Love this Hotel so much, wish I could move in. Haha. Love the bar, pool area, restaurant, rooms. Great place to stay. Parking is only trouble. I just find a side street so I don’t have to pay. ;)

This is for their LAX parking service — not the hotel itself: I had a bad experience before; but decided to try again. I got here the morning of my flight — it was right before 7:30AM… Apparently I missed the shuttle. but it comes every 30 mins on the hour and on the :30. okay. Well, I timed it just right to make it there to batch shuttle by 7:30. I explained to them my flight was at 8:30 — and waiting another half hour would cause me to miss it… tough luck. they had no solution. [at previous spots I’d told them that and they immediately get in a van and we’re off — not these guys…] so I end up having to UBER to the airport. Now it’s the best day: and I had to wait way too long for the shuttle: sitting at the RED pick up sign as I saw the same vans passing me 3 times each before mine finally showed up. The driver was very unfriendly. Didn’t even help me with my bags [in my experience they usually do] No apologies for being so late, ETC. I won’t be using this parking service again and will sway my friends and colleagues away from it at all costs — unless I want them to miss their flights.

If you need a place to crash why not here? If you are looking for something more go somewhere else, but this place is good enough. Flight crews were in and out so they are legit enough for people to rest their weariness. Its a boutique hotel right by the airport. The platform beds are a handful of inches from the floor but comfy. Grocery store right next door Trader Joes, CVS, and Kohls 5 minutes away. There seems to be a restaurant in the lobby for breakfast. There is a Roscoes Chicken & Waffles 10 minutes away. We used a Groupon for our stay and we did not resent anything.

If I could give 0 stars I would… there is no one here that understands customer service. I was sent here when my flight was cancelled. The shuttle came and took us from the airport to the hotel. Once we all arrived, apparently they ran out of rooms and couldn’t put us anywhere else. So they told us we had to go back to the airport to get new accommodation. I realize they were full, but they didn’t try to help us at all with looking for another place to stay or see what they could do. They didn’t care and just moved right along to the next person. Even the manager just walked away from me when I was trying to ask for help. It is shocking how places like this can exist. This hotel needs to rethink its management and staff.

A ZERO(0) Star Hotel! Complete Nightmare! Before anyone plans on a last minute stay to this hotel, I would urge you continue to read this review in particular. On a Thursday night, I ran out of quick hotel options after several calls to neighboring motels/hotels, which were all surprisingly booked, so I decided to make a final attempt on Hotels Tonight, in order to find a hotel within 30 minutes from my SUPERIMPORTANTMEETING in the morning, which was also in less than 8 hours from my arrival to Custom Hotel. Meeting went fantastic by the way, regardless of this DISGUSTING&SHOCKING experience with my stay. It all started with the Hotels Tonight app. The app was extremely easy to navigate & it showed this Custom Hotel as available to book a room, 1st choice second to a $ 200. I went on to pay a $ 115 fee for a queen-king sized bed, in whatever room, just so I can get a quick nights rest after a 2 hour drive from San Diego. Below are the things that went wrong in an order. 1– I arrived to a $ 30 mandatory valet fee, annoying but no problems there. 2– I check in. THEYSOLDMY F’ing room & so they continued blamed the Hotels Tonight app. So their resolution was a room they have set aside for cases like this. So I was fine with it & gladly accepted the room. After 15 minutes of waiting, I get my keycard & head to my room. 3– I go upstairs & open the doors to a room with a giant window on the second floor with one projector screen type of curtain that just failed to stay down so I had 0 privacy. I attempted to fix the problem &FINALLY after 15 – 20 minutes of pulling the projector screen up/down for some privacy because street side visibility is quite invading of privacy. 4– They gave me a room with two FULLSIZED beds that were HARDASROCKS! For one, I am too tall to barely comfortably sleep on a queen sized bed. Two, I sleep on my side so morning shoulder & neck pain was quite unavoidable. 5– No comforters, just a couple layers of sheets on the beds so I turned the heater up to 80 as I don’t really need a comforter to sleep. — Keep in mind I have an important meeting in the morning so the last thing I want to do is fight with hotel staff in efforts to get a more decent room. Any conversations would have resulted in no sleep because I would’ve been furious and I knew this was the last EMERGENCYROOM. As an adult, I kept myself at peace and headed into the bathroom. 6– The bathtub had only one shower door… Really. Dam that sucks, and the inevitable was bound to happen, you know what I mean? Yes the bathroom flooded after a long relaxing shower. Still pissed & furious, I calmed myself down & threw 3 of the 4 available towels on the floor & solved that problem. 7– I get out the bathroom, casually walking around the hotel room in my «birthday suit» preparing for the morning meeting & guess what… That f’ing projector screen of a curtain had rolled up halfway up & I didn’t catch it for 15 minutes. Maintenance seemed like a commonality on this room. Whatever, this wasn’t a reason to flip out or loose it, and who cares if people saw me naked from the street. 8– Broken heater/ac system. There was noise from the heating unit but it apparently didn’t work because I woke up an hour later to salvage the sheets from the other bed in order to create a warmer sleeping experience since it was FREEZING. — There is more. But for now if you get room #412, I think that was the room, get a refund and find yourself another hotel.

Mmmmm… If you need a place to crash on the cheap, want a grocery store and coffee shop adjacent to the building and free airport shuttle this might be the call. Plus — some ok restaurants close — free shuttle — reasonable price — trendy? — safe — pool bar /restaurant looks ok — 3 miles from LAX on way to Venice /Santa Monica Minus — this is a converted dorm and smells and feels like that — carpet in room was just plain gross — clean room? I suspect you can usually get a good price here and it is not too bad. Location is better than Century Blvd.

This review is just for the airport parking they offer. This review is not based on the hotel or hotel service when staying as a guest. This is a late review that should have been given for the time period July 2015. It was our first time trying this hotel as airport parking for a family vacation, July 2015. It was not good. First, when we arrived there were no clear signs indicating where we should drop off our car. There needs to be signs or instructions given on how to proceed. Second, there was only one van shuttle and it goes every 30 minutes. I hope things have a changed. We did time them and it was more than 30 minutes more like 50 minutes. Also, there was one passenger holding everyone and they wouldn’t leave him with his business to handle. Which was personal and had nothing to do with getting the shuttle. All passengers had to speak up to get the man and the driver to go. Of course, as Murphy’s law would have it we were stuck in traffic to get into the airport. Everyone was running a whole hour and half behind. We were all worried we weren’t going to make our flights. It was truly a close call for all except the man that delayed it all. For the pickup, same thing we were told they came by to pick us up and when we called they were on their way back to hotel. Then, we had to wait another 30 mins for their come back. Which ended up being an hour. Mind you we came in at 10pm and we have a 5 year old in tow. We gave no tip and were on the road at midnight. We truly had the worst experience. We do not recommend this hotel as airport parking service. Save your time and use a real airport parking service. I hope management can look at their process to run it smoother and they really need at least 3 main shuttle vans to be efficient. Instructions should be given before hand to customers as well.

We stayed at this place because Groupon got a deal on it. The location was nice, right next to Ralph’s market and some liquors and restaurants. The room was spacious with down to the floor style bed. Cons: shower head was extremely loud. You can hear the next door or people in the hallway talking. $ 27 a day for valet parking since they have no self parking. Wish I would have known that was the case. The housekeepers were talking loudly while cleaning the rooms at 9 am! Probably won’t stay again next time.

I got this hotel the very day I arrived(stranded in LAX). I guess I lucked out because my room was a very good size(corner room), indeed quite«trendy», and with a stellar view. The bathroom was clean and well kept. The staff was courteous. The hotel provides a free shuttle from LAX(make sure to call when you’re outside the terminal under the red courtesy shuttles sign). Walking distance is a Ralph’s supermarket with a Starbucks inside, a gym across the street, and a few more places to eat.

Convenient location but personnel need a lil’ push. Not greetings at all, they are misinformed and they act like you are bothering then just by being there at 5am, when they are on a night shift but seems like you just woke them up. Luckily, we didn’t have to check in. Hopefully things will improve.

Hmmmm I need to go with a two star on this one. To start off the elevators and so small I still have panic attacks thinking about them. Our room was cool they try this really modern twist but they aren’t really updated. I had a really nice surprise when I got into the shower… a huge nasty clump of someone’s hair was on the soap rack… nasty! The bed was comfy no big issues there, the breakfast was nasty… nasty…nasty. The staff was pretty cool but no one had anything nice to say about the hotel… which didn’t surprise me, at least we agreed! I wouldn’t stay at this hotel if I had a choice. Thanks for the free room United you assholes.

You can read the rest of my review, it’s a logical, serious review. But before all that. I have to add this: THEREWAS A BUTTPLUGINMYROOM! I opened the upper closet and took out the iron, there was a butt plug sitting upright on the shelf. I called the front desk and told them about it — asked them to remove the thing. First response was«And it’s not yours?» Um… no. Can you please remove it and clean my room? There was no apology and no offer to compensate me in any way. I’ll never stay at this hotel again. It’s borderline crack house and hooker hotel. Here’s the rest of my review… I’m an L.A. native who moved away and return often for business. I’ve been coming to this hotel for about five years. Yeah, when it was redone it was a «Trading Spaces» remodel. e.g. some cheap upgrades and painted surfaces. This remodel is now showing its wear. This hotel feels like a hostel for adults. PROs: It’s relatively cheap and centrally located. There’s a Supermarket next door where you can buy food/snacks. CONs: Shabby interior. Feels like it’s run by kids or college students. $ 27 for overnight valet parking(the only hotel parking option) — or you can park on the street. No restaurant, no room service. Really, it’s like a youth hostel.

we got the hotel for one night for $ 202. They ask for another 50 $ but would get them back next day. The room was great the view was amazing. The bathroom needs improvement. This is where it goes all wrong they took 350 $ out of are card and wouldn’t get them back until three day later we don’t know why but we got are money back. I left my jacket in the room and called more then four times throw out five days to see if they have it. One guy that answered the phone was so rude, I asked for a manger and told he wasn’t there. The last time I called I talked to a manger he said he would called me back. He didn’t in to the next day. In my mind it doesn’t take one day to go look for it ether you have or you don’t. They really do have bad customer service Over all be sure they don’t take more money that you payed for, the room was good. needs better customer service.

This place is referred to as a «boutique hotel» and I am still a bit confused. It’s got a unique vibe and the staff is really super friendly and helpful. The rooms are super small but they do make an effort to make it look trendy. The dark blue/grey carpet is like indoor/outdoor carpet. The walls are dark grey, the beds are white with bright red cushion accents. I commented that it reminded me of a dorm room. The bathrooms are really small. Clean, but definately older. Some cracks in the walls and tattered lamps. Upon further research of the building, we found out it was(in its past life) indeed a dorm building for Loyola Marymount University! They have a lovely pool area with fire pit that we never got to visit because it was closed. The bar and restaurant were closed but it looked really pretty. The bed linens and bathroom towels were clean. It is conveniently located near LAX. We stayed after catching a concert at The Forum which was about a 15 minute drive via Über. We stayed on the 6th floor and it was quiet. I gave it 3 stars because it could present a little nicer with some minor updates.

The room was clean. Shower head didn’t work correctly with most water still spouting out of the bottom. At checkin we advised the employee we needed a shuttle at 530 — he smiled and advised it would be here at 530 and to wait in the lobby for it. The next morning we show up and are told«you didn’t put your name on a list take a cab.» Pretty awful checkin service to give us bad information on getting the shuttle and terrible customer service on the back end telling us to figure it out based on their misinformation.

Location. Location. Location. Less than 15 minutes from LAX and surrounded by plenty of places to eat or grab a cocktail or two. I got a great deal on a night’s stay here over Hotwire and after reading the reviews did not know if it was going to be all that great. So glad I was proven wrong, I would say everything except for the outrageous parking prices($ 28 a night?!!) was perfect. Ridiculously inexpensive for LA. Clean, friendly service — but NOT the«newest» hotel in the neighborhood.

My jail cell… I mean hotel room was awful! The beds are as hard as the floor, the room has no furniture, not even a bedside lamp. Smells of wet paint. Woke up to ants in my bed(and no I haven’t eaten and left crumbs) Unfortunately I have no choice in staying here as my company arranges it. I filed a review with them so hopefully they stop using this place.

I only recommend this hotel if you get a crazy good deal on Hotel Tonight app, and then even then if you just need a place to crash and to be super close to LAX to get out of dodge. Not anything nice about the place at all. Also, you can park your call in the Bowling Alley parking garage in the back, and then walk, versus paying for valet, to save a buck, you won’t get towed if you hide in the bowling crowd, but avoid the supermarket section of the parking lot. Rooms are clean enough to sleep there, but the carpets were filthy, the elevators were in and out of service, the cleaning lady came into the room at like 8AM without knocking(and I think she really wanted to clean with us still in there), and the front desk service was slow and unhelpful on pretty much any topic we tried. The worst was the TV remote control, it literally had semen on it(dried and caked on there), we almost threw up.

So glad I was proven wrong, I would say everything except for the outrageous parking prices($ 28 a night?!!) was perfect. Parking problem easily solved by lot across the street or street parking, both free if you are lucky, we had no problem. Check in service was very nice, the lobby as well as the entire hotel modern, new and very well maintained. They have a different themed lounge on each floor, a restaurant and bar as well as a pool with lounge area, checked all of them out, all nice. Rooms are clean and pretty big in size. Nice shower products, really nothing to complain about, location is great, close to airport and the beach, all around nice stay here.
