It got better the last few times. Burnt again today and bad service. I think her name is Gelda? First person you line up with to start your pizza was still holding the open sharpie touching people’s pizza with it. Also had the sharpie all over her very used gloves while spreading cheese on my pizza. Asked her to change her gloves, she rolled her eyes and stopped the line and stood there starring then continued to put cheese on the persons pizza in front of us. Gross. Finally changed her gloves but was purposely a jerk and started ignoring us to hold up the line again to fold around 15 or so of the pizza papers. Wth. We were starving and would have walked out. Such an inconsistency of service here…

AVOIDTHISPLACEUNLESSYOULIKEBURNTPIZZA! REALLYAVOIDTHISPLACEIFYOUHAVEALLERGIES! During my first visit, my pizza was incredibly burnt and tasted horrible.(See photo.) After my second visit, I sent the following email, which never received a response after giving them weeks to respond. I visited your Grove location on 1⁄5 at 630. I ordered a gluten free pizza and informed the staff member that I had a strict allergy. He changed his gloves, but that’s it. He then proceeded to press the crust with the same machine that all of the regular crusts are pressed with, and then spread the sauce with the same ladle that is used on the regular crusts. If someone informs you that they have an allergy(which he marked«A» on my crust, so I knew that you guys at least appear to have somewhat of a system for dealing with this, but it’s incredibly flawed) then you need to take much better precautions to make sure. Once he pressed the crust with the regular machine, it was no longer gluten free. Many restaurants are adding gluten free items because it’s trendy, but for a good portion of the population like myself who have a serious, chronic condition(Celiac Disease — look it up) we have to eat food that is actually gluten free, and not just advertised as such and then contaminated. Mistakes like the ones you’re making can cause major digestive issues or even send people to the hospital. Several restaurants have introduced items that they advertised as gluten free and then got lawsuits against them because of cross contamination issues like the ones found in your store.(California Pizza Kitchen had several suits against them the first time they introduced gluten free crusts, causing them to pull it from all their stores. They’ve since reintroduced them since there is a good market for them, but with better safety standards.) I’ve been to several build your own pizza chains with gluten free crusts, and you are the only ones who apparently don’t know what you’re doing. Every other one has separate tools for the sauce, and doesn’t press the crust in the front of the house with the same machine as the gluten crusts.(The staff at this store is unfriendly, on top of it, and I also saw one of them texting on their cell phone when you had a line.) I suggest you re-train your staff on how to handle allergies, or you will eventually find yourself in deep legal trouble. You’re putting people in serious health risk.

I love blaze, but the reason why I’m giving them 2 stars is because the last time k ordered a pizza I did it thru the mobile app. When I arrived they had to remake my pizza because they gave mine to someone else. Then I go again, it was really close to closing time. I guess they were rushing, they didn’t fire the pizza for enough time so it came out really soft and soggy. Who wants soggy pizza. I don’t know if I can go back to them if they keep making mistakes. The one in culver city is amazing. Not this one.

I really like this place. It’s inexpensive, easy, and you can make it as dirty or as clean as you like it… meaning healthy or not so much lol I really like getting it to go and walking over to the Farmers Market, grabbing some beers there and people watching. Just a side note

I really love this pizza place! Very good quality of pizza, an opportunity to build your own pizza only for $ 8 what is really cheap, big selection of the fresh ingredients for building your own pizza, plus, perfect location near the Grove. I would only wish for Blaze Pizza to have more selection of the drinks, because for now it is kind of poor.

I’m not ashamed to admit it: I AMADDICTEDTOBLAZEFASTFIRE’D PIZZA! I dine there several times a week(sometimes for lunch and dinner). Hands down… It’s the best pizza is Los Angeles. In addition to their signature pizzas you also have the option to «Build Your Own». Choose your crust, your sauce(s), your cheese(s) and all the meats and veggies your appetite desires. If you want a little more of this or that; simply ask and it’s yours. Not only do you get GREATPIZZAFORANAMAZINGPRICE the staff is PHENOMENAL. The manager, Jimmy is the absolute best. He always greets you with a smile and personally walks around making sure that everything is perfect… and it’s ALWAYSPERFECT.

1. I showed up to Blaze with the boys to get some pizza. Mission: Accomplished :-) 2. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by Blaze’s smiling staff. I came for pizza, but I left with something bigger: the LOVE of a stranger’s comfort. 3. «What’s your name?» they asked Brent, who was before me in line. «Bryan,» he said. That wasn’t his name, isn’t his name, and never will be his name! «What’s your name?» they asked me. «Bryan… two thousand,» I said. «Bryan two thousand?» «Yes. Who has the better name? Me or regular Bryan?» «You, Bryan 2000.» Brent was devastated. I hope he learned his lesson. 4. «What would you like?» The gimmick of Blaze is that for $ 8 you get unlimited toppings. When you dine in you’ll see dumpster people with hills of toppings on their pizza, getting their money’s worth. Don’t be a dumpster person! Make a pizza, not a mountain :-) So I got a few toppings… I wasn’t sure if there was something I was missing… «Is there a topping I’m missing?» «Hmmm. Sure, try-» and they suggested a topping that I didn’t like so I didn’t get it. A part of me wanted to get it to please them, but honesty is a very big part of who I am. So I declined. 5. «What do you think about my pizza?» «It looks great. I don’t like garlic though.» Now, keep in mind, I LOVE garlic. Not only is it tasty but it’s health benefits outweigh a 1,000 pound barbell… If you catch my drift… But what I’m getting at is: I loved his honesty. His name was Exon. His name is Exon. And his name will always be Exon. Exon is the reason why I enjoy eating out. If you come into Blaze and Exon is working there, you’re in for a treat… Pun definitely intended :-) 6. As you probably guessed by now: The pizza was pizza! And if you like pizza, then consider yourself a pizza at Blaze! 7. I got an arugula salad with the pizza. I don’t like arugula but I keep eating it as to acclimate the taste and eventually enjoy it. «Why do people like arugula? It’s so bitter,» I told the boys, Andrew and Brent. They disagreed! «Arugula is great!» «Arugula is the best type of green.» I disagreed! I asked the people sitting next to us, «Is arugula the best type of green?» They both said, near simultaneously, «No.» I’m sure if more people were asked they would agree with me. Andrew and Brent were wrong. Sometimes only one third of the boys are correct. But that’s okay. They can learn from their mistakes and my rightousness. 8. I would like to address user«M K.» and her review of Blaze. She complains of one of the worker’s attitude issues while her review is laden with attitude itself. I’m sure if the workers at Blaze could review her attitude issues she would be awarded five stars. 9. A few days prior I ate at Blaze in Pasadena and had a wonderful experience as well. Pizza is pizza and anybody who disagrees is probably«fricking annoyed.»(That is a quote from user«M K.» in her review of Blaze. Here’s another quote, «dudes. can you do what you’re paid for?» Pizza is pizza but I’m not sure if people are people!) 10. I have loved pizza, I love Blaze, and I will love Exon. Wouldn’t you?

Okay so I’m really fricking annoyed. My BF and I stopped by Blaze tonight for a quick bite. Normally, we love this place — it’s super fast and delicious and cheap! However, tonight was pretty disappointing. — they let a group throw a birthday party in here, taking up more than half the space and not leaving any space for actual paying customers … I was watching the group and very few of them had pizzas and it was like 30 people, wtf — it took us 30 min to go in and out for a freaking to-go order — the guy who was making my pizza, Kenny, had some major attitude issues. he rolled his eyes at me several times and he stopped helping me in the middle of my pizza to talk to someone else(almost felt like he was talking smack about me) like dude, nobody’s making you work there. take care of your issues at home tyvm — 2 out of 3 pizzas were burnt as hell. like completely inedible and black — the line moved super slowly because all the employees were just talking/laughing/joking around with each other … dudes. can you do what you’re paid for? The only person I found remotely helpful was the girl, Steph, who was kind enough to ask if I wanted her gloves to be changed(because I asked for vegan cheese). Can’t believe how horrible this place got in the few months I wasn’t here.

I work in the offices directly above this place, and I quickly became a regular after my coworkers told me where the delicious smells always wafting from the break room came from. Blaze is as good as it gets when it comes to quick, tasty, fast fired, thin crust pizza awesomeness. On top of their own delicious creations, you can opt to use your imagination and build your own perfect pizza using their quality ingredients(seriously, their ingredients are amazing). My personal favorite: classic red sauce, parmesan AND then mozzarella, spicy Italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon, basil, mushrooms, minced garlic, and finally just a sprinkle of sea salt and oregano cooked crispy is just perfection to my taste buds. They don’t skimp on the toppings either! On top of all of that goodness the manager, Jimmy, is great and runs the place like a well oiled machine. Plus, his efficient employees are always super friendly. Thank you Kenny, Glenda, and Oscar for always making my experience wonderful! My experience here has never been anything but great, and I’m probably going to head over there after I finish writing this review because it’s making me hungry just thinking about it.

Venue The Culver City location it’s nice, because it’s new. The design suits the long lines that sometimes accumulates. It’s clean and there is indoor as well as outdoor seating. indoor tables can be moved in order to accommodate larger parties. The parking lot gets full, as there are several good restaurants in this shopping center; however, there is free valet and metered parking available. Food You can order off the menu; however, being the amazingly creative person that I am — I like to build my own. That means vegan cheese, black olives, tomatoes, artichoke, EXTRA pineapples, and oregano. Yup ! That is pizza perfection. Service This is the best part. So you get there and you order your pizza. My favorite part — they ask if you want them to change their gloves(how considerate!) I always say yes because I don’t want stray cheese or meat falling into my pizza. They are always super nice about it. Second favorite thing, when I say extra pineapple, I get extra pineapple. They do not try to skimp on the toppings. Third, they throw it in the oven a cook it perfectly before slicing it up and boxing it up for you. Note if you get arugula or pesto, make sure that you remind them, since they usually add it on after it cooks.

Love love love this spot!!! Great, friendly staff and always amazing pizza. You get see them make your pizza from start to finish so you can really customize it to make it just how you like it. Also, very reasonable prices! I think I’ve said enough, just go to Blaze Pizza! P. S. — Get the meat eater pizza! It’s my favorite and never disappoints.

Went here for the first time by the Grove! I made a damn good pizza — I got regular sauce and built my own with pepperoni, a couple of pieces of sausage, basil, spinach, a little bit of black olives, a little bit of mushrooms, some salt, some oregano, a smidge og fresh garlic, and I love that the crust is pretty thin, but not hard/chip like. Good texture, great flavor, so cheap at like $ 8, unlimited options, and fast. I am also a huge fan of Pitfire Pizza, 800 Degrees, South End, Pizzeria Mozza, and don’t mind eating Lenzini, Celeste from the grocery store, or Domino’s, Pizza Hut… However, Blaze is up there cause the crust is not so filing and so dough-y or puffy like naan. This place is more toppings centric and the food is fresh. I love 800 degrees because of the truffle cheese but the CRUSTISSOBIG vs the pie/toppings. I love that the crust hardly exists here; it’s just enough for you to hold onto your slice. As damn good as the other places are, I feel like they try to make you full via the tons of crust more than anything… I would definitely return to Blaze and I think there’s one in Culver City which is not too far from me. So price, taste, and crust makes this probably my fave make your own pizza place…

I’ve been craving pizza recently, and a co-worker was telling me great things about Blaze. I recall seeing them near the Grove and since I was off early for today, this was my destination for lunch(3 slices) and dinner(the other 3). Parking over near the market, it was a packed lot. Finally found a spot right outside Blaze so this was meant to be, I walked in to a small line right at the door. The girl right near me behind the counter started explaining how Blaze worked, as another patron was kind to hand me a menu. I had done my research beforehand, but being thrust into the system had me in a standstill. Everything looked SO good. Very similar to one of my favorites Pizza Studio, I kept it easy with classic red sauce, mozzarella cheese with a small amount of parmesan, and finished off… with the only necessary topping. Bacon. The gorgonzola crumbles looked appealing, but I figured I’d keep it simple today. A dash of sea salt, my pizza was in the oven done in minutes. Service just kept getting better as I went person-to-person down the line, but the highlight was a friendly guy who boxed it up named Luis. Had a smile on his face, seemed very enthusiastic, and just had an extremely positive attitude, which was rather addicting. Even though I enjoyed that pizza(still working on it right now), he is also a reason I will return. Don’t forget to get your parking ticket validated. 2 hours free according to the signs.

I’m very impressed with the way this location has really turned things around. My previous review was very critical of the customer service and on my most recent trip for lunch things had improved 100%. It’s obvious that this company take customer feedback very seriously, which I find refreshing and admirable.(It’s still a bit warm in the eating space, but it was a cool day so that wasn’t a problem.) Now to the pizza — from walking in to eating was like 5 minutes. Fast and friendly. The toppings are all delicious, and they complemented the delightful crust nicely. Not too greasy, not too heavy. Just the right amount of everything I love there are multiple styles of garlic and onion, and even several choices of olives, although I would be delighted to see green olives and anchovies offered as well.(Hint, hint!) And as always the blood orange lemonade is a yummy treat.

Like other build your own meal places, sometimes your choices need fine tuning until you get the perfect combination. For my first time, I liked the fixed price of $ 7.95 with unlimited toppings. I wasn’t too hungry so I ended up sharing a pizza with classic red sauce, mozzarella, ovalini mozzarella, parmesan, pepperoni, italian meatballs, basil, chopped garlic, and mushrooms. Although it was good, it needed more seasoning. It needed the sprinkle of oregano and salt at the end, which I didn’t do. It also need a sprinkle of red pepper. Since there were only two large red pepper shakers floating around instead of having small ones at each table, I didn’t notice it until my last slice of pizza. The quality of the pizza crust and toppings is not as good as 800 Degrees. However, the price is good, and hopefully I’ll choose a better combination of toppings during my next trip. The place is small and noticed a lot of take out orders. This place deserves 3 stars for both the food and service.

Los Angeles, CA: Great value for the money! I have been looking forward to trying a pizza from a Blaze. One size, all 11″ in a thin crust. THREE«BUILDYOUROWN» PIZZAS: 1)Zucchini, mushrooms, artichoke, Applewood smoked bacon, ham, gargozola, shredded mozzarella, mozzorella balls, classic sauce *** 2)Turkey meatballs, black olives, spinach, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, classic sauce *** 3)Basil, spinach, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, smoked ham, applewood smoked bacon, black olives, extra shredded mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, turkey meatballs, grilled chicken, oregano, pesto sauce Each 11″ regular, thin crust build-your-own pizza was just $ 7.95! They were delicious! The crust was crispy and my topping laden slices rested on a wonderful bed of pesto sauce. Artisinal quality at near fast food prices. A gluten free crust will add just $ 3 more to your total and I’m told it’ll be even thinner than the standard but taste even better! Thank you, dear Unilocal friend Shelley H., for the head’s up on Blaze! I’m a fan! Spokane just opened one and I am looking forward to stopping in there too, when I return home!

Fast, easy, affordable, and delicious. I love the set up of this place. I’ve been other other places just like this but up in the Bay Area. Definitely has a lot to offer anyone walking in… From vegetarians, to vegans, to gluten free, to people who just don’t give a damn. It’s a fairly large sized pizza, so it’s certainly worth paying $ 7.95. The best thing about it is that it takes less than 5 minutes to cook in that oven I had the art lover pizza, but added olives, and tomatoes to it. So many more things that I would have added to the pizza if I had remembered to do so. The thin crust pizza was wonderful and left me wanting more after each bite. They also have crushed red pepper, and parmesan cheese for use. The slowest part about the process is waiting in the line. Once you get to the pizza crust then you’re well on your way. The process is fun, quick and easy. Highly recommended! Check this place out.
