This review is for their breakfast /brunch only. The backstory: My circle of friends and I used to frequent the Los Feliz location years ago. However, as the café became more and more popular, the service started to tank, and we took our patronage elsewhere. Having recently heard that the Los Feliz location had vastly improved its service, I decided to give the DTLA location — Les Noces Du Figaro — a try. The food: Everything we ordered was really good and reasonably priced. Two eggs any style(I opted for poached, of course) with potatoes and small side salad is a steal at $ 7. The potatoes were so tasty that we ordered another side of it(for the bargain price of $ 3.50). Brioche french toast was light but tasty; portion was on the smaller side though. Croque Madame was a big hit with my friend. We also ordered some dessert from the pastry case: rasberry and blueberry financiers(a bit too«chilled») and the pistachio éclair with whipped cream(pistachio was subtle, which I liked). Oh, and two thumbs way up for the bread basket. The service: Giovanni and Karim are superstars. They were friendly, attentitive, courteous, and accommodating. Kudos for bringing out a bowl of water for our pooch without us having to ask. Ambience: A bit odd since French music was playing at the restaraunt and reggaeton/ranchera at the various vendors on Broadway(we sat on the patio, which is a decent size by the way). Also, if you do sit on the patio, you can expect the occasional passerby to ask you for food and/or change. Not very crowded for brunch on a Sunday afternoon.

A nice opened air restaurant in the middle of Broadway Ave. Street and Valet are available… the area is a bit sketchy at night, so keep your eyes open! I go the rib eye and I loved my entrée! The meat was tender and the peppercorn sauce was perfect, nom! I noticed 4 different types of mussel item on the menu and my friend decided to order the Mussels Provencale(garlic). I have to say that I loved my rib eye, but I LOVED the mussels. One, the mussels were overflowing. Two, the mussels were infused with flavor. Three, the aroma was perfect. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I’m so happy that there is a new chef at Les Noces Du Figaro! A real French Chef that is humble and nice enough to come out and greet us. In the end as a bonus, we got two pieces of macaroons on the house. The macaroons were chewy and enough to share… I would definitely recommend dropping by here for lunch or dinner and grabbing some dessert to go. Overall, Les Noces Du Figaro is great, but they do need to work on their service a bit more. The restaurant wasn’t busy(four tables) and the service was slow… friendly, but slow. I can’t wait to come back and try more mussels, À la prochaine! PS corkage fee is $ 15, let’s hope they adopt my idea and get some free corkage fee night!!!

This is one of those fancy French restaurants you will probably see in upper class neighborhoods. But this fine dining establishment is located in the middle of Broadway surrounded by cheap clothing and accessory stores. I came here with a group of coworkers for their DineLA menu. I ordered their quiche and salmon salad. The quiche was very good, I never had it before so it was definitely a new experience for my taste buds. It looked like a pie, but tastes like an omelette. I was really excited for the salmon salad. It seemed like their was more salmon than salad. Usually I wouldn’t complain about having more salmon, but there was too salty. It needed more greens to balance the taste. Overall I had a pretty great dining experience. The waiters had fake accents; I am guessing they wanted to give us that authentic French experience. The food I would consider 3 stars. But the décor and the service kicks it up to 4 stars.

Un lieux hors du temps découvert par hasard en me promenant dans le quartier très populaire de Broadway en plein milieux de commerces de vêtements et de bijoux. Étonnant ! Et bon rapport qualité prix.

Definitely a hidden gem in Downtown LA! We came here for DineLA during the dinner hours since my girl loves French food and we really enjoyed our experience here. We were seated by the window and enjoyed the people watching. Definitely romantic! Our waiter with his French accent definitely makes the experience more authentic and all the more enjoyable. His recommendation of carafe of the house wine was definitely a great bargain for only $ 8. For the first course, I ordered the fried calarmari and it was very tasty. It had just the right amount of batter to make for a good crunch and it went very well with the spicy tomato sauce that it came with. For the entrée, I got the sesame crusted Salmon. Although I ordered Medium(hoping for a little pink so it wouldn’t be too dry), it came out done. Nevertheless, it wasn’t dry and it was complemented well with the sauce and vegetables. For dessert, I got the crème brûlée. It make for a nice sweet ending. There’s a lot of construction going on at Broadway. However, if you’re lucky enough, you can find free street parking after 6PM. If not, there is valet. Service was slow despite it not being that busy.

Oh I really wanted to like this place! But I recently went there for breakfast and while the restaurant said it opened at 8, we got there a little after 8 and there were still chairs stacked on tables and no one was at the front to greet us. The pastry counter had not been stocked with fresh/new food yet and the table where we were seated was not set. Pros: 1. They gave us the entire coffee pot so we can refill our own cups(maybe this isn’t quite a pro?) 2. Waiter was nice. Cons: 1. Bread came wrapped in dirty napkin with food stains still on it 2. Staff was not prepared and ready to serve customers at opening time 3. Location is kind of gross — totally not their fault because they can’t control the people who walk by or loiter near their restaurant, but the view outside is not pleasant

Can’t believe there is a nice french restaurant hidden behind the plants in this area, I have never walked in this district of downtown LA before, I prefer not to usually, but hubby made a reservation at this place, we just had to park and walk a short distance, didn’t like that part. A bakery in the front of the restaurant, lots of French pastries and deserts, they looked very delicious, I really liked the old fashioned French décor, classic and beautiful, we chose to sit at a comfy booth in bar and lounge area, the bar is huge, I can see it’s a good place for late night lounging. They gave us brunch and lunch menu, the brunch menu is extensive, lots of things to choose from, I orderd a Bloody Mary with Grey Goose to start, our server asked if I wanted it to be a bit more spicy, of course, that’s how I like my Bloody Mary, the drink was huge and tasty, had two of those! Starters: Breakfast bread basket, with jam and butter: very delicious, it was a good once a week carb fix for me! Escargots in parsley garlic butter sauce, with toasted baguette: they were so yummy, the sauce was amazing, we loved it! Spinach soup: they ran out of clam chowder, the soup was a bit spicy, interesting how they made spinach spicy, we didn’t like it too much, tasted weird to us. Entrees: Fettuccine pasta with smoked salmon and mushrooms, in white wine cream sauce: the sauce was so rich and flavorful, lots of smoked salmon in it, so good! Fettuccine pasta with steak: the steak was a little overcooked even hubby asked for it to be a bit on the rare side, but overall the dish was still delicious. Both of us liked our pasta so much, as well as the sauces, they were so yummy. The portions were huge! The food was very good, the service was friendly and attentive, except the coke was flat, everything else was nice, a good comfort brunch meal for sure! Ps. Public parking structure across the street, flat $ 8 rate on Saturdays.

Nice ambiance. Dimly lit and very quiet on a Saturday night. Restaurant has two floors with an event going on the second. They also have a decent selection of pastries in the front. I ordered the Cuisses De Canard Confites Et Sauce A’ L’ orange. It was essentially two duck legs, potatoes, vegetables, sweet and sour sauce. Duck skin was crispy and the meat was moist. The orange sauce was light but a good flavor to the dish. The duck would have been bland without it. The potatoes were crispy as well. Overall, a well-balanced entrée.

Les Noces du Figaro is a precious gem tucked away amidst an uninviting street. The building itself is gorgeous, with two floors and a boulangerie with delicious desserts. The style is reminiscent of a luxury hotel lobby, with a very nice full bar. The food is literally mouthwatering(I’m salivating just writing this review). It is traditional small(and regular sized) dishes. Everything on the menu is cooked perfectly and is tres delicious. Take your pick or let the maître de surprise you, either way you will not be disappointed. Your journey to delicious French cuisine awaits.

Figaro is an absolute jewel on Broadway. The décor, food and beer selections and bar are absolutely top notch. I love their classic architecture and wait staff. However, I feel their location doesn’t give them the business they deserve. Hopefully they will clean up that section of downtown so this place can get the frequency it deserves. If you love french food and a great place to hang out with friends, I definitely recommend fighting the bums and polka music blaring from the Latin stereo shops to visit this place. Lunch, Dinner, even later night bar, you can’t go wrong.

This place is so cute! I came here for a business lunch not too long ago, and I really enjoyed my experience. As soon as I entered I was greeted by a waitress who was more than willing to help me out. I came around 10AM on a Sunday, so traffic wasn’t bad at all, and I found the place pretty easy. The restaurant is pretty big, and some of the waiters are really fluent in French. The food was okay… I wouldn’t rave about it. The reason I’m giving it four stars is because of the experience, really. They have a really cool dessert bar at one side of the restaurant, I bought one to take home and it was delicious! They have top floor which big enough for a relatively big party if you wanted to throw an event there. I didn’t give the restaurant five stars because, the parking was horrendous,(as expected) and the food was good, but not delicious. But I’ll still be coming back!

A huge French restaurant in the downtown«theater» district? Okay then, let’s try it out and not get mugged stepping in and out of the restaurant. All kidding aside, it’s not super dangerous but it is downtown. Groupon deal used: 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. The special fixe prixe menu wasn’t on the regular menu. They just got a new chef about a month ago and I bought my groupon several months ago. That could be the reason for disparity. I had the rib eye with peppercorn sauce, it was cooked well although I for one could have used more salt on mine. My dining partners had the ribeye and the Mussels Provencale. And I must say like another reviewer pointed out, these mussels were on point! The broth was aromatic and seeped into every little mussel in the huge pot they gave us. If it was my own mussel dinner, I would have dunked all the fries into the broth just so they can soak in that delicious flavor. The chef was nice enough to come out and greet us. We definitely effused how much loved the mussels and he gave us two free desserts, which my god were amazing. Big raspberry macaroons w/fresh raspberries. Worth it to come back for dessert alone. They really should think of advertising some sort of afternoon tea or something. The only reason why this isn’t a five star is that the service was a bit slow, I can see why with only one waitress manning the huge restaurant(they don’t draw a big crowd). But there were only four tables. Will come back for mussels frites and macaroons.

I may just not be a fan of french food. Came here towards the end of happy hour. Each of my friends ordered 2 plates so we sampled a bit of everything. Crab cakes: Cakes themselves were delicious and real. Not a fan of the tomato sauce, didn’t go well with the crab. Mini burger: My favorite! Juicy with the edges crispy. Delicious aioli dressing Mussels: I couldn’t figure out how to keep the parsley on the mussel Fries: …are fries. Not horrible, but not life changing I would come back for the desserts though. My friends and I each got something different and they were all delicious. I got a chocolate raspberry mousse and macarons that i really enjoyed I don’t believe there’s parking nearby. my friends and I took the train and got off at Pershing Square, it wasn’t that long of a walk. The service was decent. The waiter forgot my crab cakes. They have movies playing from a projector.

Bonjur! Ju likie-ah de-ah French cuzeen? Wee, me too, likie-ah French! (my failed attempt to type out my French accent.) I’d like to think I have great taste in food. I can’t take all the credits though. My taste buds knows what it likes and loves. This is some authentic French cuisine. The chef, director of events and some staff are French with strong accents. Loved! First thing, the venue. I just adore it. I’ve been to the Figaro in Los Feliz and loved it there. I knew about this location for a while but never got around to trying it until now. Walking through the streets of DTLA for the Skyline Exhibit. Came across the colorful pastry selection by the window… it took my attention away. Walking pass it, the interior and décor is simply adoring. There are two stair cases that lead to the second floor towards the back which would be great for banquets, receptions, and or private parties. It’s beautiful. I loved the displays of the pastries and the dividing of the café and the dining area. Marbled flooring and high ceilings. My friend and I came back to dine after we did our tour. It was a very slow night for them. Usually, when you come into a restaurant and you don’t see many people dining, it’s like a red flag. But in this case, I knew it would be a good dinner. Amit, our server was superb. She was attentive and great with recommendations. We had dessert on the house. And OMGawwwd, it was heavenly. I can’t remember the name of it, but it was raspberry something with shortbread and a surprise caramel type candy hidden in the center of it. Light and fluffy and not too sweet. Perfection. Now that I’ve described the dessert first, let me tell you about the appetizer and entrees. Salmon tartar, not tuna… that’s right. It was delicious! There was some type of crispy chip like bread that came with it, that was way too salty. I used the bread they gave us and ate with the tartar instead. Friend had the Risotto with Scallops and Lobster topped with water crest: buttery yet tasty. I’m not a huge fan of risotto’s because it is quite heavy after a few bites. The«young hen» dish: I had the chicken dish and it… was…ahhh-mazing! Roasted herbs potatoes with a vinaigrette type sauce, well cooked chicken breast topped with some water crest. I finished every bite. Overall, I was very impressed by everything Les Noces du Figaro has to offer. I asked Amit which macaroon was her favorite. I only have one favorite place to go for macarons, but I had to try. She said the lychee one, not too sweet. So just as well we’re leaving, I stopped at the counter and bought one to try. Verdict: not bad, bit hard. Probably not the freshest since it was the end of the night. I like the chewiness towards the center of the bite. I’m a fan… Chao!

Came here with Jen H. and John H. They got a groupon for 2 appetizers and 2 entrees for $ 42.00. I ordered A La Cart. If you’ve been here and didn’t like it, I would definitely ask you to give it another shot. They have recently got a new chef, so they’re menu has been completely revamped. Food: Mussels: I don’t remember the exact name of the mussel but it has load of garlic in it. It was flavorful, fresh and delicious. The mussels came in a clay pot and some fries. I personally the fries were a little under salt, but J&J disagreed =P I personally like my fries«salty»! There was tons of mussels for around $ 21.00. They definitely did not skim on quantity. Steak: It was flavorful, cooked correctly, and layered beautifully. The bottom layer were mash potatoes, then centered with a thick piece of meat and topped with some greens. The greens on top give the meat some crunchy bites and cut down on the the gaminess of the meat. Dessert: On the house! The chief decided to give us a giant macron filled with mascapone cheese and raspberry. It was perfectly sweet, beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious. Tip: Watch where you park because the location is a bit sketchy.

Everyone was very friendly. We were seated promptly and had an overall great experience. We used a Groupon deal(which was fabulous). I started off with the goat cheese salad. My date ordered the crab cakes. It was delicious!!! For an entrée I ordered the Filet Minion. It was so tasty and tender. I would definitely return just to order the entrée again. We ended our meal with a crème brûlée which topped out experience. Needless to say, we will be back.

After 4 visits, it just gets better(5 stars) Yes, I’ve been back 4 times and each time it just gets better. The ambiance is really nice, a big difference when walking from outside in. I would not recommend sitting on the sidewalk patio, unless you like all the traffic between people, cars, buses, and the music. The pastries are always really good. This time I ordered the almond croissant, which had a crispy crust on the bread, but deliciously sweet almond paste inside. They serve very good coffee as well. My brunch entrée was the quiche loraine with pommes frites and salad. Yummy! The desserts are equally delicious: my favorite is the pear almond tart. So brunch 4 times, and I need to get back for dinner.

Miserable. French onion soup: the broth was thin, no richness, absolutely no depth. There was very little cheese broiled in it, but there was a small portion of grated cheese on the side. This side of grated cheese was very oily, like they mixed oil with it. Very strange. Nicoise salad. As soon as it was set down before me, a big waft of fishiness emanated from it. I smelled a piece of the seared tuna, and sure enough, it was very fishy! Disgusting. I sent it back, and left hungry. The waiter asked if I was getting the smell from the anchovy. No. It’s the disgusting tuna. They gave me a free raspberry macaron to try to make up. It’s stored in a chilled pastry case, it was cold. Otherwise it was fine. Service: our waiter asked if I wanted my dishes to arrive separately or together. Separately. Then he says, let him know when I’m ready for the salad. What? That’s his job. Sure enough, I had to try to flag him down to finally get my gross salad. There was ONE other party dining, and yet he was so hard to flag down. Also, he seemed to be very much in love with his French accent, so much so, that I wondered if he was just practicing it for his next role. The space is completely gorgeous. What a waste. The thought of that fishy tuna is grossing me out again. P. S. I was going to eat a second piece of bread, but a fruit fly had come buzzing around our bread and butter. P. P. S. This place is screaming for a Gordon Ramsay makeover. Not the décor, of course. I could just see him cursing in disgust at the old seafood in their fridge.

Pretty decent food, but owners should never ever attack Unilocalers per their honest reviews. I would’ve given this place a solid 3 – 4, but that’s very unprofessional and unacceptable from management to create fake accounts to straight up INSULT Unilocalers. **A separate profile &5-star review was made to straight up insult Sunny K.‘s super honest review** glad that review was flagged & brought down, what a chump. Les Noces Du Figaro(Figaro Bistrot) is new to DTLA, nestled in Broadway. We ordered the steak tartare & seafood pie with puff pastry — both were good, and I appreciated the big clumps of seafood(lobster, shrimp, scallops) in the pie topped with pastry puff. Steak tartare was flavorful and citrusy, while I personally prefer tartare to have more raw beef flavoring without it being masked with a lot of marinade. but that’s just me. I almost wish I left immediately after my dinner, but we were distracted by their Bottega Louie-esque display of desserts(more specifically, display of macarons). I tried the«best seller» mille-feuille, aka Napoleon, and also a couple macarons. Although fairly priced and freshly baked in-house, the desserts were subpar. I wasn’t a fan of the macarons or the napoleon, and we barely touched it. I do like the concept that you can slip in to order a dessert/coffee to-go. Our waitress was very sweet, and I could tell that since the restaurant is new, they’re still going under training process. She wasn’t very knowledgable of the menu and stumbled upon making suggestions, but she tried her absolute best to describe everything. Attractive and pricey place, but I hear that the happy hour is pretty decent.

This place has a lot of potential to be the new Bottega Louie of DTLA. I left the restaurant well-fed for a very reasonable price! The croissants are buttery and unbeatable, the macaroons were soft and flavorful, and the breakfast. .. wow. Incredible. I would say that I have not had a better Salmon Benedict in a long time.(I could have done with out the bland hash browns, though.) The staff was incredibly friendly, especially the sexy French one! I am looking forward to seeing where this places goes.
