Great atmosphere which compliments the other bars/restaurants on the street very well. The BBQ Beef Tacos were some of the best I have ever had. Great place for a small group looking to have a Happy Hour or some other small post work get together. Beer selection was great.

Cool bar, not too big but has both inside and outside space. Good place to watch the game. I haven’t actually had the food there yet, but it looks great!

This place is litterally walking distance from me and let me tell you I am so happy it is. Not only does it have a really cool vibe, but its great to catch a football or basketball game. They have many beers on tap and the food is excellent. I tried their chicken schnitzel, tater tots, and giant pretzel. they were all soo good and I would definitely come back to try more!

You know, I like this place. It’s not awesome, not bad. just a middle-of-the-road good spot to have a beer. Out of that strip of bars on Wilshire, this is probably tied with Q’s for my favorite. I’d always go to Q’s to watch a game, always to go Bru Haus if I wanted to just enjoy some company. The inside looks classy. The front of the bar near the door is always kind of a pain to walk through because the tables are butted right up near the doors. They do have some TVs but they are so high up you probably won’t want to crane your neck watching them for long. The seating isn’t really set up to accommodate comfortably watching them anyways. Beer selection is great. They had a grapefruit radler from Austria that you gotta try if you’re into that kind of drink. Service was good, the waitress saw to it that we always had more if we wanted it. Prices are typical L.A., at least they have been when I’ve gone(not happy hour). Paid nearly $ 40 for 4 drinks including tip.

My favorite local bar. The décor is nice(and simple), they’ve got enough TVs to keep you satisfied while you wait for your Tinder date(yes, I see plenty of those in here, great people watching), the food is good and the happy hour is amazing. Wine Wednesday for $ 3!!! Need I say more(ladies). The beet salad is delish, the fried tofu is regularly in or around my mouth, and the shrimp Mac n cheese steps up «bar food» to a new level. Oh, and the fact that they offer a vegetarian sausage(that happens to be über tasty) rocks my socks. It’s great for a date, to catch up w friends, to cut the stress of a long work day, or to catch the game. It’s way less douchey than Qs or Cabo, more mellow and professional yet always a good time.

The selection of beer is extensive, which is always a plus when you want to try something new. I got the alligator andouille with sauerkraut and sweet and spicy peppers and was pretty happy. Note: the spicy peppers didn’t seem that spicy at first but it really hit me hard a few bites in. Maybe I’m a wuss, but I’d like to think I pretty good with spicy food given that Mexican food is my favorite. As for pricing, everything is a bit pricey for bar food. Beers run anywhere from $ 7 to $ 12(I think) and the andouille was $ 12(I think). To be fair, I’ve never been completely supportive of «craft» or «artisan» bar food. I mean, if you’re drunk anyways, most hot dogs are going to taste like heaven, regardless of the type of bread and crazy toppings you use. For the food, I’d give there’s stars but since the bartender was so nice I’m boosting it up to four. That’s my break down.

Decent spot to get a beer, they also have a pretty good whiskey collection, including some higher end stuff. The food is ok, its higher end bar food but nothing stands out as too great, except for their fried chicken(schnitzel) which is awesome and on weekends you can get it with a waffle which aint too bad either. In the past few years this place has done a good job of downplaying the fufu factor. Initially, they used to really try hard to be a Hollywood Bar and not a neighborhood spot. While you still get some of that vibe on Saturday nights, it’s mellowing down a lot and has become a great place for a week day happy hour or to catch football on Sunday. Staff is pretty cool group of peeps very friendly and typically do a good job of checking on you w/o lurking. They seem very willing to help and on Sundays make sure you catch your game. Tip: you get a food discount if you check in via Unilocal when you’re there.

I like this place!(For lunch. At night, if you’re looking for a bar, I’d go somewhere else. It’s usually pretty dead here.) The service is always great, the menu is varied, the drinks are solid, and the food tastes good. I don’t know why people knock this place whenever I tell them I’m going to lunch here. Whatever. The fried pickles = so good. The vodka soaked gummy bears = fun, and definitely get stronger as you let them sit. The giant bavarian pretzel = wow. All in all, great place to get lunch.

A good time with fun people and cool beats! Love the chic, clean ambiance of this authentically German spot. Great spot to celebrate anything! Update: Wen, Thanks for your warm response. My favorite dishes are the chicken salad wrap with spinach tortilla, blackened shrimp mac-n-cheese, and soon to be anything on the happy hour menu in the near future. Bru Haus is known for their surprisingly good bar food. The chicken salad wrap is good for something lighter/healthier(sweet potato tots left me nice and full) and the shrimp mac-n-cheese for something heartier. The sauce that comes with the chicken salad wrap is delicious. My favorite drink has to be any fruity, cool mixed drink the bartenders come up with or a standard gin and tonic on nights when I have a celebratory drink(or two). Am mostly a social drinker, but this place is becoming a regular hang out to celebrate accomplishments and hang with great people. Will be sure to connect xxx

Second stop at the Bruhouse Good food(especially the meat ball!) The Bartender had swell banter, but judged my inability to not make a mess. We cool though. She peer pressured me in new drink choices and they were winners! Best part, totally not racist. A stranger is just a friend you haven’t met before. Ps. I bench. Bro E.

I had such an incredible time celebrating my birthday here on Saturday. I emailed the manager ahead of time and reserved several tables because I had about 40 people coming. Once we got there we were introduced to our server, Alex who did a more than fantastic job. Every time we wanted more drinks or food she was always there. She gave such great recommendations and had a smile on her face all night. She definitely added a huge perk for the fantastic experience. The dj came at 1030 and that added fun and created a dance floor. The drinks were delicious and strong here. The food was yummy too. Highly recommend the schnitzel, sweet potato tater tots, and the fried cheesecake. Very happy with the service and staff. This was my first time here but we all had a blast and will definitely be back!

Went here around 6 for happy hour and just beat the after work rush I guess. My boyfriend ordered a Jameson and ginger ale from the happy hour menu it was a perfect ratio. We ordered the GIANT pretzel which was delicious! The pretzel was warm and soft and the cheese dipping sauce was also warm and tasted fresh. Definitely 5⁄5 Off the happy hour menu we got mini bacon quesadillas and buffalo chicken sliders. The quesadillas were good 4⁄5 but could of used a little more bacon, definitely not bad for the price though($ 5 for 3). The sliders were delicious 5⁄5. My favorite thing was the panko crusted mac & cheese, it was AMAZING cheesy goodness and perfectly seasoned I loved every bite 5⁄5 Overall the food was really satisfying and we left happy! However, the service was not the best, our waitress wasn’t very friendly and it was really hard to get her attention even though the restaurant wasn’t busy and she was standing right in front of us. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town.

Came for lunch with my friends during my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised with the deliciousness of their food. Sometimes you assume the food quality will be lower because it is a bar, but the food here is great! I loved the lunch special menu which had plenty of sandwiches to chose from. You choose a sandwich, a side dish, and drink for about $ 9-$ 13 depending on what you get. I had the chicken schnitzel and it was delicious! The brioche bun made the sandwich for me. The lunch box special runs from 11:30−3pm so if you are in the area and have at least an hour come on down. I was a little late getting back to work but it was okay. Maybe look at the menu online and order before you get there to help with time!

Though I’m not much of a beer drinker, I was excited to try out this place because the crowd looked fun and I liked the décor. It was packed when we arrived and almost walked out, but one of the servers spotted us and helped us find a seat. Immediately, we were off to a great start! We sat at the bar and the bartender was also very attentive. The beer selection was great! No complaints there. They also have an extended happy hour that ends at 8pm, which is very cool! The food, however, was pretty dull if you ask me. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Both dishes we ordered(bacon quesadillas and Seoul tacos) were somewhat dry. This is why I’m giving this place 3 stars. But, for people who are there exclusively for the beer, then this is a 5 star place!

The ambience is great if you want to catch a sporting event… however the service was not great. It my buddy and I awhile to get served and long periods of time would elapse before the waitress would check in with us. The food is good… I had the apple bacon Belgian waffle and a chicken habanero sausage. They also has a full bar… overall I was satisfied but the service could’ve been a little better. I came in Sunday May 17th around 2pm… to watch the Clippers game.

So this is a happy hour review: Finally there’s a place that you can go to happy hour after work after braving the LA traffic and you don’t have to worry about missing it. HH runs from 4pm to 8pm on weekdays. The price is basically as good as it gets for the type of beer and drinks you can order. My favorite North American beer, the Allagash Curieux, is nine dollars instead of being around twelve to fifteen at other places. Call drinks are six dollars and wells are four. The food was all right. Well priced and portioned. Overall good bar food. I do want to come back and try their actual menu and see how it stacks up to places like LINK and Wurstkuche. The vibe is really cool and has a trendy feel. Definitely one of my favorite places to go to happy hour on the Westside. And it makes bar hopping easy since Cabo Catina and Q’s are right next door.

If you’re looking for a German getaway in Santa Monica, come here! Smack dab in the middle of other fun bars(Cabo and Q’s), this bar offers a great time. They have fun appetizers(bacon and cheese quesadillas) and a huge list of beers. The service is friendly and they helped make a great party for the advertising event that I attended. I would definitely come back!
