It’s a hidden place in the hotel. The food was really good. We had the happy hour menu. Will come back again!

I’ve been here maybe 5 times now and I love it. Great cocktails, great food, and very reasonably priced. My fave cocktail here is the Moscow Mule and my fave snack is the pulled chicken quesadilla.

Super swanky spot. Definitely a date spot, definitely a vibe spot, industrial meets artsy feel. Sheik chairs and tables, Native rugs hanging from the walls. I will definitely be back for the sheer fact that it is so fucking cool in here. It’s in the Sheraton hotel and you have to take an elevator underground to get to the restaurant.

I am a pretty patient person, but this is by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We sat down for over an hour and never received any food. We kept asking for service, and server after server said«the food is coming right now» but it never did. We then asked at least four different servers/hosts to speak with the manager but they all deflected saying«the manager will come» without actually getting him. After an hour and a half, they brought out our entrees without ever bringing our appetizers. They acted surprised our appetizers never came but wanted us to proceed with eating our entrees first. The server did not seem apologetic and just wanted us to finish eating. We again demanded to see the manager who finally came(we asked to see him for probably over 20 minutes). Note that the restaurant was nearly empty, and there were set menus(it was New Year’s Eve), so we weren’t sure why the service was so awful. There were just as many servers as tables, and the kitchen knew beforehand exactly what to cook. The manager half heartedly apologized and we got up and left. I can’t tell you if the food is good because we never got to try it. Do not come here. We wasted almost two hours for nothing but terrible, terrible service.

It’s been such a long time since I’ve been an active Unilocaler. Thanks to this terrible experience, here I am– sitting at a burger joint on New Year’s Eve writing this review(more so a complaint). I honestly don’t know where to start. Service was slow. Terribly slow. Servers were inattentive and uncoordinated. There were so many things that occurred tonight not worth mentioning, yet so damning of a place that had so much potential. Cocktails were great. Menu looked amazing. But sitting there for 1.2 hours waiting for food is not okay. Not having anyone come by to even acknowledge the delay or apologize is unacceptable. We got up and left after our entrée came out before our appetizers. The server made no attempt to fix the issue when we told him our appetizers never came out. He actually continued sitting our entrees down expecting to eat it before our appetizers? I’m not sure what he was expecting. Long story short, spoke to the manager, canceled our food, and left. Now we’re sitting at a burger joint down the block writing angry Unilocal reviews to get it out of our system before we continue on to our New Year festivities. What a shitty way to end 2015. Don’t go here. Just don’t. Ugh.

Just finished Dinner. Don’t understand why this place isn’t packed. The food was very good. The princess had the ribs. She loved them. Her wife had the cauliflower entrée. I had the hangar steak and my husband had the the salmon. We all loved our dinner.

Service, food, atmosphere and drinks are great! Greg was awesome! The only improvement is they need a better and more extensive wine list. I would return!

Not realizing this was located within a hotel undergoing a massive renovation, we couldn’t find the place at first. The District is located below the lobby level, and had a really snazzy industrial look. It could be dressy or casual, depending on your mood. The drinks and food were quite good, and the service responsive. Although I’m not sure I would return given all the wonderful choices in DTLA, it was a neat experience and would recommend it for anyone looking for this ‘totally LA’ hotel eatery.

Well, all in all, the dinner was enjoyable. Food was great! Drinks were exciting! Beet drink? My friend ordered 3 she liked it so much. Décor was interesting. Service had trouble, though. We asked for separate checks before we ordered so that we could get our reimbursement. But when we finished dinner, we couldn’t find our waiter to get checks and then it took another 45 minutes to actually get them! That was frustrating. Hopefully it was just a fluke that they didn’t have enough waitstaff that night, but the room was only about half full. Seemed like the one guy was trying to do everything and others were helping, but duties weren’t delineated enough for the work to get done efficiently. He kept running around from here to there, and didn’t even stay still long enough to take all our orders. Hopefully these problems will get fixed soon!

Wanted to be adventurous and explore something new in downtown. This was a swing and a miss. Somehow missed that this was in the basement of the Sheraton hotel which is under major construction. Has an almost cool vibe but misses the mark on most fronts. Waiters are not up to speed on the cocktail or dinner menu, tables were being dragged around throughout our dinner, cheese plate was mediocre and unimaginative(generous). The pros — drinks were decent and LA tacos were good. Wouldn’t be back anytime soon.

Great little bar with an industrial vibe. Tony G is an amazing bartender who is engaging and creative with a sophisticated drink palate. I would make a beeline before the rest of the world discovers what a gem this place is.

I’m more 3.5 stars, but since I think this has only«soft opened», it deserves time to grow. Was initially put off when i realized it was actually a hotel restaurant, below the re-modeling Sheraton, because hotel restaurants are usually overpriced and dated. But they have done a nice job created a modern, industrial look, and the prices weren’t crazy for downtown. There were only a few people at the bar on a Saturday at 7, and my girlfriend and I were the only other people eating; the food was beautifully plated and pretty ok – a nice Heirloom Salad starter, a decent burger though slightly more cooked than I like it, and my GF had the plank salmon which was slightly dry but tasty. Service was friendly but a tad slow, which is always weird when a restaurant is empty, but they are clearly just getting organized. I think this place has a future if it can find a way to make it seem more like a modern DTLA place and not just a hotel joint, but it’s tough to break through the DTLA clutter. Once the Macy’s/Sheraton remodel is done, this place has a chance. They are not affiliated with the hotel officially though, so they are going to have to find a way to add signage on the street so people beyond hotel guests know it exists.

Get the LA Taco and thank me later. Cool interior design/space and love the urban farm-to-table concept.

Rough start. Server was courteous but a bit slow. 2 of 3 dishes were flavorful. Rack of ribs was poorly executed. Skirt steak and Branzino were flavorful and the presentation was good. They need a significant reorganization if they intend to be a going venture. Want to text the awful British Actor on Hell’s Kitchen and give him a new story line.
