This place is delicious they serve big portions and have good prices. It’s a Monday afternoon not too busy, but I can tell it’s a very well maintained restaurant and has great service. Check out the pictures attached!

They messed up the food order. My dad ordered shrimp tostadas and thanks to our waitress Eli she slipped her own tipped. Yeah probably will not be coming back. Would recommend stay away

The restaurant itself is huge .it takes up the whole entire upstairs floor but it’s nice. It can be quite loud to the point where the waitress can’t even take our orders. but the food is typical Mexican food. The quesadillas are big and prices are good for what you get for. There are mariachis on both ends of the restaurant and I like that but it’s just too loud for me. Maybe I’ll give it another try!

Good service. I got the wet burrito de pastor and it came relit relatively quick. Maybe like 10 min. It was actually pretty good. My mom ordered their menudo and she said it tasted a bit like canned menudo or as if it wasn’t made that day. Chips could do with a bit more salt and they only brought us one small plate or chips and didn’t bother asking if we would like more. My biggest grip would have the be how loud the people playing on the stage was. I get that’s the point of this restaurant atomosphere but it that’s their selling point they could invest in an audio engineer to set up their live group. Vocals sound completely inaudible and drowned out the instruments.

DON’T WASTEYOURMONEYHERE. The last dish came out 33 minutes after the first plate came out. The food wasn’t even worth the wait. The mariachi is good, the waitress was polite and frustrated with the kitchen as well. I spoke to the manager and she was polite. She told me the wait was due to the fact that all items were prepared when ordered so that the food is «fresh»… The food didn’t taste fresh or very authentic. They comped us 9 flan servings for our party… They tried to rectify the situation however, it was not enough for what we ended up paying(even after the discount)… Spend your money else where, trust me, the food is not worth the money or the wait.

I really was not impressed, service was mediocre and food was just ok. I did enjoy the live entertainment.

Food is ok… Nothing over the top. Mostly, the family and I come to enjoy the mariachi music … It’s a fun atmosphere, def a must come when your in the LA Area. There’s a little indoor mall below the restaurant, the pan dulce is super cheap and its fresh… Pretty good! There are usually horses outside to ride but they weren’t there yesterday. Overall I love coming here!!! It’s always a good time

The food: decent, not terribly overpriced. Atmosphere: two sides, pretty much identical. Mariachis playing on both sides. Came on a Sunday afternoon. Mariachi was below average, and I heard Las Mañanitas seven times in the hour and a half I was there, that was rough. Overall, a decent place. Don’t expect too much, it is kind of an east la icon, but I think people are settling for less than what is actually good food and music.

This restaurant is not as bad as all the reviews listed. I actually like this place. My family and I enjoy coming here. My sister suggested this place because she loves singing and there’s Karaōke competitions, she’s actually won several times before. The waitresses are very nice and the owners greet everyone. The only down fall are the restrooms. They are outside still in the same floor but a little distant from the actual restaurant. This place is clean and good service. Enough of that, the food is very delicious. I suggest the Cadillac margaritas and the aguas frescas(natural juices) for beverages and for dishes the Azteca plate and the mariscos are the best! They are a bit pricey but so good! They always bring a bowl of chips and salsa. It’s always a good place to go to with family.

Bland, bland, bland! The pictures in the menu are in no way representative of the food that actually comes out to your table. Portions are small & food tastes like buffet versions of the real deal which is a disappointment considering the location. Those that don’t care for a noisy dinner can skip this place because the mariachis are loud & non stop. Very pricey for portions & quality– skip it.

Very loud — but it a mariachi place so I guess I signed up for that. Horrible customer service — we reserved a table a few days in advance because they decorate the table for you for special events. They didn’t have our table ready OR decorated(and the restaurant was pretty empty), apologized, and decorated it after we were already sitting. The waitress took our order and then disappeared until it was time for the check. The food was bland, absolutely nothing special. The free chips were stale nd the salsa is purchased, not freshly made. This place is inside a swap meet type place. Parking is entirely too complicated for no reason. We went for my mother in laws birthday because she likes mariachi. But even the mariachi stunk. Do yourself a favor and don’t even consider going there. You have been warned.

The food was great. Love the Mexican enviroment. But the service sucks and the mariachi was okay.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. It reminded me of Mexico :) The mariachi played great music. My only complain was the lack of customer service. They need to hire more waitresses and TRAIN them properly. The food was okay but over priced. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean.

For someone that grow up in the area as a child, down the street and hung out in this place every day, like it was a Boys Club! Or a YMCA because my child hood friends worked their and their parents own their business. I never liked their food up stairs in the Mariachi Restaurant area they have two area and a third area that has a Karaōke room, that has no AC! And it gets hot in their, the only reason I give it three stars is for the Mariachi show and the singers that sing their. Their food was never good heat lamp food, like buffet Mexican Food, that is no good, it’s not freshly made, it’s already made and just reheated. Put it this way your better off getting your food down stair area then in the Mariachi Restaurant area! Plus it’s very expensive! Down stair is less expensive and it’s fresh, not reheated! Much better then up stairs, you are paying for the Mariachi show!

Arrived to celebrate a friend’s birthday on a Friday night. The live Mariachi really sets this place for a fun mood. Said mood is quickly ruined by the lack of service. One end of the table had their orders taken(about 5), and the rest of us waited an hour for the server to take our order despite repeated requests… I don’t think I will ever come back. If you really want a quality show, dinner, and cocktails with real alcohol, La Casita de Garibaldi, for example, is a much better bet.

I can only vouch for what I ate here today. I came to the mercado with my fiancé and family and we ended up eating at this restaurant. It is located on the top level and it’s HUUUUGE!!! We sat down near the stage and were served chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and the salsa tasted great. I reviewed the menu and noticed that the prices were pretty high for what you are getting. Over $ 20 for a combination plate of fajitas is not a good deal in my eyes, so I decided on the fish taco plate. My fiancé had a ceviche tostada. It took a little too long for the food to come out seeing as though the restaurant was near empty, but we were entertained by two musicians who came on stage and played a few songs. When our food finally arrived it tasted great. I did not like the rice I was served, however the beans were OK and the fish tacos were really tasty. My fiancé ate all of his ceviche and I also tried some of it and I thought it was good. The family had steak gorditas which they also enjoyed. Although the food was great, I’m not sure I will be back here. The service was good but it was too slow for an empty restaurant. Also when we sat down we heard someone walking out saying that the food was the worst they had ever had…

By far the worst place I’ve been to! The service is the worst the waitresses are talking to eat other and laughing while you want to order. Instead of them coming to you and asking if you need anything you have to get up and call for them. It took 50 minutes for me to get my food and it was EMPTY! The food was disgusting! The only good thing was the michelada and the mariachi. Never coming back.
