This is the latest addition of breweries to the Arts District in Los Angeles and I must say it is simply amazing. The atmosphere is fun and lively and the bartenders are very knowledgeable. My brother and I ordered two flights and sampled some of their beers. A few were misses such as the: Busy Bee, The Stumblin Dublin and the Mateo. Others were hits and those were: Snapdragon and Stolen Valor. Those two were great. We had a cool conversation with the bartender named Mike, that guy is cool and knows a lot about the craft beer scene in LA. I would come here again for sure.

So this place is right next to a parking lot, which you have to beware of. They will try to jib you of money if you wanna chill for more than 2 hours. The valet guys charge you $ 12 when you drive in and if you only park for 2 hours, they give you $ 7 back. But if you stay longer, they only give you $ 2 back. When I went there with 3 other people, all of us were not told the latter part. Which sucked big time. BUT props to the manager of Arts District Brewing Company. We went in to tell him the situation and he helped us to right the situation with the valet guys. I could tell that they take customer service and customer satisfaction very seriously. My friends and I were extremely impressed. On to the real review: They have a great selection of beer and a fun atmosphere. They also have decent food which is a little bit pricey. There are games like foosball and cornhole that you can play for free and skee ball that you can play for $ 1 per game. I will definitely be back :) Had a fun night.

This was our third and final stop enjoying breweries in the area on a Saturday afternoon which ended up being my least favorite. Yes, it’s a great space and yes I enjoyed my beer(Mateo) but found it to be more of a circus than I prefer. Even at 4:30p, it was packed. Took 30 minutes to get our food, it was three deep trying to get a drink and forget getting close to any of the games. We shared a table with a few others just so we could find a place to put our tots. The crowd, no surprise, seemed like they were trying WAY too hard to be cool. Wearing a Pizza Port sweatshirt to another brewery is the equivalent of wearing an Oasis shirt to a Blur concert — it makes you a douche. Funny thing is we saw the same group here that we did at Iron Triangle an hour earlier and they were trying too hard over there too. Especially the guy in a Star Wars shirt that stopped fitting him in 8th grade. I’m certainly up for giving them another try but would much rather spend my time at Mumford when I’m in the area.

Good beer, food, cornhole, skeeball and darts… am I in heaven? Arts District Brewing Company is a really great find! The beer was really good! They had 7 of their own beers and a large selection of others to try too. We started with a sampler of 4 beers and then ended up having a few glasses of the ones we liked. My favorites… Snapdragon — Belgian dubbel, tasted like caramel! Stumblin Dublin — Irish red, malty and smooth You can order food from Fritzi and eat it inside with your beer. Food was great! After we ate, we ordered more beers and played games for a few hours. The games are free, with the exception of skeeball — $ 1 per game. Awesome time had by all. We will be back!

I’ve been here twice now, once on a Saturday afternoon trip, another Monday night. Decent crowd both times, but I would certainly not consider those peak hours. While I’ve heard the place can get packed, if you are looking for a quiet place to drink a beer, those were both good times. The building is beautiful, open, industrial and in the same vicinity as Wurstkuche, Pie Hole and Angel City. They also have old school games like skee ball, ping pong, darts and the like. I’d definitely take those over«barcade» choices any day. Hearing that Devon Randall, head brewer from Pizza Port, was brewmaster here was certainly the most compelling reason to check this place out. Over two visits I’ve had the chance to try all colors of their beer rainbow including the Francois, Mateo, Busy Bee, Traction, Porter Rico, Snap Dragon, and Redbird. Overall pretty good. As much as I try enjoying the lighter stuff, it’s the higher ABV choices that really shine here such as the Traction, Redbird and Porter Rico, which is about what I would expect from a San Diego brewer. They do what they do very well. If you are looking for food there is a window leading to Fritzi(which I believe just opened up a dining area as well) that serves up «elevated» bar foods like burgers, dogs and wings. I’ve only had a chance to try a smattering of the burgers, but wasn’t disappointed. They are small, but they are also rather inexpensive and packed with flavor. First time here I ordered one turkey burger and one regular beef burger. Word to the wise, get the beef-bacon blend. It’s not that the other two were bad, they were quite good actually, but I mean beef and bacon together in a patty is just going to trump those any day. If there is one small complaint, I think it’s kind of B.S. they have you paying extra for dipping sauces. I know a few places that do this and if it’s becoming a trend, it needs to stop now.

A welcome addition to the brewery scene. Street parking is getting more competitive as this area grows but it is not impossible. They also have a paid lot right next store. They offer so many activities in addition to sampling beer. These include ping pong, skee ball, jenga and cornhole. Their outside patio has heaters and is dog friendly. Unfortunately, because they serve food no pups are allowed inside. You will have to send someone inside to do the ordering but it looks like they are set up to have an outside bar too.(Perhaps for in the summer?) The space is huge so this would be a great place for a large party. Not only do they offer their beer but they have a selection of guest beers too. They also have a full bar for the non-beer people… I still recommend you at least TRY a flight.

I’m not quite convinced this is the new must go to brewery in LA as I thought the beer was just okay(better than Angel City), but I do appreciate the breath of fresh air this place gives. Very close to Pie Hole, Wurstkuche, and Angel City, so it’s in a pretty optimal location and with that shitty parking. Although I’ve gotten away with never having to pay(I believe in free parking ALWAYS), you will be frustrated by the lack of parking. Do yourself a favor and just park farther and make the walk. I don’t trust any of the lots around this area; they only know how to rip you off. Seems really popular for having been recently opened. I definitely give them big brownie points for the variety of games they have(skeeball w/a fee, ping pong, darts(albeit kind of tattered already), corn hole, and foosball.) Indoor seating is high tables w/bar stools or a few booths(I dig the booths) or outdoor seating is picnic style. Can order at two sides of the circular bar. It’s a full bar so it appeals to the non-beer drinkers but I wouldn’t really recommend you check out a brewery to get cocktails, like why would you do that? The bartenders don’t look very happy to be there and I didn’t get that beer loving enthusiasm that I like most about visiting breweries so this place definitely gets a minus for that. I wish they had their IPAs available when I came because their tap list was dismal upon opening on a Monday. They said they’d get their taps up for the other beers later in the day, but I wasn’t really down to wait. The Velveteen Rabbit Oatmeal Stout was just okay, I didn’t get much creaminess or full mouth feel, which I think is staple for a stout. I didn’t care for their Golden Ale that my friend ordered. Pints ranged in prices but they don’t compare to how cheap other breweries are so that was also a bummer. I’m willing to give this place another try, but I wasn’t wowed by their beers. They definitely got the whole ambiance and entertainment part down though. Oh yeah and this place along with the entire Arts District area screams ~ h i p s t e r ~ but what’s new.

Definite #fan of this place! Used to be the old Crazy Gideon’s, and I hope I didn’t just date myself — Haha. Anyways, this brewery is huge. I believe about 17,000 sqft from what I heard. There is a parking lot that charges only $ 5 with validation for up to 2-hours. Depending on the day of the week, you can score street parking. Lots of better-than-good craft beers on tap. By default, I go for their very own Traction IPA. Nice and hoppy. Pours a golden amber with about a 2-finger creamy head. For those that can’t decide, I recommend their flight. You can sample light-to-dark. They have food available but, since we were there to pre-game, we passed on the food. However, it is a Fritzi’s and you can get gourmet finger foods like wings and tots that would pair nicely with your beer. Also would like to mention they have a fully stocked bar. It doesn’t end there — There are dartboards, skeeball, and ping pong table inside. The giant wraparound bar is great, plenty of inside seating and a heated patio with more seating. All in all, this place is a great addition to the area. Bartenders are cool and a few have above-average knowledge of beers! Highly recommend this place. Whether it’s the beginning(or end) of your bar crawl, you will be partying it up with a bunch of professionals, hipsters, wanna be actors/actresses, models. You never know, we may even run into each other! if so, let’s raise a glass and cheers. Enjoy!

Arts District Brewing Co is located right next to the parking lot on 4th street. Parking is about $ 15 the whole night during the weekend. INTERIOR! The interior of the brewery is awesome. Very industrial with games(foosball, darts, and of course SKEEBALL) They also have a big projection screen to play sport games. There’s plenty of seating all around. You can sit by the bar, outside the bar, and by the Skee ball machines. The BEER! When we went in, they were out 4 of their 9 beers. This was a big bummer for me especially since it was only 6pm… Even though they carry other brand names aside from their own, I specifically went in to try their beer. Beers go for about $ 6 – 7 bucks which is fair. I notice they also sell different types of glasses which is pretty cool. The FOOD! They do have food available from Fritzi. There’s a little window inside where you order for your food. Wait is about 15 minutes. I hate to say that I was not happy with the food served. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but the turkey burger was pretty bland(not to mention that it was TINY). The quinoa salad was ok. You get more from the salad than from the burger. $ 7.50 for the burger $ 5.50 for salad. This review won’t be based on the food since it is handled by a different company. Just thought I’d mention it. Overall I’m glad they opened a brewery in this area. The Art District needed one.(aside from their nearby competitor) I’ll definitely be back to try their other beers I missed out on. Have my beer ready Arts District Brewing Co!

You gotta love the ever growing beer culture in Los Angeles. We now have three at least breweries in DTLA. Arts District Brewery offers games and beers. We tried a four beer sample of * Francois(Light Belgian) * Tune in Tokyo(snappy pale ale) * Snapdragon(caramely triple Belgian) * Dublin(smith nitro Amber) * Porter Rico(excellent porter) For games they’ve got: * board games * eight skee ball machines * darts * ping pong * fooseball * cornhole They also have food but I did not order any.

A new brewery and a place to drink in the Art District. A nice spot with a big bar, games and food as well. They have there own brewed beer on tap and as well as other known beers(Stone, etc). They also serve liquor and mixed drinks which gives it a place of variety. Of course like anything in this area the parking is bad. We parked in the parking where this place is located and we payed $ 5 for 2 hours which isn’t bad. $ 15 for the whole day. I am not a fan of the food though. Not because of the taste but the price. $ 8 for a tiny little burger. It was full of flavor, but it was as tiny as a slider. The tater tots were a decent portion. You also have to pay a couple cents for extra sauces. So if you come with an appetite, I would recommend eating beforehand.

Great beer, games, and a chill ambiance make this a bar I definitely want to revisit! I came here with a few friends and we shared two flights of various ales and stouts. Since I am basically Pooh Bear, my favorite was the honey ale that had«bee» or something in its name. It was smooth, delicious and slightly sweet that me want to down more and more even though the flight cup was so small. The stouts were also good, and even though I’m not huge on IPAs the ones I tried were also good. This place also has skee ball, darts, ping pong and more so you can play something and then drink when you take a break and watch others. A really fun place to hang out and get some awesome honey beer.

Bag Toss, Foosball table, Skee ball, you know all them fun drinking games :) If you dig craft beer you gotta check this place out! Their Red Rye IPA is the business!

I’m lovin’ this place! 1st — Their beer is good. I think I’ve tried all of them now and I haven’t been disappointed yet. My favorite right now is their Porter Rico. Mmmmm dark and tasty + I enjoy saying«Porter Rico.» 2nd — The staff is friendly and does a good job. The security staff is nice and now that we know each other we chat a bit. I find this very important because security at the door is usually the first person you encounter at the business, they have a serious job to do but they actually also welcome you(hopefully). The bar staff is great, friendly and I never have to wait long for a beer. 3rd — They have food on site. Unlike some other local spots, Arts District Brewing has a restaurant inside. I like the consistency. Knowing they will be there and knowing that I enjoy what they serve. You have to order and pay at their window, they give you a vibrating coaster thing and when it vibrates you go back to the window for your food. The restaurant side is Fritzi. They have another location at the Farmers Market at 3rd& Fairfax. They have a larger space that they will expand into but it is still under construction as I write this. They have games: Darts, Ping-Pong, Corn Hole, Foosball & Skee Ball. I’m not really into the games but it is fun to watch sometime. The Skee Ball does not give out tickets. Sad. I would play more if you could win a prize. I think there should be tickets and you should be able to exchange them for a beer, hotdog or branded merchandise. Also — One BIG plus — they have a full bar! You can bring your friends here even if they are not beer aficionados and they won’t be begging to leave after you have one beer.

Having been around the Arts District a couple of times, this is one of the better spots in town. Good beer — variety on tap $ 6 – 7 and there are flights available(4 flights for $ 9 I believe) Ping pong — one table so be sure to call line! Skeeball — 8 – 10 skeeball machines with credit card machines. Corn hole — a couple available Outdoor seating with heaters — avoid the crazy crowds inside. Sadly they close it off around 10:30−11 Food — Fritzi serves food here to help with your drunchies! Good crowd, albeit big crowds so it gets pretty tough to move around/gets hot if you stay indoors. Could use a few more bartenders during peak hours. There’s an attached parking lot, or free street parking around if you’re willing to walk 5 – 8 min. One of the better breweries in the area.

This place is a gem. The arts districts area in downtown is just getting better and better! After a night out at 82, we were strolling through the streets to find Angels City Brewery when we happened to enter Arts District Brewing Company instead. This place was really cool. The selection of beer is awesome and the vibes are so chill. The service was great and they even have a corner where you can order really yummy looking food. The music was good too and they have skee balls in the back! But I think the best part of the night was when the manager put two glasses of iced water w/lemon in front us before they were about to close(that’s how much they care) and it was the first time in my life that I didn’t have to ask for the lemon!!! So I will definitely be returning here when I’m back in town with some more friends!

This place is legit. I came here on New Years Eve Eve(if that’s even a thing), only a short while after they opened. It’s located in the Arts District, hence the name, right by Pie Hole, Eighty-Two, Wurskurtche… etc. Thoughts: 1) Wow, this place reminds me of Portland. It definitely gives off the hipster, chill vibe like all breweries should. 2) They have a solid selection of beers, some are crafted in house and others from elsewhere. I forgot what I had, but I definitely will be coming back here again! 3) Lots and LOTS of sitting room! There are tables everywhere — inside and out. So this would be an awesome place for groups. 4) There are«HD»(or so I am told) projectors that screen sports games on the walls. Pretty cool, also a necessity for a brewery. 5) THEREAREGAMES! There’s darts, ping pong tables, skee ball, corn hole…

Came here for the first time this past Saturday. It was semi-full and easy to get a table around 9PM but the place filled up considerably only an hour later or so. Not a huge beer drinker(they have other options available like cocktails!) but decided to try a flight since it is a brewery after all. Told the bartender what kinds of flavors and notes I like and she recommended four for me. You choose four options for one flight and it’s only $ 8. Actually really enjoyed all the beers and my more serious-beer-drinking friends commended the beer options at this place. For those arriving pre-dinner or for those hit with drunchies, they offer a bunch of food options. There’s a counter at the back where you order and then are given a number. We had the ham fries and tator tots – both were just okay, won’t be tempted to get them again but won’t dock any stars for the mediocre food. Really like the layout and space. There’s a I spacious outside patio area as well as several booths inside in addition to the bar area and taller standing tables. After filling up on some booze and getting a nice tipsiness going on don’t forget to play the games! Skeeball is $ 1 per game and surprisingly super addicting. Went into it saying I would play just one game for fun but I think I ended up playing like 5 or 6 games? Was playing against a few friends and wanted to keep winning hehe. It’s located in the Arts District(duh) and there are a bunch of restaurants, dessert places, etc. in close proximity if you want to wander and explore elsewhere afterwards. Park in the lot right next to the brewery. It’s $ 12(you pay upfront) but only $ 5 for the first two hours with validation.

Whoa, when did this go up? Met up with friends for some pre-drinks before an event at Angel City(beer before beers!) and I was impressed at how large and cool it was. The bar is huge and since there was only one guy working at the time it took a while for him to get around to me and my flight but it gave me some time to take a look around. Lots of games and seating everywhere, and since it wasn’t crowded at all it had a mellow vibe. I imagine once this place gets packed it might be crazy, but on my visit it was mercifully chill. They also have a little eatery operating in a corner by the bar and whatever they were cooking smelled wonderful. I didn’t get to sample any of the food but next time, for sure. The beers were quite good, and my overall first impression was very positive. I am definitely coming back! STEPHJUDGEMENT: Another great brewery option in DTLA.

My husband and I stopped by here last night to pregame and have some dinner before we head to the Odeza show at the Shrine. It’s a couple blocks from my work so it was really convenient to get to. I was surprised to see how big Arts District Brewing Co. is since I didn’t expect that from the street view. There is a really cute patio area, but it was wayyyy too chilly to sit outdoors. We headed straight for the bar and there were 8 beers on tap(they ran out of the Traction IPA) and a full bar if you wanted a cocktail. The bartenders were really nice and friendly. The beer selection is very small, but I heard they have plans to expand their tap list — hopefully they have more IPAs in the future. I tried the Rye IPA and it was really nice and hoppy. Solid beer, but not my favorite. We also ordered some food from Fritzi to wash down the brews + French Fries — crispy and perfectly fluffy potato in the center. One of the better thick cut fries I’ve had in awhile. It’s really good with the house made ketchup which was really mild in flavor. + Turkey Burger — Super juicy, and good brioche bun. Came with a decent amount of horseradish and mustard. The burger was on the smaller side so my husband was still hungry. Overall, light and tasty. + Fritzi — Chicken sausage on a bun. They were superrrr generous with the ketchup and mustard and I felt the dog was a little overdressed. Besides that, it was tasty. My husband liked it more than the burger for sure. Overall, the brewery is super dope. There is a whole row of retro skee-ball machines as well as some corn hole and darts. I love the layout of the brewery as well. There are tons of seating arrangements to cater to different size groups. The bar is 360 wraparound and right at the center of the venue which makes it convenient to order a drink. Easily one of the dopest breweries in the neighborhood.
