For starters this place is definitely more about getting cute pictures and the looks of their product more than the quality of their product. The prices start at $ 4 and the add ons make the price rack up. Cons: 1. With a name like cotton hi you would think everything came with cotton candy, but nope. It’s an extra $ 1 to add it to your choice 2. Portion sizes are really tiny 3. With something so sweet you would think there’s a water dispenser but there wasn’t one available 4. Parking is very limited. We just did meter parking on the street. 5. Markers weren’t available to draw on the glass window :( Pros: 1. The product makes for a nice picture Overall I wouldn’t drive all the way here for regular tasting ice cream and their small portions AND still have to worry about parking.

Cotton candy and ice cream? Yes please. I got the tiramisu flavor and it was awesome and such a fun treat. The ice cream is super creamy and the cotton candy isn’t too sweet/sugary. I’ll have to go back to try the other flavors!

Why don’t they have these dessert places in the bay?! Urg I need more good dessert places that are great for instagram photos cause I’m tryna be a trendy ~foodbl0gg3r~ u know? But in all seriousness, this is a very cute place with good dessert. The quality of the dessert itself is probably around 3 stars but I’m giving it an extra star because of the IG factor.

This store is a prime example of food diversity in LA. If you can think of it we probably have a store for it. This simple yet elegant and brilliant idea of adding flavored cotton candy over pure milk ice cream makes for an amazing desert that is a treat for your taste buds. First of the ice cream it’s very simple milk ice cream not too sweet but packed with great flavors. And for the star ingredient is the cotton candies the flavors of the candies are just amazingly accurate and doesn’t leave any bad after taste. Price is very reasonable, with a very friendly service and a great atmosphere. The store itself has a very good classic ice cream parlor charm to it with a modern twist. Parking is usually full but plenty of parking right outside the Lot.

It’s ok! Nothing wow about. I ordered the tiramisu«the best» in there. But to me it’s OKay! No wow factor. My daughter order her own request. Milk OG soft serve, brownie bites and strawberry cotton candy. Ok she liked everything except the strawberry cotton candy that tasted like coffee! It even looked like coffee flavor. Cause I swore strawberry was pink. Which I did see pink in the container of the Decour display. I even tasted it and it did actually taste like coffee. But when I asked the dude behind the counter which was not so friendly but just ehhh attitude he said it was strawberry. So pretty much it was a waste. Not even the son liked it. He said it wasn’t strawberry. Oh well it was a good try but not gonna come back. Under $ 10. For both soft serve. At least the young lady was friendlier. Parking sucks! Valet or street parking.

CottonHi softees look adorable in pictures but they’re all just for show… honestly the soft serve here isn’t that great. The actual soft serve is OK, but it’s just extremely difficult to eat because of the over-flowing cotton candy and the extra toppings. We got the tiramisu softee and mango cheesecake softee with salted caramel cotton candy. Most of the softees don’t come with cotton candy, and you need to pay extra for it as well as for the other toppings. I prefer the tiramisu softee, but be careful when you pump the little dropper filled with espresso because my friend sprayed it all on me –__– LOL Overall, this place is cute, and I would definitely recommend coming once to take pictures, but beyond that one time, I don’t think it’s worth it to come again. If you like soft serve ice cream I recommend Honeymee that is nearby!

***valet parking only***(maybe only at night; not sure if it’s the same during the day). Ordered an ORIGINAL milk CottonHi and a recommendation from the staff, berry milk something. Usually, original things are always best but I felt like it was basic. 1 star for how they put the cotton candy on top for nice instapics tho but I personally wouldn’t come back. Ice cream was really plain. didn’t taste milky or sweet; could be because I came at 10PM? Almost closing time I guess. When I first came in, I wanted to get samples of the ice cream but the guy literally looked me dead in the eye like I was dumb and ask«sample?» Brushed it off and asked to try to red velvet ice cream and he says they’re pre-made and there are no samples… wth? Lol okay. I’m pretty sure pre-made ice creams could be sampled but whatever. Ended up asking if it’s better than y he berry milk ice cream but he recommended berry milk so, trust the worker, right? Then I asked for the cotton candy on top and he looked as if he was annoyed by my order. Assumed he had a bad day because everyone does but then he turns to his Co worker, chats and exchange laughs. Jeez lol Anywho, wouldn’t recommend coming here. If ya have a sweet tooth, McDonald’s $ 1 ice cream will hit the spot!

Came here for the IG lol… It was just ice cream and cotton candy on top. I liked the cotton candy on top since they had various flavors that you can’t try elsewhere. I got the vanilla ice cream with mango syrup and mango chunks with cream cheese chunks which was yummy but overall sweetness in a cup! No Restroom in the building btw!

I didn’t realize that this place was in the same plaza as KyoChon! I’m not a fan of cotton candy, but this dessert looked interesting, so we gave it a try. We got the mango cheese delight and tiramisu with cotton candy for an extra dollar each. My friend also ordered a mojito, which came with a little cotton candy on top. I like that there are different flavors of cotton candy, but it was still too sweet for me. The presentation was nice and service was fast… If I come back I would just get the soft serve by itself since it was pretty good.

I LOVETHISPLACE!!! They got the type of ice cream I love. Full of flavor but not sweet at all! No parking in the shopping plaza, you will need to park somewhere else or be nice to the valet and let them allow you to leave the car for a few minutes.

CottonHi is essentially ice cream with cotton candy lumped on top. It’s a novel concept but it works quite nicely. The ice cream flavors are a little more limited than other ice cream shops, but it’s the cotton candy flavors that provide you more customization for your order. From original to mint to salted caramel, your cotton candy can taste whatever you want it to be. You’ll probably want to get the Tiramisu if it’s your first time here. The quality of the ice cream and cotton candy are decent, they’re not mindblowingly good but they do their job. When you get your ice cream, the amount of cotton candy is about the size of your face, so you’ll probably have to eat some of it before you can even access your ice cream. But once you can reach the ice cream, start mixing the cotton candy and ice cream together, I might be doing it wrong but it does make my ice cream more enjoyable. Honestly, CottonHi is one of those trendy places that people love because of the concept but it doesn’t warrant multiple visits.

My boyfriend had heard about this place from a friend and decided to take me for a valentines date(knowing I love ice cream and I love cute shit). Looking at the reviews and pictures, I immediately knew I’d be getting the tiramisu with coffee cotton candy. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert and I love all things coffee flavored, so I was pretty damn excited. My boyfriend ended up getting a red velvet and I don’t remember which cotton candy. Did they come out looking instagram-perfect? Yes they did. Did they taste as good as I thought they would? No they didn’t. Mine was barely a hint of any sort of coffee flavor. The side of espresso in the pipette was strange. I initially drizzled it over the top of my cotton candy(like I had seen people do in videos posted), but all that did was melt away my cotton candy. I used the rest directly on my ice cream… wasn’t impressed. My boyfriends was seriously just vanilla ice cream and some crumbs of red velvet cake sprinkled over it… nothing red velvety about it. Overall, it was fine… not as great as I expected, not terrible… probably won’t be back though

So obsessed! I tried the tiramisu($ 4.75) + coffee cotton candy(+$ 1) and it was delicious!!! Kinda on the pricier side but the ice cream was really rich and creamy and best of all, not overwhelmingly sweet. Not a fan of super sugary, sweet stuff and I liked this place because the soft serve is more milky than sweet. Decorations were great – the lady finger gives a nice crunch and it comes with a coffee dropper thing that melts your cotton candy. My friend and I kept choking on the coffee powder for some reason though so I would be careful! Next time I came I tried the mango cheesecake flavor w/o the cotton candy. Also really delicious(but I prefer the tiramisu) and it’s topped with mango & pear bits and cheesecake bites. Size-wise I personally think the portions are kinda tiny and too small to share. Nice treat to have though! Definitely one of my favorite dessert places in Ktown.

Dessert… my favorite time of the day! If it looks good I’ll eat it and Cotton Hi makes dessert look good! Their fun creative desserts are almost too cute to eat! Their idea is original, soft serve ice cream with cotton candy on top. You might think this is only appealing to children but the adults are crazy for this place too! The way that it works is you pick your ice cream flavor and your cotton candy flavor. It’s $ 1 extra to add cotton candy. I decided to go with the red velvet flavor. It came with red velvet cake crumbs, cream cheese, sauce drizzle and yogurt chips. I substituted the yogurt chips for Lucky Charms marshmallows. Yes they do modifications! I got salted caramel cotton candy on top. I thought the salted caramel tasted interesting but I still enjoyed it. I have never been to a place where you have a choice of all these different cotton candy’s flavors. I wouldn’t mind returning and trying more of their flavors if I was in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way. Even though this is a small place I think it’s a great place to bring kids, they are easily amused and they seem to love it. I saw a lot of happy children in the ice cream shop. Keep in mind seating is limited so you might not get to sit down. Also the parking lot is a very small and unless your paying for valet it’s going to be rough to find parking. You might want to consider walking there!

SOFTSERVEBOTTOM, COTTONCANDYTOP I love both individually so why not have them both together. There were options. You can choose a soft serve flavor and a cotton candy flavor and then there were 8 special flavored ones. I went with one of the special ones because the typical pick your boring soft serve flavor and cotton candy sounded boring. A dessert like this needed excitement. So when I saw PARTYTIME — that was the one for me. PARTYTIME — Pop Rocks, Chocolate Drizzle on vanilla soft serve with HIBISCUS Cotton Candy. My mouth was rocking every bite, i haven’t had Pop Rocks since I was a child so to have them once again was in a strange way exciting. I love anything hibiscus and it was my first time having hibiscus cotton candy, you can taste the flavor but it’s subtle. When you get ½ through your desert you seem to be «over it». I like the place and the flavor but it was too much for one sitting after a big dinner prior to the stop here. I’ll be back to get another party in my mouth moment. Until the next review…

I love the new swarm of dessert spots popping up in K-town, keeping us on our toes. CottonHi delivers some cool new concepts; some work while some don’t. The tiramisu was pretty good. I enjoyed dropping the coffee onto the ice cream with the provided espresso dropper. The lady finger on the other hand, was extremely stale and flavorless. Be careful not to chip your tooth eating it. Their new berry flavor was actually my preferred from the two I tried. It was more refreshing and fresher. The cotton candy on top tasted as expected. But I wasn’t quite sure how it really incorporates with the ice cream. It feels more like two different desserts that don’t quite go well together. It’s an interesting idea, but doesn’t execute. Especially because it’s sweet and more sweet. The soft serve itself is standard. Tastes good like you’d expect. Nothing exceptional about it. For $ 5 they seemed sorta pricy, but it’s definitely worth a try. Parking is a nightmare since it’s in the Nandarang plaza with Kyochon and KBBQ. They have valet, but do you really want to valet for ice cream?

Nestled right in the heart of Ktown, I the middle of a busy plaza full of restaurants. Eat kbbq next door, come here for dinner. We walked in to no line, but it was nice, bc given it was our first time there, we got a lot of help from the staff. It’s great bc they have a lot of options for their cotton candy flavors, and how you want to eat it! You can choose to put in on regular ice cream, but theres only three flavors: milk, green tea, and something else I ended up getting mint cotton candy on top of my green tea ice cream, and it was a great mix. My friend got salted caramel cotton candy on top of milk, and it was also an interesting mix. They Aldo have a crazy menu of other ice cream dessert/drinks that I’d love to try, and you can add cotton candy on top for a dollar more. It’s very cheap, with each drink only ranging from $ 4 – 7! I’d definitely come back and try the other flavors!

I remember when I first book marked this place– The hype was reeeeal. It’s worth coming if you want a. Spectacular picture! The appearance is really nice with the combination of cotton candy/soft serve or the specialities! I’m a huge fan of cotton candy, but the way that it is served here with the ice cream– it gets increasingly messy and sticky. On multiple occasions, some of my friends would just take off the cotton candy and never eat it again. I honestly can’t tell a HUGE difference between«organic» cotton candy(which they serve), and the normal kind. except for that maybe the cotton candy here is more. thicker(?) The ice cream is soft serve. Your standard soft serve :) Personally like Honeymee soft serve better which is also in Korea town. The tiramisu speciality looks good though! I’ve never tried that. Parking is a nightmare. The lot is really small, and I’ve had to come back in and out three times before and ended up leaving after not finding a space. The service is friendly :) They take their time explaining the your questions Would definitely come here to show a friend for the first time, but probably wouldn’t ever crave this over the other desserts available in Koreatown :/

Soft serve ice cream with a twisted flavor! The Tiramisu is really good. Be warned, the portions are on the smaller side. Nothing you can actually share with someone else, I did see people sharing but call me greedy, I think it’s too small to share. I thought it was coffee based, but it’s a squirt of coffee you can squeeze into it. Well spent five bucks in Ktown. They have their own parking which is always a plus in this side of town. I didn’t try it with the cotton candy on it, but spend $ 1 more and you can try it if you’d like. Enjoy!

Found this place by total chance because my mom and me had a bit time to spare. We got the Mango one to share with the Strawberry flavored Cotton Candy. Favorite part of this was the cheesecake bites, they were delish! My mom is picky when it comes to desserts in general and she loved this place. I would come back to try the other foodies but the parking is a pain! You need to «valet» for plaza parking, even though I noticed this trend around this part of town. Or you can park in the«to go» section, where you need to tell the guy that you are only taking it to go. I told em it was to go but Tbh we just ate our soft serve there.
