First things first… we almost didn’t get a chance to check out this club in December of 2015 because we firmly believe in protocol. We’ve ran groups, we’ve hosted parties, we’ve organized events so we know just how much work goes into making sure everything goes off without a hitch. With that being said, we tried for about a week to get in touch with this club in order to have our membership approved to even go. We are members of a lot of clubs all over the United States and we know that just because the website says you need to do this or do that, does not mean that you always have to in order to attend a party. But we like to be respectful and follow said rules of clubs we’ve never attended. When we say we tried for a week, we actually mean a little over a week and luckily we decided last minute on Saturday to try and call one last time before the club opened to see if we could finally do our phone interview… they just told us to come to the party. Second thing, this club is no longer in Beverly Hills.
Okay, now that we got that out there… this was a very nice club. Minus the whole waiting to hear back from in order to do our interview, minus paying more ahead of time online then we would have at the door since we got there early, and minus not getting a tour (we really like tours, especially of new clubs because you know you don’t miss anything if you explore by yourself and good ambassadors and hosts tend to make sure that they introduce you to people)… it was a very nice club.
The club is located just minutes from downtown L.A. and not far from the 101; which made it very easy to get to. Like many big city vanilla clubs do, they offered valet for $ 10 which was nice for a lifestyle club because there was not really a lot of parking in the area where we were, plus it made leaving a lot easier. If you arrive at the club before 10 we believe, you get $ 10 off the door fee, plus there is always the option to pay ahead of time online as well which is what we did. Once checked in, they will give you a number for your drinks; this is because no drinks and especially no glass are allowed on the dance floor or in the play areas. To ensure this happens, all drinks, minus water, are kept at the bar with your number on each item. The same number is put on your event bracelet. Immediately once you are inside, there is a playroom (room 1) to your right with a raised queen four post bed and another standard height queen four post bed next to it. As you get deeper into the club: on the right is a hall way which leads to more playrooms and on your left is the way to the social area.
All drinks must be left out in the social area, outside of the playrooms, and out of the play hallway. Yes, we call it a play hallway and this is why. The rooms in the playroom hallway all connect in some way, shape, or form. The first room we entered was dark with a red tint… it had a four post queen sized bed (red room, room 2) and it connected to a room with a platform set up bed with two beds: one raised twin with the other a twin bed a step down from it. Also in this room was a massage table (massage room, room 3). Just off of this room, beyond the massage table was what first seemed to be a closet, but it was a small, intimate room with a twin sized bed in it (closet room, room 4). As we crossed the play hallway, we entered the voyeur room of all voyeur rooms (voyeur room, room 5). It was literally a glass window room; no curtains, no blinds, just a room with walls made of glass. In this room were two small circular beds, a couch, and a chair shaped like a hand which seemed to be very cool and comfy. Attached to the voyeur room, as you walk through a set of glass panel doors, was a three tier platform bed (stairway to heaven room, room 6). Now as we crossed back over the play hallway, we enter the last room in the hall which had two fill sized beds: one was a four post bed and the other was a veiled bed (room 7). All of the rooms were stocked with towels, condoms, wipes, and comfy chairs. The sheets and pillows were all velour and even though we didn’t get a chance to see, we assume that there was an attendant that changed them once the room was emptied. We only say that because there was an attendant type desk outside of the play hallway and hampers in each room.
Minus the hour of 80s music and the issues we mentioned before, we really could go on and on about this club from the locker room to the art walls to the bras and panties hung up as art to the mixers for your drinks to the free bottled water to the diverse crowd to the fact that there was no fuck-​thirty; at 1am and 2am… people were still dancing. It really was a great club and we will most certainly be going back again if they’ll let us after this long review. lol But our review on Facebook is even longer.

My boyfriend and i went for the first time this past Friday. I was nervous at first but everybody was really nice and I felt really comfortable. Great singles and beautiful couples inside. Everyone was really respectful and we had a great time. We will be back :)

updating my review because they finally replied. although i’ve never participated, this is in fact, a swingers club.

This is such a fun spot. We have been to many other lifestyle clubs in southern california and this one is our favorite. Especially because there is a younger crowd! As with most clubs, I wish there were more ladies! It would be so nice to meet more girls. Even just to dance with! I also wish they played more top 40 type music. more hits. rather than older music.

Went here after years of freedom acres. This club is trying but failing. No tour, very open, minimal privacy. Not as classy as others like it. Valet… $ 10! I will be driving the 50 – 60 miles further to get to FA! That should say a lot!

Had a blast last time we went there. I just wish there were closer to our county. But well worth the 2 hr drive. Great people, awesome environment. My friends and I had the best time.

Short update… Can you guys, mainly FUCKBOYs, stop asking me to go as your date. This club actually screens couples and allow single ladies. I don’t know you dudes from Adam and you’ve never donated to my cause so I’M NOT INTERESTED. Please and thank you: D

This place was cool, very inviting and well organized. People are respectful, and the music was nice. Reason why I gave it 3 stars was because there weren’t many single women there. Mostly couples, no unicorns… The women that looked good and were interested in us wanted to bring there ugly boyfriend or old husband along, which we were not feeling! Overall good experience, great vibe and fun people watching.

Tonight was our first time here and we’re hooked! The music was great, the DJ was awesome. The facility was great, the staff was great. We’ll definitely be coming here more often, if you know what I mean?
And talk about accessible! And the fact it’s so discreet adds to the allure!

First of all, it is not located in Beverly Hills any more, it is in an old industrial space south of downtown. It is a really tough business to find a lasting location, I think they tried 3 or 4 before this one.
The theme ideas are great, and when you look at the pictures on their website, it looks very inviting. I like the way they have the membership system set up where you can RSVP and see who is attending and check profiles.
The problem is that the space is odd, and they have had to chop it up even more to get playrooms, bar, bathrooms etc. The ladies’s room is really disappointing, it is not adequate for the crowd, has no lounge area where you can redo makeup, hair et al and poorly ventilated-​also it is not kept clean, and by the end of the night was actually hazardous-​there were smashed water bottles on the floor, spilled drinks-​pretty gross. Also pretty gross was the sticky floor by the bar and in the dance area.
I think they would be better off having ladies take around the towels, condoms etc. Also there is a lack of receptacles for used condoms. and I didn’t see wipies in evidence.
So there is stuff that needs to be worked on to make it more hygenic and inviting.
If you like the lifestyle, this is really the only game in town, and the staff is pretty accomodating as far as letting you do whatever and wherever you get the urge, or if you just want to look.
I would like to suggest that they move the buffet to where they have the lounge and put the pool table where the food is currently. It would be easier to make conversation and it would be a lot easier to eat sitting down. The food definitely is lacking, but then-​the appetite one is looking to satisfy there is of a different nature, mais non?
they also need a host and hostess to facilitate things, lots of people were sort of just walking around looking lost
hope they will keep trying to improve things and get rid of things-​like the see-​through shower
which space could be better used to expand the ladies’ room

This was out first visit to Club Joi and we are now fans. !
Membership process was painless, an on-​line application with a couples follow up phone call and we were good to go. Went on Saturday night, got there at midnight, a little later than planned do to to flight and hotel check in issues. The party was in full swing (pun intended). The location was about a 15 minute drive from our Beverly Hills Hotel. The area a little industrial, but it was obvious where the party was due to the cars in the area, we pulled down the narrow gap in the buildings to the valet stand and we good to go. Into the building thru a side door, a check of ID’s and our membership card and we were in.
We met the two beautiful bartenders and they took our BYOB and made us some drinks and we began to explore.
The club is exactly per the photos. Large dance floor, with the adjacent locker room (bring a combo lock) and multiple rooms set up for playing.
The DJ was spinning a very good mix of top 100 hits.
Not sure if this is the typical crowd, but a very nice mix of people and like most of southern California, very fit and attractive. Average age was in the 20’s to 30’s with a few a little older.
Everyone was very friendly.
Without getting into much detail, we had an amazing time watching and being watched.
We left at 4 am completely spent and happy.
We are looking forward to our next trip to LA and Club Joi.

Steps are indeed being taken to reimburse members who were kicked out of the Club that unfortunate evening, and it’s looking like the club will be back in business. Happy to see it, thanks Club Joi!

Went to this club the first time Friday night, and were not disappointed.
Place is nice and spacious, bartenders friendly and service oriented.
Location is a little sketchy (unmarked cop car parked next to us at the light asked us to roll the window down which we did, and the driver remarked «You’re in the hood! Do you know where you are), to which we laughed and told them we were attending a swinger club in the area. They left with a strange look on their faces.
There were about 15 couples the night we were there, and like other reviews have stated, there were some guys there with obviously paid company, which is a real buzz kill (if I wanted to sleep with a hooker I would hire one), but all in all, attractive couples and not a bunch of heavy setters, which seem to really be into the swinging scene.
Places like this hit miss couple wise. As we left at 2, bunch of the couples were watching a couple in the public play area. Felt contrived and forced. Wife was bummed we left.
We would definitely come back, but might try a Saturday or holiday weekend. Valet parking which you’ll want to use since it’s located in the barrio.

My boyfriend and I hit Club Joi two nights ago for the first time. On the plus side, the club happened to be located about 5 minutes from us. They had valet parking for $ 10.00 right off the top. Staff was very friendly, but there was no tour for newbies. We just had to find our way around. The rooms and play areas were really nice and there were plenty of towels, condoms and mouthwash around. While the DJ was spinning great music, it was SO loud, you had to shout to have any kind of conversation. So, if you are looking to meet some new people, it’s a little harder when you can’t hear what anyone is saying. Restrooms were clean, though.

Been swinging for about a year now. Went here last night with the boyfriend. Clean rooms, wipes, condoms, towels available. Terrible pool table but that’s not what you come for, right? They have a coat check but you gotta ask. Byob. They have mixers and food.
Had a really fun pasties and panty contest that included some voluptuous ladies. Found an amazing couple, did a soft swap. Had a GREAT night. Pure joi.

My husband and I went for the first time last night and are soooo happy we did. You can check your own bottle and mixers are free… they have a heated smoking area outside… the dj is friendly and will gladly play any requests! The lighting is sexy… the bidet. peek a boo shower and play rooms are clean and stocked with towels, condoms, wipes. You can Valet for $ 10, but street parking is plentiful and convenient. It was a predominantly white and latin crowd and there were few fun black cpls. The energy in there is amazing. met some cool ppl… giggled and moaned all night. Even danced on a stripper pole… check it out… if ur a fun loving person u can definitely enjoy this place…

My girlfriend and I had a great time dancing and making new friends.
Some people appeared to be click-​ish, but the majority of people were friendly.
The staff is friendly and the club is clean, well decorated, and has a lot of fancy lights that move and flash to the music.

I never saw myself as a swinger, until I came here. First time at a swinger’s club and let me just say I was nervous! As anyone else would be for their first time. I prepared myself by reading other stories online about their first swinger’s club experience.
So going last night, I was surprised that I wasn’t as nervous as I thought it would be, considering the people there are very friendly and welcoming & diverse; different shapes, sizes, and color. I felt very ‘free’ as if I could be as weird as I like, and no one would think nothing of it. Being naked just seemed like the normal thing to do at club joi.
When you first walk in here, it doesn’t look like a swinger’s club, nor does the outside. Parking is valet, and make sure you have ca$h, it’s $ 10. For membership & night donation, cards are accepted. Basically the layout is you walk in, there’s a desk where you check in, then go down a hall, one is where the private rooms are, another is where the bar and dance floor area is. There’s also an outdoor area for all you smokers with a heater. An additional room with a pool table and a lounge area is also near the entrance, so if you’re too nervous to go to the dance floor area, this would be a great place to start and just chill.
The rooms were themed differently, there’s an asian room, an exhibitionist room, a private room for closet swingers, a room with a massage table, an indian room, and others. They all smelled nice, and the lighting was dim so you’re not completely put on the spot. There’s also fast paced electronic dance music playing in the background. In addition, showers are near the dance floor, and if you want to be out on display, there’s even a peek a boo window! I was bummed no one used the shower that night.
It was a Halloween event, so it was fun to see all the costumes. There was everything from your ‘head’ nurse to a sexy astronaut! They also had a contest where you can win ca$h prizes. I didn’t enter, but wish I would have put more effort into my costume.
For noobs, you gotta BYOB. I suggest bringing some hard liquor, since we just came in with a 6 pack of beer and 2 small vodka shooters, which we drank very quick between my boyfriend and I. Luckily, later that night a couple was nice enough to share some of their stuff with us. The bartenders are fun, Flirty & nice. There’s also a room where there is food, a small buffet. Candy, cookies, a pumpkin pie, some ham, chips, cheese, etc was all there. Water was also provided.
My advice? Don’t come here if you’re a jealous person, as everyone is «friendly» and you will be approached. To be straightforward, the less skin you show, or action you do, the less attention you will get from others. There are condoms, towels, and wipes that are provided in each room. Obviously, if you don’t want someone near, just say NO, and they will usually get the hint.
Will I be back? Cant say. This experience was something totally new for my boyfriend & I, plus i feel going as made our relationship even stronger. Time goes by fast at club joi, as we were one of the last to leave at 5 AM.
