Love this place for a quick bite, highly recommend their plates and the wowshis are incredible. Also I love that they have a bar of toppings so you can choose what sauce/veggies you want on your food.

Outrageous. They offer no plates. The server handed me two pitas in one hand and fries in another then the manger told me no plates twice even after I showed I was sitting inside. How was I supposed to put any toppings on? They are so stingy with the toppings they won’t let the customers have plates for fear they will take too much cabbage. I had to take three take away paper bags as a plate. Just ridiculous. Maybe they should put a glass screen and the customers ask for the toppings they want so they can give out the portion size they want. Food was great of course but left such a bad feeling after eating there on paper bags. Please do better.

I really like Bella Pita! Their pitas and wowshis are delicious and fast. The fun thing is that you get to add your own toppings and sauces from their buffet-style dressing bar. The price point is a little high for what they are, sometimes the packaging isn’t solid enough to contain the pita madness(brace yourself for spillage), and the atmosphere feels sort of hollow when it could be cozy, but I do recommend these pitas, particularly falafel.

Although small and unassuming in size and location, Bella Pita is the hidden gem of the South Central cuisine culture that you have been waiting for. From the generous student discount to the serve yourself hummus and vegetable bar, this establishment has creeped its way into my heart and is here to stay. Just like the name, the beautiful flavors found at Bella Pita will burst in your mouth from the first bite. A few crowd favorites include the Chicken Wowshi and the Greek Salad with steak, which I love and are staples in my diet. I am also a personal fan of the Falafel Pita which wonderfully balances the line between its soft and fluffy inside and hot and crunchy exterior. The pita bread is always hot and freshly baked, and the serve-yourself-style-bar is a real winner in my book. The service is pretty standard as the employees are always genuine and helpful. At the end of the day life can have its ups and downs but one thing is for certain: I can always count on Bella Pita to leave me with joy in my stomach and a smile on my face.

Nothing but LOVE for bella pita! I usually get the chicken wowshi, but you also can’t go wrong with the falafel wowshi. The trick to a mouth-watering wowshi is loading up on A LOTOF white sauce and garlic sauce. I also like adding a lot of onions and sometimes hot sauce. Add a small amount of lettuce to balance the flavor. If you want to eat an extra special wowshi, ask them to add mozzarella(additional $ 1). THISFOODISWORTHTHEWAIT!!! The wowshi is made to order… They fry the chicken and bake it in a fluffy pita. It is sooooooooooo amazing! This location is really nice because they have a big enough space for a group of friends to eat together. I’m planning on taking my friends here to introduce them to Mediterranean food. I am sure that they’ll like it just as much as i do. The owner and the staff are really friendly. :) Go to this place if you want to try Mediterranean food for the first time because it really is a good experience. This is one of the best restaurants in los angeles that offers extremely delicious food!!! I can’t say enough good things to this place. The food here can compete with any in n out burger or any great taco in los angeles. I am a big bella pita fan!

Bella Pita is one of those hidden gems in LA you can bring anyone you know. There’s something for everyone: my Lebanese grandma appreciates the authentic and freshness-first preparation of her favorite old-country staples, an inebriated college student loves the late night hours and potential carbo-load of their hot baked pitas, and each time I return, I can enjoy a new combination of fresh meat, veggies, and(excellent) sauces from what I’ve had before. Bella Pita started as a family business venture by an LA computer science professor back in 2006. As this is their third and newest location, it’s by far the largest and most modernized of the chain. For years I’ve seen the same 5 – 6 guys working behind the counter, always excited to see a returning customer and recommend a new item or ingredient for today’s pita. If you have to get one item here, just order a Chicken Wowshi. The wowshi is made from fresh baked pita dough enveloping fresh, marinated chicken, sliced in half and steaming hot for you to add your own veggies and sauce. I recommend filling it with(in order): chicken, hoummus, cucumbers, tahini(sesame) sauce, pico de gallo, garlic sauce, lettuce/cabbage, onions, and the REALLYHOTSAUCE. It’s a family recipe from the owner and unlike any other mediterranean hot sauce I’ve ever had. The quality and diversity of sauces truly makes Bella Pita unique from any other pita place I’ve traveled to, and turns a healthy meal into an indulgent(but still healthy!) flavor experience. Treat yourself and stop by Bella Pita when you can. Then, bring your family and friends to experience the joy of their first wowshi too.

Why is this place so underrated?! I love Bella Pita! The food here is so fresh and tasty. So far I have gotten the falafel, steak pita, and chicken wowshi. They all taste so good and are made fresh to order. I also love how they cut it in half for you so you can stuff in all the fresh veggies. Use your student ID and make sure to get that discount!

Ok. I actually loved the food. It turned out good. The chicken was ok. But the rice pita bread beans and salad had my heart. I would like to try the steak and hope it juicy. Now. As I walked in the guy was on the phone. I wanted about 10 min for him to even acknowledge me. Then he took my order and didn’t want to answer any questions so I had to tell him he need to help me and he need to calm down there were no other customer. After I got my food I asked for a plate(extra) to share with my daughter and this fool didn’t want to give it to me because he thought I was going to fill it up at the salad bar. He was so rude it was crazy. I had to tell him. Sir I don’t want no salad I need to share with my daughter damn. He said Ill do it this time but I don’t want to get in trouble by my boss don’t put no veggies on the plate I said I’m sure u won’t get in trouble for giving a CUSTOMER a plate. Wow. The service SUCKS!!! The food was good tho my daughter and I loved it. They also had a «A» so they were clean.

I loved going to Bella Pita in Westwood when I was a student at UCLA. It was delicious but still felt healthy because of the veggies in it. After I graduated, I would crave it sometimes but was too lazy to drive all the way out to Westwood. Thankfully this location opened, ironically by UCLA’s rival school, USC. However, I didn’t care because there was finally a Bella Pita closer to me! This location is a lot bigger than the Westwood one, with actual chairs and tables where you can sit and enjoy your meal. There’s also a parking lot with free parking, but spaces are limited because it’s in a plaza with other businesses. The menu is the same as the Westwood location. My go-to is the Chicken Wowshi but this time I tried the Koftah Wowshi instead with ground beef. Not bad! But I think I’m still a bigger fan of the chicken. And of course I had to also get the fried cauliflower. Seriously who came up with such a thing?! Whoever did is a genius because who knew you could make cauliflower taste delicious? I’m sure all the oil they add to it to fry it decreases it’s healthiness level, but who cares. It’s making me enjoy eating vegetables so everyone wins here!

BP is the underrated workhorse of off-campus dining. Not as flashy as Blaze, not quite the flavor explosion of Pizza Studio, and forever in the shadow of the Goliath that is Chipotle, it’s understandable. However, considering its great hours(open til 11 or 12, when everything other than McDonald’s is closed) and solid portions(of good food, unlike McDonald’s), Bella Pita really should get more respect as ‘being the move.‘ The chicken wowshi won’t treat you wrong. Salad bar is substantial. Big time sauce bosses might find it a little lacking, but otherwise it should suit your needs.

I ordered them thru post mate… WHICHSUCKED… Do not believe the pictures you see on their website… for the plate, those sides that you see on the website, you have to order them separately… it’s too over priced… the rice was the only thing good

Bella pita? More like this is exactly what I feel like for dinner. Everyone knows I love my salads and my self-serve. Check and check. Convenience — check. Right near USC campus. Menu — check. They got falafel and your other usual fare, along with fries and other typical Med sides. Quality — Pretty good. It was fresh tasting. Location — pretty small. Wasn’t crowded on Friday night. People seem to more grab and go. Awesome concept with make your own salad(or toppings bar). I got the greek salad so they gave me olives and feta, and I piled lettuce, tomato mix, cucumbers, and sauces galore. It also came with pita. The pita was not the best nor the worst I’ve tried. If I’ve got a salad, this bunny rabbit is a happy muncher.

Tried the chicken wowshi today and it was good. I learned the difference between the wowshi and pita is that the wowshi is toasted n split in 2. All in all the food was good n fresh. Topping bar was nice with a basic variety of add-ons(dyi). Only complaint is that they charge $ 3 for a to-go box!?! Nonetheless, I’ll probably try this place again although there are an abundance of other eateries nearby.

I am so glad my friend and I stumbled on this place. We were just looking for a quick healthy bite around University Park and decided to give this place a go. It’s a fairly empty store with wooden benches and a few pieces of artwork on the wall. The tables are ridiculously sticky but not dirty; I’m not sure what the deal is. I ordered the Chicken Whooshie. It took about 5−10mins for them to make it because it’s made fresh. The smell of that pita when it came out was to die for. It was perfectly toasty but soft. The chicken was a tad salty for my taste but great when you put the right stuff in it. There’s a salad bar so you can create your own Whooshie. Each order comes with two halves so you can have two different creations. The garlic sauce is like the one at Zankou so I went nuts with it. My favorite thing in that salad bar were the sliced pepperocinis. They really added that something extra amazing. Best part was that it’s only $ 7!

The best part(and one of the few good things) about Bella Pita is the fluffy texture of their bread. I’ve been here a couple of times in a hurry for a meal close by to USC campus, but the service is very slow and it always seems to take way longer than necessary for me to get my food.(Why does it look like there is only one employee in the store at one time?!) The other good thing about Bella Pita is their unlimited toppings and sauces because then I can add as many tomatoes and as much tzatziki as I want. One thing I hate about Bella Pita is that their tables are obnoxiously sticky. I’m terrified to touch or put anything on the tables because they will never come off clean. I don’t understand how it could be so hard to wipe them down after customers leave, but I feel pretty unsanitary in there. If you decide to come here because you are craving pita bread/Mediterranean food, I would recommend the chicken wowshi. The wowshi has a better ratio of meat to bread than the pita, which seems like one big hunk of bread. But you can definitely get better food elsewhere, and still be close to campus.

It seems like the owner is rude and very cheap. He wouldn’t give me a container to put the wowshi because he thought I was going to fill it up and take it. I explained that I just wanted to put it in a container so that it wouldn’t leak through the paper bag they provide. He asked me multiple times what I was going to use the container for even after I assured him that I was using it to hold my wowshi and that I would not take any extra toppings on the side. A piece of parchment paper is not enough to hold in liquidy topping, especially when the food has to be kept in a paper bag for the car ride home. This is very disappointing because I was coming here once or twice a week.

I did not have a bad experience with this place, nor did I receive bad service. Actually, the service I got was quite good! I came here one day with my friend and ordered the falafel. And let me tell you, that falafel was very well made. Although it took some time to come out, the falafel was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. It was not dry and the size of the ball was big … The only thing I would comment about is that I wish they gave me more, since I only got ~4 in my pita. It’s okay though, cause the falafel was really cheap(~$ 4?) & when the pita bread comes out you can stuff it with whatever you want. I added carrots, white sauce, and this really amazingly good hot sauce. It was spiiiicy, but totally worth it! This place was a really great fast dinner if you’re feeling Mediterranean and something cheap.

We were near USC one night after a Laker game and wanted something quick to eat so instead of hitting La Taquiza, we tried this place. I ordered the lamb wowshi. There’s a little bar near the register where you can add all of the fixings to your order. My recommendation is to just get ignorant with it and add a little bit of everything to your order with extra tomatoes and green sauce. The result is a very satisfying flavor that is relatively light on your wallet and your stomach. I would definitely return here for another lamb wowshi.

Bella Pita is delicious, but the service is too slow to justify more than 3 stars. I’ve been to Bella Pita on many occasions for falafel pita with the sautéed cauliflower side dish, and when the restaurant gets more than a few customers, it will easily take 20 – 30 minutes to get my pita. However, I love that I get to add as many toppings and sauces to my pita as I’d like at a DIY salad station. The falafels are also delicious. Bella Pita offers a student discount if you present your ID. If the restaurant can hire a few more people, it will certainly add to the experience at this establishment.

Comfortable and nice Mediterranean restaurant that gives great service. The inside is much cleaner than the shopping center it’s in so don’t get discouraged to peek your head in. You will not be disappointed. There’s a self-serve veggie/condiments bar so you decide on how much you want to pack your pita or wowshis.
