The food is flavorful here. The turkey chili and a snack with egg salad were stand outs. That is certain. The staff are nice too and know their stuff. Specifically, I mean David and Marco whose suggestions turned out to be spot on. Admittedly, I should have spent more time educating myself on how their system works. Namely, I should have paid more attention to the relatively short shelf life of the food in order to ensure its freshness. That was my mistake. The troubling part for me was the fact that Store Managers in various locations explained different return or exchange policies when I called to discuss the fact that the food I’d purchased the day earlier for an entire week was about to go bad. Even more disturbing is the fact that, despite his steady politeness about it, the Store Manager in West Hollywood didn’t even know the policy at all. I informed him of it. He did have an extensive understanding, however, of how expiration dates work. And, launched into a gratuitous explanation as though I’d never bought milk. After a brief heated exchange, the Manager was kind enough to sort things out. Having now done enough research about what works best for me, my budget, and nutrition, I ultimately chose to go with another slightly more expensive online delivery option. That way I pay a little more to worry less. And more importantly, I avoid the single-purpose trek west when I live and work on the east side. My Fit Foods is a good choice for those that live near a physical location, order online, and pick up on the way home or as a weekend errand.

Great and fun classes! This beats the gym any day. In addition to the regular cross fit classes, PJ offers an amazing gymnastics class! The community is super solid! Plenty of parking.

This place is great. Tried other food services and most don’t let u choose like fit foods does. Not having gluten really helps all my stomach issues, I notice a big difference i how I feel. I usually go on and off fit foods. I use it for 2 weeks or so when I need to feel better or loose weight. It definitely helps you understand how much your body needs. The corn chowder and pumpkin spice oat bake are amazing(pour ¼ of the vanilla protein shake in oat bake). I also love the peanut butter cranberry breakfast bars. This plan is easy to follow. I do wish everything was organic though

Everyone. Please. Love yourself, and do not eat this food. There is delicious food waiting to be eaten, and My Fit Foods will sell you the opposite of that. My Fit Foods sells pre-prepared, «healthy» meals to make it more convenient to eat a fully-balanced, healthy diet. Which would be great if the meals did not taste like napkins. It’s important to note that I really hate wasting food. Even if I don’t like a meal very much, I will make a real effort to finish it before I throw it away. It really pains me to waste food. So it’s really spectacular that I threw away every single thing I got from My Fit Foods. Not only did I throw food away, but I also took a large bite of something and then had to discretely spit it right back out. I never do that. I think it’s really gross and melodramatic to do that. But this food was incredibly awful. The culprit was Denyse’s Turkey Chili with Beans($ 7.29 for a small portion). I’ve been trying very hard to block the memory of that bite from my mind. I also tried the Gimme More Chicken Salad(dried cranberry and tarragon chicken salad, served with a house-made lettuce mix and seasonal berries, $ 7.99) and an oat bake($ 5.59). It makes me very sad to think that people enjoy eating this food. It doesn’t have to be like this! I could be so much better! Dinner is not supposed to taste like someone already ate it. I’m giving them bonus points because the staff was so nice. I honestly feel bad for hating this place because the guy was so cheerful and helpful. He even happily chirped, «I just know you’re going to love this!» as he picked out some(terrible) food for me to try. He seemed so sincere! But he was so wrong. I feel very much the opposite of love for this food.

I keep seeing My Fit Foods stores around L.A. I became curious as to what they are all about, and, so, I visited this one to see if their food is organic and also to find out if I was actually seeing microwave ovens in the photos here on Unilocal. I soon discovered the food is NOT organic and, yes, there are microwaves. They cited cost as being a factor for not carrying organics, saying it makes the meals cheaper for their customers. However, the cost of medical bills incurred by customers consuming pesticides, hormones, saline solutions and possibly GMO’s would be much greater than that of purchasing organic, prepackaged, balanced meals, meals that would actually keep them healthy. Food is medicine. This food should not be called«fit» if it is not organic. Anything other than organic is treated with pesticides, even if it is marked«natural,» and is devoid of much nutrition, if not all. The«Natural» label just does not mean the same to the government as it does to consumers, who are often fooled by government and corporate labels. I also did not find the prepacked meals appealing at all but did find their energy to be repulsive. Sorry, but I have to be honest. «Natural does not mean organic and comes with no guarantees. „Natural foods“ are often assumed to be foods that are minimally processed and do not contain any hormones, antibiotics or artificial flavors. In the United States, however, neither the FDA nor the USDA has rules or regulations for products labeled „natural.“ As a result, food manufacturers often place a „natural“ label on foods containing heavily processed ingredients,» ~ Organic It’s Worth It web site Furthermore, I am appalled that microwaves are even present in a place that offers dietary consultations and advertizes itself as being«fit.» Microwaves radiate foods and, therefore, alter and adulterate them, so that there are no nutrients left at all, making them devoid of nutrition and even more unfit, unhealthy and even more likely to cause disease. I had high hopes for this place and this idea and am very disappointed to find out this information. And, so, I will respectfully decline to patronize and, sadly, cannot recommend it. Perhaps someday, someone will take this great idea, run with it and truly offer fit, organic food. The place is clean, and the staff friendly enough. They truly seem to believe in what they are doing, even though they are either blissfully misinformed or simply hiding or denying the truth. In regard to the reply comment; There is nothing that can be said that can possibly justify the use of non-organic foods, especially in a place that calls itself and its foods«fit.» Non-organic foods and microwave ovens are not«fit.» It is just the opposite and will make you ill in the long run. Sorry, but that is the truth. It’s better to change the offerings to healthier, orgnanic choices. Justifications like this one and the public’s eagerness and complacency in accepting them are what is wrong with our country today. You are what you eat. I am a nutrition and lifestyle counselor and Tai Chi teacher, and I stand by my review. P. S. ~ It is interesting that My Fit Foods has marked this review as «funny» in an attempt to discredit it. That should tell you something.

Absoluteeeeee favorite. MFF is the best ever. I always try to meal prep on the weekends, but with a busy schedule, it gets hard to prep every meal. I rarely have time during the week to actually cook. I’ve tried paleo food delivery places, etc., but for just clean eating, MFF is simply the best. Yes, you have to go there and pick it up(but 1−2x per week is totally doable). It’s very reasonably priced, and there is so much variety. As opposed to spending $ 10 on a lunch and being unsure what’s in your meal, it’s great to spend the $ 10 and to know that your meal is healthy and clean. My favorites are the cilantro lime turkey and the chicken enchiladas from the lunch options. But the great part is when you need low carb options, they have them! It makes meal planning and prepping so easy!

Bought dinner for my husband and I yesterday. The food was delicious, took less than 2 minutes to heat and I liked the fact that I could buy a small size for me and medium for my husband. And the amazing part is that the calorie count is posted. It’s amazing and I will certain be back for several meals per week. It just makes life so much easier and simple. Plus its delicious and healthy.

While MFF conveniently has a ton of locations, this location is my home base. Not only is there parking(validated so it’s free) but there’s also a TJs so I can pick up any addt’l items I need for the week. After a lot of research on prepped, healthier meals, MFF was the most affordable and had the most variety. Plus didn’t hurt that they were at a Unilocal event, so I KNEW the food was good. While they don’t deliver, you can pre-order for pick up online! But, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to partner with like a LA Bite or even Über! Best time to go is in the AMs though! Otherwise, order online for pick up to ensure you get all the foods you want. My tops — I always a get a Small but you will definitely need to snack in b/t meals *Denise’s Killuh Chili(Dinner — Texas style chili with all natural lean ground turkey, tomatoes, black beans, celery, bell peppers, ancho, and poblano) *Oat Bake(Breakfast– Warm steel-cut oat pudding with fresh strawberries, almonds, dried cranberries, and coconut) *Rio Grande Pollo & Rice(Lunch — Latin braised all natural shredded chicken with southwest rice and beans.) *Breakfast Tacos(Breakfast — Chili infused all natural lean ground turkey with eggs and cheddar cheese) *Slim Salmon Cake(Dnner — Flaked salmon cakes with celery, bell peppers, and asparagus spears) I haven’t really hated anything but don’t expect the Chicken Parm to be AS good since it’s nice & grilled. Also, cilantro lime turkey is still SUPER salty even though they reduced the sodium. So, why not 5 stars then? I’ve definitely had spoiled dishes or ones that seemed way too ammonia-y to be okay to eat. Granted these are freshly prepared so QC is hard. But, I’ve had the same dishes but they taste slightly different. Nonetheless. if you have an extremely busy lifestyle and are trying to eat healthier, MFF is a great option.

Clean eating heaven! Just picture the refrigerators you find at 7 – 11 and gas stations filled with healthy, convenient foods. There’s breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and beverages and the dishes come in small or regular size.(I have a large appetite and a small is fine. I recommend the regular for men.) I’ve only tried the Cast Iron Salmon and Chicken Parmesan and both were tasty. Lacks a bit of flavor and oomph so I add salsa or Tabasco(but this is the same situation even when I cook healthy at home). I probably won’t be getting full meals from here since I don’t mind cooking breakfast or lunch, but I will definitely be picking up the majority of my dinners. Park at the Trader Joe’s parking and they validate.

I absolutely love this place! I am so glad that I found it. I work full time as a catering coordinator at a local hotel, and I also go to school full time. I am constantly pressed for time, and despise cooking. My fit foods has been a blessing for me. Since I begun eating here, my body has really leaned out. I always worked out, but my diet consisted of protein shakes, subway, and chipotle. I can see much more gains in muscle from switching over to my fit foods, in just a month! Come here you wont regret it! The staff if very friendly and helpful. However, I highly recommend that you go early, because they tend to run out of a lot of the better meal choices. As to the bad comments people have left on here about fat calories and sodium… I say do your homework. Sodium is needed for muscle contractions, nerve transmissions, maintaining pH balance, and hydration. Sodium regulates the fluid outside of the cells and is needed to pump fluid into the cells as potassium carries by-products out. If you read the labels on the meal packages, although the mg’s of sodium may seem high(ex. 820mg, which is one of the highest sodium choices they offer) that is only 34% of your daily value. If you have 3, meals and 2 snacks a day from my fit foods, rarely will it reach more than 103−110% of what you need a day. That really isn’t that bad, especially since those figures are based on my preferred meal choices. They offer plenty of meals that have a lower sodium count than that. As to the fat calories, just like sodium, we all need good healthy fat. The calories in fat you find in the meals at my fit foods are good for you. I think that the some people(in LA especially) are so health conscious, that they immediately read labels, and then freak out before they realize what it actually means. A no fat, no sodium diet, is an unhealthy diet. Anyways, sorry for venting… try MYFITFOODS, you will love it. :-)

I love this place. Unfortunately I can only afford to buy any of their meals when they are at their sell by date, and therefore reduced. I often find myself going into the store, browsing for a while, then having to do a walk of shame, empty handed, when I find there’s nothing reduced that day. Ah well. The foos itself is great, and for someone as painfully lazy as myself, I love having a relatively healthy and convenient pre-made meal that I can turn to. The one thing that keeps me coming back though I’d the staff. They are really friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.

So this is the only one star place for me I still frequent, mainly because I’m desperate and short on time, and the one item I do enjoy is their chicken and egg breakfast dish(Mix and mash). But another disturbing trend I think the manager needs to be aware of, and you as consumer. Make sure when you pick out a food item that the dish is tightly sealed and food isn’t missing. I’ve caught myself taking dishes that had their container opened and people did who knows what. Well last week I was in a hurry, and I come home and one of my mix and mashes has literally no egg and half the chicken missing. While it was tightly sealed, I’m guessing some vagrant came in and opened it and ate half. They can get away with it because the staff don’t watch you when you buy food. Disgusting.

One word: chili!!! And it’s healthy! I love this concept and kind of wish I had thought of it myself. I have tons of friends who do the meal delivery service and this is the same concept in that it’s great for portion control and loosing weight, but you get to go in and pick out what you want yourself! I like this because you don’t need to commit far in advance in case you don’t know your schedule, plus, who really knows what they want to eat a week in advance?! They have a plethora of healthy meals but my favorites thus far are definitely the chili and the chicken and tuna wraps. The turkey pasta is also great! I want to try the 3 day challenge and see if there is a change in my energy and body. Free parking for 1 hour in the Trader Joes parking lot is awesome as is their chocolate truffles!

I lost eight pounds doing their 21-Day Challenge, so five stars for that! Based on my body and goals, they planned out my meals for three weeks. It was great to not have to worry about whether I was eating the right thing at the right time, and even better to have someone else making it! And now that I’m in the habit of eating«correctly,» I can continue on my own – either picking up their meals a la carte or making my own food. The food itself is pretty good – certainly better, and with more variety, than I’d ever make on my own. Price-wise, of course it’s more than if you cooked for yourself, but less than a comparable meal in a restaurant.

If you’re either too busy or too lazy to cook/assemble meals for yourself or are the type of dieter that is willing to pay to have everything laid out for you meal by meal, My Fit Foods is the place for you. But if you’re looking for a healthy, convenient meal, you’re pretty much better off saving money and buying Lean Cuisines instead. My Fit Foods provides easy, on-the-go prepared meals as well as nutritional counseling, which doubled as a sales push. While the people here are very friendly and do seem to genuinely care about your health, the food just really isn’t very good, and there aren’t very many options for the vegans who abound in LA. Here’s what I’ve tried from My Fit Foods: Oat Bake — 1 star. Absolutely awful. Hawaiian Chicken — 2 stars. Pre-prepared chicken is always terrible. Tasty Tuna Wrap — 3 stars. Not that bad. Denyse’s Killuh Chili — 3.5 stars. Actually kind of tasty, but I don’t know if it’s better than something out of a can. Almond Butter Crunch — 1 star. Charging so much for half an apple, a stick of celery, and a tablespoon of almond butter is thievery I’ve also tried a chicken salad, but I can’t remember what it’s called. I’d give that one 2 stars. I guess you’re paying for convenience with My Fit Foods, because the food doesn’t taste good, has a crazy amount of sodium, would be quite easy to make at home, and is ridiculously expensive.

I’m so excited about this concept of fresh ready-made meals you can nuke in the microwave at your leisure. I’ll do anything to get out of prepping my own meals, so this was a God-send! I’m probably not like the average person because I can eat chicken and rice over and over again like I’m a well-trained Dog… and I’ll scarf it down just as fast too. But for those of you that need some variety, MFF doesn’t disappoint. I’m gonna give you a short Weho science lesson, but in order for me(ME, not you), considering my metabolic rate, in order to lose 1.5lbs per week without losing muscle, I have to eat around 2700 calories a day divided into 6 meals with 40÷40÷20 split between my macros protein/carbs/fat. Sounds hard? Definitely. And when you have to count these minute details of what you’re putting into your mouth, the labels on these meals really help. If you’re still with me, I had the Cajun Chicken with rice(again…chicken and rice… surprise!) for lunch and was thoroughly impressed. Even more impressive was that I didn’t have to cook or prep anything. Just took it out of the fridge and into the microwave. Sure you can say, «But Jerome, why don’t you just go to the café and get a salad?» Well, if you’re a pig like me that has to eat every 3 – 4 hours, it can definitely become a hassle. And being hopeless eater, I’m incapable of portion control, so I’d probably devour the entire thing. And excuse me… do you think my fat ass can be satisfied with a salad? Please. Trust me, it’s easier buying these meals and eating them when I’m ready. That being said, the last time I went in to get some meals, the selection was rather sparse. Maybe I should go earlier in the day. A reviewer mentioned the sodium content in these meals and yes I agree they are on the higher side. Hopefully they can improve on that soon. Go and tell your BFF about MFF!

I am a big fan of this place! It’s kind of awesome. It’s like Nutrisystem and Jenny Craig and those insanely expensive home delivery programs all in one, but better cause it’s fresh and has fresh produce, and it’s way more delicious! I have had a lot of things here, my favorites are the oatmeal bakes, turkey pasta, flat iron tacos, chicken nuggets, wes’s country dinner… it’s all so good. Plus the snacks are fabulous, some have chicken and hard boiled eggs, or even cheese cubes, almond butter and apples! YUM! The people that work here are really nice although they kind of jump down your throat when you come in. I rush in in the mornings before work and they want to chit chat and discuss my diet with me, and it’s like«thank you but I’m just going to grab some food, I know what I’m doing.» But they still don’t leave you alone. I was going through some of the lunches and I turned around and one of the employees was like 3 inches from my face. I was like, good grief, back it up. That all being said, everyone is so nice and I love good service. I just think it’s a little too good. I will be coming here often, the meals are delicious and healthy and so good for people on the go, or with hectic work schedules like me. Such a good addition to the hood.
