John and Colette were the photographers at my wedding in May 2015. I recommend them highly.
They are not the cheapest photographers on the market for sure, but you get quite good value for what you pay for, in terms of the quality of the product they deliver.
On the day of our wedding, it was a true pleasure to have them there. They were lighthearted, unobtrusive, creative, friendly, and respectful.
Their photos met and surpassed our expectations. Our venue — the 1909 in Topanga, CA – was showcased in all its natural beauty. In addition, they really captured the spirit and character of our event, including the personality of everyone involved.

I just got married. I used John & Colette and was SHOCKED… SHOCKED to see that they aren’t on Unilocal yet. They were a reference from a friend of mine and they were worth it. They are a very warm couple that doesn’t take cookie cutter photographs, unless you totally want them too. We had a really nice initial meeting and they kept in touch and gave me references throughout my wedding planning process.
They were there on time on the day of the wedding and shot TONS of photographs in every which way and angle. They are not cheap, but they are quality. This day is definitely one that you want to remember and cherish. I didn’t realize how important it was to have a good photographer until I saw the pictures. They got some great moments and they got pictures of other people taking pictures, so now I can hound those folks for pictures too. LOL…
Anyway, they are really nice, communicative and they do a great job of putting you at ease. My groom was very nervous/​anxious and after about 20 minutes finally started loosening up. It was a great day. Unfortunately, we didn’t get an opportunity to wait until the ceremony to see each other, but John & Colette took pictures of our ‘first looks’ which was just as great. It was also nice to be able to spend some time with each other before the ceremony to calm our nerves a little bit. It was a great day and now I can remember it with beautiful pictures.
