Delicious bagel with lox and cream cheese. A little on the pricy side, but it’s kosher and that always costs more. Overall good experience.

Just had my daughter’s third birthday and ordered her cake from Eilat. The cake was SOFRESH and SO incredibly delicious that even the adults had seconds! They had literally baked frosted and decorated it that same morning! The staff was very friendly and understanding and their prices are very very reasonable especially for a kosher bakery. They were a breath of fresh air! Thank you.

After purchasing cakes for an office birthday celebration — I discovered $ 1,500 of fraudulent charges on my company credit card! I gave an employee at Eilat Bakery my card number over the phone to place the order and didn’t use the card until discovering that it had been maxed out over a weekend. The card has never been out of my possession and is rarely used. When I called to speak to the owner about this, I was told that«I could wait.» They never returned my calls or had time to discuss their dishonest business practices. Be warned!

Eilat Bakery simply has the best baked goods around. That’s what keeps me coming back I gave it four stars because, to me, it’s the food that really matters. They have great challah and other bread. However, there is nothing inviting about the place. Most bakeries look very cute but nothing actually tastes good. Eilat is the exactly opposite — they have the good food, but the look of the place is very unappealing. It looks as if nothing has been done for a very long time. The service is not the best. If you’re not careful, you might end up with bread that isn’t fresh. Eilat has mastered their recipes, but I personally feel that they need to step it up. After all, there are two other bakeries practically across the street.

I had these people make me a cake, and they could not understand what I wanted after explaining it 20x!!! if you have a custom cake dont even bother with these employees, the simply don’t get it… If you go just a block over, Shwartz Bakery is much better: their cake tastes better and their employees have a brain.

I come here every week for our baked goods and as usual the baked goods are delicious. I am writing this review to applaud their employee, Annie, who gives me tremendous customer service and rectified a payment issue with integrity and honesty.

This place is an Israeli staple in Los Angeles. Every year, since I was a tiny tot, my mom would get a dozen of their donuts for Chanukah. I’ve continued the delicious tradition. Make sure you get the fresh baked ones from this location as opposed to the other one on pico. We accidentally got some at the other location for the first night of Chanukah and realized they were definitely substandard. Their cookies and burekas are also very delicious and make me feel like I’m back in Israel.

This place deserves no stars! I hate writing bad reviews and tried really hard to avoid this. Their pastry tasted like it was tainted with some sort of poison or nail polish remover. The pastry was a gift and the person who received it became sick. I went back several times to complain about the problem, all of the employees were very rude. I left my phone number and the owner Nicki and her daughter Rebecca could care less and never called back. Every other business I have been to is quick at solving the problem, either by replacing it or offering a refund. I should have known not to buy anything from them because the kitchen and the counters appear very dirty and all of the baked goods look stale and old. I will never return!

The Chabad House on campus used to sell their chocolate chip challah every other Thursday, and these is what introduced to me to a(now) life-long obsession with good challah. I was so excited when I figured out that one of their locations was right near my work. Unfortunately, I have been extremely underwhelmed so far. First time I went in there, I bought an extremely crunchy chocolate chip challah. At least the counter person warned me first, but it was clearly overbaked and dry and only just«alright» — which I am not looking for if I’m spending over $ 5 on one loaf. Went in this morning to give them one more chance. Got two small loaves of chocolate chip challah and was told I had to spend over $ 10 to use a credit card. Annoying, but okay. Well, the counter person got huffy and rude as I tried to figure out what I wanted to add to my bill. I got another loaf and a black/white cookie. Well, I bite into my cookie and I find a hair. I just discovered Schwartz Bakery just up the street from them on Fairfax, and their challah is some of the best I’ve ever had(no chocolate chip unfortunately). I think that from now on I will be taking my business there.

I’m very disappointed at how rudely I was just treated over the phone. I had a few questions about cakes and I was asked to just come in because they were too busy to talk to me.

I stopped buying bread at Pico store because more often than not the bread was day old and once after a holiday-at least 2days old. Thinking the Fairfax store might be better I tried it yesterday. I specifically asked if the challa was baked that day. I bought it and it wasn’t. I am done with Eilat.

Truly honestly you should go across the street to Schwartz. If I’m waking up extra early to go buy bread in the morning from a bakery, I expect the bread to be fresh, not old. I went there this morning to buy FRESH challah bread for a class presentation and 1) encountered a pretty snippy salesperson, and 2) was given OLD challah bread. Furthermore, this has happened before and I thought I’d give them one more try and after this morning, I will never EVER buy from them again. Shame on them for keeping old bread on hand to sell!

A lot goes into picking your go to bakery. For me, it comes down to one thing: chocolate chip cookies. Eilat Bakery has(hands down) the best chocolate chip cookies in town. Also, I’m a bit of a challah-phile and they have an incredible assortment of challahs. I’m working my way through them. The customer service is excellent and I love that they serve lunch. Anytime I take a box of cookies from Eilat Bakery to an event they are gone instantly. Gift a cookie assortment to your next host and you’ll be the most popular person in the room.

The staff weren’t the most friendly but I don’t care. They have awesome cheese and olive burekas. Delicious. I don’t know of another place that sells these. They have a good cookie assortment as well. The crescent jam cookies are my favorite so far… there is a lot to try here! Also, I came here on a Sunday even though Unilocal has them listed as closed on Sundays. I believe they are open till 7.

I bought an assortment cookies for a meeting. Absolutely fantastic! They were all so delicious and beautiful! Everyone raved about how great they were and wanted to know where I got them. This was my first time going to Eilat, but I will definitely go again and again! Superior quality and taste!

They have pretty fair pastries. Everything is pretty much run of the mill NY style stuff — black & white cookies, chocolate chip cookies, little cakes, etc. I never found them to be so special or spectacular but they usually are delicious. There are better bakeries out there, but these guys have good pastries and good prices.

Ridiculously good, the best kosher place in Los Angeles! Their mini cakes are soo friggin addictive. I love their cappuchino mousse cakes and their fruit sorbet. Many people cater for Bar Mitzvah’s, Weddings and Parties and get their cakes from here. Whenever I am in LA I always try to come by Eilat Bakery, and the prices are very reasonable, too! The coconut rose water rose cake is so rich, so creamy, damn near perfect!
