments and thoughts are thoughtful and often remarkably insightful. This is particularly true when it comes to dream interpretation. He is doctor who will help you uncover the reasons underlying your emotional distress so that your life will improve.
In response to the negative review I read on Unilocal.I cannot understand why anyone reviewing this physician would imply anything negative about his character or his level of care. Dr. Weisberg is very attentive and always listens carefully to everything that is said. Also, he is always responsive and helpful whenever it comes to dealing with billing or other types of administrative issues. Unfortunately, psychiatrists see difficult patients, some of them may be too ill to understand their psychiatrists words or actions for what they are — an effort to assist a distressed mind to see more clearly. After all, it’s always easier to blame the messenger than to accept responsibility for how ones life might be going or for one’s own mistakes. Psychiatrists can’t fix people like a broken car, it is the responsibility of the patient to want to change and to be willing to listen and accept difficult insights.
I would highly recommend Dr. Weisberg for anyone who is truly committed to feeling better and getting well in the long term.

He will liberally write prescriptions if you are looking for that. He fell asleep during the sessions on at least two different occasions. He seemed to have trouble remembering things I had told him.
He refused to give me copy of my medical records which I needed to send to IRS for review and instead offered to draft a letter– for a fee.
