Lovely interior, fast and friendly service. Oh and the tropical special is SO good, definitely try it if you are having trouble deciding what to get! 0% syrup and no ice, perfect sweetness and temperature. Boba is also perfectly chewy and slightly sweet. Found a new favorite in Westwood.

I live a block away from here & my roommates love boba & go here often so i decides to try the place. Twice I’ve gone to this location and twice it disappointed me. I got the taro with 50% sugar and pudding. It was delicious, but too sweet for me. Last time i got green tea, 50% sugar & it was still too sweet. I didn’t deduct stars because of the boba tho, they both were still delicious. It was the cashiers who disappointed me. They were international so i guess we had a language barrier, but as clear and basic my responses were, it was like they didn’t even listen. It was very irritating but i did my best to be calm. Here’s an example from today… Me: «Can i get 50% sugar?» Cashier: «I can only do 50% sugar.» Me: «I want 50% sugar.» Cashier: «There is only 30, 50, &100% sugar.» Me: «I know. I want 50% sugar.» I would have probably given this a 4⁄5 stars if they had staff that actually listened and didn’t look like they hated working there. Other than that, the bobas I’ve gotten so far were pretty good.

I love the drinks here and have become completely addicted to the passion fruit green tea with sago and coconut jelly, no sugar, less ice(and yes, I love that you can customize your drink to that degree). My husband also likes the mango yogurt drink and the honey lemon juice — it’s never difficult to convince him that we need to stop here(or at the Sawtelle location) for drinks. This location has a much larger seating area so definitely nicer for hanging out. Minimum $ 5 credit card charge.

Very delicious drinks! The grapefruit yogurt and mango yogurt flavors are my favorite. They bring back that nostalgic childhood longing for Yakult. When I’m feeling extra hungry I’ll add egg custards along with some boba. The house milk tea is a fantastic choice for something sweet and simple! Also, watch your step on the way out! There’s a small step by the door I always seem to forget exists :)

I usually visit the Coco in Sawtelle, but stopped by this one since I was in Westwood. I don’t think the location is as great at making drinks as the one on Sawtelle, because the Passion Fruit Green Tea with Coconut Jelly I ordered was too sweet! Or had too much sugar in it. Looks like there’s lots of seating space though if you ever need to study!

Typical boba shop but all I can say is that the drinks here are really milky. I’ve tried the matcha latte and jasmine milk tea and both tasted like milk with a little bit of flavor. The workers take their sweet time making each drink too. I prefer Koala T over CoCo.

Excellent boba place! The workers are all super friendly and if you have no idea what to order you can just ask them. They make your boba very quickly and the place has a nice vibe. Best boba in Westwood.

Not so great service. I asked if they gave samples. After having to repeat myself twice before him understanding me, he said no. As there was clearly sample sizes cups sitting right there. I ordered the taro cake bubble milk tea. bleh too sweet and too cakey, if you’re in the mood for batter sure go for it. Anyways it looked like a cool place to sit in but my friend and I left since the wait staff made us feel super unwelcomed :/

Coco’s is one of the better boba places around UCLA, however, I don’t think that this Coco’s location is as good as the location on Sawtelle. Their service can be slow and is sometimes inconsistent. They have a large selection of different teas and milk teas, fresh fruit teas, smoothies, and yogurt-based drinks. But my favorite drinks are their milk tea, jasmine milk tea, and mango slushie. In addition, you can customize how much sugar(0−100%) and ice(no ice, less ice, etc.) you want in your drink, and whether or not you want any additives such as boba, egg pudding, sago, grass jelly, etc. which are all extra. FYI, I would stay away from their chocolate drinks. They’re basically just chocolate milk with some added syrup depending on which flavor you get. Also, if you’re wondering what the difference is between a slush and a yogurt slush i.e. Mango Slush vs. Mango yogurt slush, the yogurt slush just has a bottle of those Korean probiotic yogurt drinks in it. It’s similar to those Yakult bottles. Finally, this place has no minimum for debit cards, but they do have a $ 5 minimum for credit cards.

I would’ve given 2 stars if I were to base this on my first couple times here, but since then they’ve been steadily improving and hopefully someday it’ll be comparable to the Sawtelle location. Sadly they have a ways to go. The location is great, particularly for UCLA students who don’t have a car and can’t drive to the other location. Coco is loads better than any other boba drinks you can find in Westwood, so this spot would’ve been a godsend for me if I was still around. I don’t live in Westwood anymore, but it’s conveniently located on the way between the campus and bus stop, so it’s super easy for me to pick up a drink on my way home from class. The issue with this scenario is that if I did want to grab something, I’d have to tack on an extra 15 – 20 minutes to my commute because that’s how long it takes them to make a drink here. They are SEVERELY understaffed, which is excusable in the first few months of operation but now, having seen the number of people they should expect, is pretty disappointing. There’s almost always a line here and if you come here during peak times(especially on weekends), expect to wait an extra 20 minutes just to get to the cashier… and then another 15 minutes to get your drink. As others have mentioned, the layout is poorly designed and creates this awkward system of people going in and out. The pick-up area at the counter was also inconvenient, but they’ve since put out a sign to keep the space open. It’s nice that they have a sit-down area, but I hate the whole«clubby» vibe they’re trying to go for. The drinks here aren’t as good as the Sawtelle location, but still way better than any other place nearby. They’re still new, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt regarding all the qualms I have with this place.

This place is loud and dark and you can’t look up anywhere without seeing some bizarre or creepy music video playing. SLOWESTSERVICEEVER. Boba is mediocre. Try the Coco down by Sawtelle if you have an extra 10 minutes– it’s worth the trip.

This place rocks! It’s a very good pick me up and reminiscent of Japanese on the go drinks. They are fast, clean and friendly. I love the fact that they hot seal each drink and put them in little bags to make them easier to tote. I like the Jasmine tea with less ice. My wife likes the«Two Ladies» and if she doesn’t want the pudding, she goes for the bubble tea. I wish they were open in the morning!

This place is really convenient for UCLA students. I came here and tried the Green Tea Yogurt which was okay. Not much green tea flavor. I should’ve stuck with the house milk tea. There are a tables and seats available and bar seating. Staff was friendly and the place was fairly clean.

It was going to be a long drive back to SGV from UCLA and I figured some boba for the road would be a swell idea. I’ve been hearing good things about CoCo, and since it was on my walk back to my car, I figured a stop would be just the thing. I ordered the jasmine green tea, medium size, with boba, 50% sugar and less ice. The drink plus topping add-on equaled $ 3 flat. The tea was just right, but the boba could’ve been better. With 50% sugar, the drink wasn’t sugary at all. Must be because the boba is not honey boba, which would’ve added some additional sweetness. I finished my green tea with boba feeling like something was missing. Not a bad option for boba, but not the top of my list. No minimum for debit cards, but there is a $ 5 minimum for credit cards. Otherwise, pay with cash. Stamp cards available here. Parking is the usual with Westwood(cough Broxton lot cough).

I’ve heard of Coco’s before coming here, I believe it’s an international branch, and so my expectations were high when visiting, especially after seeing the beautiful interior design they have compared to other bubble tea(or what Americans would call, Boba) places that I’ve visited. The service here I have to say, is extremely slow…, but they get their work done. The bubble tea here is decent, I’ve only really tried their milk tea and nothing else really so I can’t comment on those. I have to ask them for reduced sugar because their usual bubble tea is way way WAY too sweet for my taste buds. Otherwise it’s a good place to go to when you’re craving your taiwanese goodies and is in my opinion a decent price that you pay.

Their boba is hands down the best I’ve tried in la.(Sgv has really great ones too though but who wants to drive to sgv). Their fresh fruit teas are hands down the best. I always get their grapefruit green tea, it’s amazing bc it’s freaking FRESH grapefruit. Like if you want legit real Taiwanese made boba you must must go here. Their drinks with the whip cream on top is my favorite also! The parking sucks here bc you have to find street parking, but it’s so worth it, and it’s closer than the sawtelle Coco’s. But both are amazing quality.

I wanted to try this place since my wife said«there’s always a line out the door». So being it was new and I had time, and there wasn’t a line — we went in with hopes of the perfect boba and delicious teas were slowly thwarted by the lack of knowledge of the cashier who made our drinks and at the un-original thought behind this place. And for the price it wasn’t what we expected… We ended up not finishing, but the coco jelly is the 2 stars. If I could get an Ice cold drink(with less ice please) and the jelly I would be a happy camper. I’ll try it again soon, but not THAT soon.

I came here for the Soft Opening, so it was open only from 1pm-7pm. I had actually stopped in the day before but the line was too long. Today it wasn’t so bad. They are a bit slow but they only had two people working. It also looked like they only had one machine. However it’s the soft opening so I’m sure they’re getting additional ones. In any case, I got the«buddies» option, which is boba with egg pudding and grass jelly. I always get this anyways, even if they don’t have the combo premade. The pricing was $ 4 flat including tax for a medium size. However if you check in Unilocal or Facebook, you get a free upgrade to the large. My complaint about this place is the layout. It’s weird. You walk in and there is literally a tail that guides you to the counter. Then there is this really long counter with very few tables. When you order, it’s very confusing where you wait for your drink. If you keep going you’re locked in this seating area with no door so you actually have to go back out through the same entrance where the entrance line forms. They really need a second Exit only foot or they need to remove part of the railing. This is more of a takeout place because I didn’t really see any tables. Counters are not that conducive to talking.

The soft opening of this one in Westwood has been a blessing and a curse. Coco has been one of my favorite boba chains here in LA(I frequent the Sawtelle one). So when a closer one opened in Westwood, I thought it would be more convenient. It’s closer, yes. But I dare say the workers have yet to figure out how to run this one(including how to make the drinks). Also like others have mentioned, the layout is terrible. There is only one entrance/exit, but the line always blocks the entrance. The one good thing though is that for the soft opening, if you check in on Unilocal, you can get a free upgrade to large!

I’ve tried Coco’s on Sawtelle and I was a bit underwhelmed. When I heard that they were up and running in my neighborhood, I wanted to give it another try. Making a mid-afternoon run for a cold beverage, I met up with a friend and stood in line for about 10 minutes. Looking around the place it appeared as though they made poor design choices with the former Honeymade space. With a barrier up at the door to presumably improve flow, the customer traffic really piled up as the entrance door was also the exit door. Therefore, after getting a drink, every customer had to squeeze back around the barricade and along the line of people waiting in order to exit the shop. Aesthetics aside, I was hoping that the product would be good. Let’s start with the service, which was great. The lady taking orders was pleasant and willing to describe the menu items that were a little unclear. With that said, Coco should consider adding brief descriptions of some of the nondescript drinks. The people making the drinks were working hard and they wiped the cups down before they handed them to the customers, which I really appreciated. And when I asked for a napkin, they found one quickly. Now, the question of why there are no napkins on the counter is another issue, as is the rationale for a DJ area at the end of the counter… I wanted something sweet so I got the coco chocolate, which tasted like hot chocolate poured over ice. It was ok it the powdery flavor was a bit off-putting. But, in comparison to the last drink I had there — the lemon dunk — this was much better. Of the Westwood boba places, I like Koala Tapioca the best, then this place, and lastly Boba Loca. Check-in on Unilocal or Facebook fora free size upgrade.
