I love love love Long John Silvers. I used to frequent this location more when I lived in the valley. This location does need some cosmetic work, but the food is still great. I ordered the chicken with hush puppies and they were just as magical as I remember. The chicken was moist with a crispy crust. Omg the hush puppies had a soft interior with a crunchy exterior and very flavorful. Very delicious and the staff was very nice

Worst LJS I’ve ever been to. Batter is not the same light and crispy batter we all know and love. Chicken pieces are half the size of what they used to be. Meal actually tasted like it was cooked in old KFC oil. Very disappointed.

This place is been here for too long and their service was still the same. Came here just early as possible to have their warm food but instead of having warm food, I had cold food. Like its not even freshly cooked food, its like re heated food in the oven. Not the exact place that I would spend my time and money.

So… well…hmmmm… I have a thing for the batter at Long John Silvers and sadly there are none of them around, this being the only place to experience said batter… But…F – K, the service sucks, the staff are useless, they make mistakes on everyone’s order and take forever… When I asked for ketchup I was given Hot Sauce… so I asked again for ketchup and the girl says I gave it to you… I say no you gave me hot sauce… she replies again and says No I gave you both but I will give you more ketchup… UMMMWTF, why is she arguing with me… why would I lie? Oh yeah I know the answer… Cause this is in the GHETTO… Speaking of Ghetto, there was a cracked out base head with skidded knees sleeping at one of the tables… I highly recommend whoever owns this location, they need to spend more time here, serious lack in management!!! As for the food… it’s the worst Long Johns ever, but I still like the batter… depends if you are a fan of their food or not… anyway to sum it up, this location sucks, it’s ghetto, the people are ghetto, the staff sucks, and the food ain’t that good!

I love LJS and was thrilled to find out about this one as I thought the closest one to me was in the OC. That said, though, I don’t know that I’d come here at night or ever eat inside, and the drive-thru is ridiculously slow. Still good food, though.

I was so excited to see that a LJS actually exists in LA, but dang its so far and its in the hood. I went once, all that way just for hushpuppies. The service sucked but i sat thru it for what i love. The hushpuppies have definitely changed but i will still take them over none. I went this week again, and after driving about 20 miles,(which was my first mistake), they were out of hushpuppies!!! Forget it! Im not gonna waste my time with this dump. I shoulda turned away once i saw the girl walk up to the counter, but its kinda like a drug habit.

This is probably the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. This is the first time I have ever come to LJS… and maybe the last. I ordered the big catch combo. The breading of the fish kept slipping off and they gave us SPORKS to eat the fish! Aside from all the issues, the food tasted pretty good. Tip: If you have to eat at a LJS don’t eat at this one.

When I was a teen I use to save up money so I could eat at a Long John Silvers. Since I loved seafood and being so inland to the country, it’s really the cheapest and convenient place to hit up cod. This is when they had pirate hats too. Now that they’ve combined KFC&LJS… you get to decide whether you want a pirate hat or a king’s crown. Guess which one I chose? The smell as you enter is really nostalgic. The sweet smell of batter. It’s deep fried heart clogging tastiness. Who cares if it’s healthy? It’s a pile of deep fried-ness. Duh. So, mostly I go for the hush puppies. I’ve driven distances for this ball of breading. Somehow, it taste different. Maybe they scaled back on the fat. Like when they screwed up McDonald’s apple pie by baking it. But it still brings back memories. And if you didn’t have it as a kid, you’ll probably not like it as an adult. I wrote a similar review on an LJS in my hometown. And I should reiterate… I once took a girl to a LJS for a special night out. At least that’s what I told her. I ended up spending 7 years with her. Loved her deeply and wanted to marry her. She continually reminded me that I had brought her to a LJS as a «special occasion.» She moved on with her life. I still have my Long John Silvers.

I can always get hush puppies but on one occasion my order was mistaken.

I’m a big Long John Silver’s fan and was heartbroken when the Rowland Heights location closed. Haven’t had my Chicken plank fix in over a year so I thought I would drive 20 miles to the nearest LJs, but after reading the comments here, I thought I’d better call ahead to see if the chicken was still available. Called multilple times at 12 noon on Thursday, but no answer. Did they go out of business? It wouldn’t surprise me as the LJs near West Covina by Walmart just shut down.

Friendly and fresh. Bathroom woeful. Tasty fish hush puppies and slaw and corn. A little too salty

I was excited to hear that a new Long John Silvers had opened in the area. As I approached the location I noticed that it didn’t look new at all. Once i entered it was apparent that this location had be ‘reopened’. The interior is grungy, the booth seats slipt open. Definitely not a new location. I ordered, they were out of chicken planks. I dont know how that it possible at 11:30 on a weekday. When the order arrived it was wrong. The food really sub par as to taste and presentation. I am a big fan on Long Johns and I do often drive out of my way to visit a location. This location I would not go to again. It is shocking to me that Long Johns would allow such a place to represent the brand. Avoid at all cost.
